About Panda Express

Panda Express, located at 639 N Harvey Mitchell Pkwy in Bryan, Texas, is part of a well-known chain of Chinese fast-food restaurants. While Panda Express is generally recognized for providing quick and convenient American Chinese cuisine, recent customer feedback regarding the Bryan, TX, location raises some concerns about its service and food quality. For local users considering dining at this establishment, it is important to be aware of these recent experiences as reported by other customers.

One particularly concerning review details an encounter where a customer arrived at 9:18 PM, and despite being told they would be assisted shortly, was then informed that the lobby was closing soon and they would need to order for takeout. Upon inquiring if they could eat inside, the customer was told they could but would have to eat quickly as the lobby would close in just nine minutes at 9:30 PM. When asked if they would be asked to leave at the closing time, the staff confirmed they would. This interaction suggests a rigid adherence to closing procedures that may not prioritize accommodating customers who arrive shortly before the stated closing time.

The customer who shared this experience further emphasized their perspective as a restaurant manager, stating that even if guests arrived just one minute before closing, their own establishment would allow them to sit and eat. The reviewer found the way they were spoken to by the Panda Express employees to be beyond unprofessional. They expressed confidence in their ability to eat quickly and clean up after themselves but were ultimately deterred by the unwelcoming attitude of the staff. This account raises significant concerns about the customer service provided at this particular Panda Express location, particularly regarding interactions close to closing time.

Another recent review expresses strong dissatisfaction with the food quality. The customer went as far as to call the food "hot trash," a sentiment they rarely express due to their awareness of global hunger. This harsh assessment indicates a significant negative experience with the meal. The reviewer specifically questioned whether the restaurant intentionally used the "fattiest, sickest chicken thighs" for their dishes. Additionally, they raised concerns about the portion sizes, acknowledging the impact of inflation but still finding them to be "ridiculous." This feedback suggests potential issues with the quality of ingredients and the value offered in terms of portion sizes at this Panda Express location.

The reviewer who described the food as "hot trash" also drew a comparison to Panera Bread, implying that if Panda Express continues on its current trend, it might face similar struggles. This strong statement underscores the level of disappointment experienced and serves as a warning about potential long-term consequences if the reported issues are not addressed.

Based on these recent reviews, it is challenging to provide a positive description of the environment and services at this specific Panda Express location. The negative feedback regarding staff interaction and food quality overshadows any potential positive aspects that might typically be associated with the Panda Express brand, such as convenience or familiarity.

The reviews do not offer any insights into the cleanliness or ambiance of the restaurant's interior. The focus is solely on the negative experiences related to customer service and food quality for a takeout order. Therefore, local users seeking information about the dine-in environment will not find it in these accounts.

Similarly, there is no mention of any special features or promotional offers at this particular Panda Express location in the provided reviews. Customers primarily focused on their negative encounters with staff and the perceived poor quality and insufficient quantity of the food they received.

In conclusion, recent customer feedback for the Panda Express located at 639 N Harvey Mitchell Pkwy in Bryan, TX, presents significant concerns regarding unprofessional customer service, particularly in relation to enforcing closing time policies, and notably poor food quality with unsatisfactory portion sizes. Local users considering this Chinese fast-food option should be aware of these recent negative experiences. While these reviews may not be representative of all experiences at this location, they serve as important indicators of potential issues that prospective customers might encounter. It would be prudent to consider these recent insights when deciding whether to dine at or order from this specific Panda Express restaurant. For further information or to inquire about their menu and any potential promotions, you can contact them at (979) 775-1732 or +1 979-775-1732.

Came in at 918. While we were waiting to order (she said she’d be with us in a minute) she walked up told us they are about to close lobby and we needed to order to go and then walked away. Asked the guy “so we can’t eat in here?” And his reply was “you can but you have to eat fast we close lobby in 9 minutes”. When asked if they’d kick us out at 930 he said yes. I am a manager at a restaurant, even if someone came in one minute prior to closing, we allow them to sit and eat. Kicking someone out and talking to them the way these employees did is beyond unprofessional. We would have been fast, and clean. But the way we were spoken to is not okay.

Seldom and I mean seldom will I call food trash. There is too much hunger in the world for that mindset. That being said, Panda, this is hot trash... Did you purposely choose the fattiest, sickest chicken thighs to sell. Don't even get me started on the portions, I know inflation has hit us all, but this is ridiculous. My review may not mean much, but continue on your trend, and you'll be just another Panera who's on life support.

I just went to Panda like I do weekly. One of the entrees I had was sweetfire chicken. I had 3 to 4 pieces of chicken and 60% is filled with pineapples. I don’t think I ordered sweetfire pineapples. Servers at this location are pretty bad with attitude as well. I have to find another location I guess as this location’s quality and service are going downhill quickly.

Food poisoning… Me and my fiancé ate fried rice & chow mein. Both got sick. Missed 2 days of work and $$ spent at the doctor. Won’t ever eat here again.

This panda is much better than the one on Texas, I so want to give them 5 stars, but the lobby is dirty and enough minor infractions that pull it down to 4. The sort of fountain leaked pretty heavily with trying to get a drink, condiments were not readily available… you had to ask them at the counter. I think it is morally Questionable to use Styrofoam containers when people are eating in the lobby, especially in these modern time as we address climate change. That all being said, the staff was very pleasant and friendly, and the manager genuinely cares about the quality of his food.
