About Panda Express
Panda Express is a Chinese restaurant located at 353 N Pass Ave #A, Burbank, CA 91505, USA. They can be contacted at (747) 477-3603 or +1 747-477-3603.
Based on online reviews, this Panda Express location in Burbank offers friendly service, with customers noting that the staff, including the manager and chefs, are generally helpful. One reviewer mentioned that if you arrive by 8:00 PM, the staff might even cook an extra batch of a desired item if it's not readily available.
However, the food quality appears to be inconsistent. While some customers have experienced freshly cooked and good-tasting dishes, others have received food that seems to have been sitting out for a while. Popular recommended items include the beef and broccoli, chicken and green beans, honey sesame chicken, and shrimp (when available).
Another reviewer described their experience as "hit or miss," acknowledging that as a fast-food establishment, the quality may not always reach the level of a traditional restaurant, especially since much of the food is pre-prepared. They highlighted its convenience, speed, and affordability. This reviewer advised customers to check the freshness of the dishes and not hesitate to ask for a fresh batch, which usually takes less than 10 minutes. While service is generally great (around 90% of the time), occasional apathy from staff has been noted.
Portion sizes are also reported to be inconsistent, sometimes reasonable for the perceived freshness and other times seeming small for food that might have been under heat lamps for an extended period. The orange chicken is particularly mentioned for its variability in sauce quantity, sweetness, and spiciness, often containing a lot of starch over small pieces of chicken. The chow mein noodles are usually good, but the vegetables are not highly rated, sometimes equaling the amount of noodles. The broccoli beef often contains too much broccoli, though the beef itself is usually consistent. The honey walnut shrimp, while a favorite for one reviewer, suffers from inconsistent portion sizes (often small even with an extra charge) and a lack of walnuts. The grilled chicken is seen as a consistent and healthy option with plenty of meat. The fried rice is described as okay, typically containing a frozen vegetable medley and very little egg.
As a Chinese restaurant in the fast-food category, Panda Express in Burbank offers a convenient option for a quick meal. Features include friendly service and the potential for freshly cooked food if requested and available. However, customers should be aware of the reported inconsistencies in food freshness, portion sizes, and the preparation of certain dishes like the orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp. Checking the food's appearance and asking for a fresh batch when necessary are recommended strategies for a better experience. No specific promotional information was mentioned in the reviews.

I eat at this Panda Express a lot. Service: The entire staff is super cool. The manager is cool and the chefs are always down to help you out. If you get in there by 8:00 even if they don't have what you want sometimes they will cook you an extra batch. Food: The food is good but it does vary. If you look through all my pictures sometimes you get that extra fresh just cooked food and sometimes you get that must have been here over 30 minutes food. I'm a creature of habit but I would definitely recommend the beef and broccoli, the chicken and green beans, the honey sesame chicken, or the shrimp when it's available. Also last but not least I always highly recommend most people that work in customer service industry or Chef life should get a massage and if you frequent this Panda Express then you're also right next to one of the best massage therapists on the west coast healing hero hands. Just a fun fact about Burbank and this area.
Hit or miss. Sometimes the food is good, sometimes it is only ok. It's fast food so unfortunately it's hard to reach great when compared to restaurants. Especially when it is prepared before you get there for the most part. It is convenient, fast and not expensive. If any dish is low, unappealing and or does not look fresh; do not hesitate to ask how long for a fresh batch. Usually it's less than 10 minutes, if you are willing/able to wait it may just be worth it. Service 90% of the time is great, very friendly. Every once in a while someone is apathetic but luckily rarely rude. Portion sizes are hit or miss, sometimes it's not bad considering the freshness, sometines you're like I paid how much for food that has been sitting under heat lamps for who knows how long? The orange chicken isn't too consistent, I'm not sure if it's difference of chefs or not. Sometimes there is a little sauce, sometimes a lot. Sometimes it is super sweet, sometimes just right. Sometimes it is really spicy, sometimes it is just right. Almost always there is a ton of starch over relatively small pieces of chicken. Some of the smaller pieces seem like there is no chicken. The chow mein noodles are usually good, but the veggies aren't great and sometimes there seems to be as much veggies as there are noodles. The broccoli beef si ok but almost always there is too much broccoli. The beef is pretty consistent and not bad. The honey walnut shrimp is my favorite but not very consistent, almost always too little walnuts and half of the time the portion size is small even if you pay the 1.25 premium fee. The grilled chicken is consistent and a good healthy entree. Plenty of meat. The fried rice is ok, the veggies are probably frozen medley and usually very little egg. Wish there was more, really adds tonthe flavor profile.
This place was great before they change the manager. I would give them 0 star if possible. I ordered a plate with chicken, shrimp, rice and chow mein and they only gave me rice and chicken. Don’t come to this panda!!!!
This is just a PSA to the Diet Coke drinkers out there-- I'm pretty sure their Diet Coke machine dispenses Coke Zero, either that or it just tastes terrible. Otherwise the place is good, I live nearby so I walk there fairly often.
I want to start by saying staff are great , the only thing is that food is way over greased . I have tried multiple locations but it made me sick . As I was eating the food was dry but very greasy . Photos don’t lie . I had to throw the food away .
