About Panda Express

Located at 18111 Nordhoff St in Northridge, California, Panda Express is a well-known fast-food chain within the Chinese restaurant category, offering a variety of American Chinese dishes. Serving the Northridge area and the wider San Fernando Valley, Panda Express provides a convenient option for those seeking a quick and familiar meal.

The typical environment of a Panda Express restaurant, including this Northridge location, is designed for efficient service. Customers can expect a counter area with the various food options displayed, allowing for quick selection and assembly of their meals. The ambiance is generally casual and functional, catering to individuals and families looking for a fast-food dining experience. Seating is usually available for those who wish to eat on-site.

Panda Express is characterized by its standardized menu featuring popular American Chinese dishes such as the Original Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Chow Mein, and fried rice. The service model emphasizes speed and convenience, with customers selecting their desired entrees and sides to create a customized meal. This format is designed to cater to those seeking a quick and accessible dining option.

However, recent customer reviews for the Panda Express on Nordhoff St in Northridge highlight some concerns regarding order accuracy and the portion sizes of premium items. One customer reported that while their orders are usually accurate, during a rush period, their teriyaki chicken was completely omitted from their order. This oversight was only discovered after the customer had left the restaurant and arrived at the library to eat. The customer expressed hope for a refund or compensation due to this error, indicating a negative impact on their dining experience.

Another customer raised concerns about the quantity of a premium item, specifically shrimp, received despite paying extra for it. They felt that the amount of shrimp provided was inappropriately small for the additional cost. When they brought this to the attention of the staff, no action was taken to rectify the situation. This experience left the customer unwilling to return to a place that charges extra for what they perceived as a meager portion of a premium ingredient, especially given current economic conditions.

These recent reviews suggest potential issues with order fulfillment accuracy, particularly during busy periods, and dissatisfaction with the value received for premium items at this specific Panda Express location. While Panda Express is generally known for its consistency across locations, these comments indicate that the experience at the Northridge Nordhoff St branch may have shortcomings in these areas.

Usually they do good at getting my order right, however during the rush they completely forgot to add my teriyaki chicken to my order, I hope I can get a refund or compensation for this but I already walked to the library to eat and only found out then.

I don't think it's appropriate to have this much shrimp given to me when I'm paying extra for it, as a premium item. I even said something about it being a very small amount and nothing was done. Times are tough so I'm not interested in going to a place that charges extra for this.

if you ever had to cancel part of your order here they will still charge you for it and refuse to fix it if found. The manager is a scammer and trys to "fix" it with a gift card of the amount, and trys evey possible way to NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY BACK!!!! plus the free entree item they advertise is a scam they won't accept the coupon you get straight from panda express themselves!!!

They do a really REALLY good job… at forgetting things I ask for. I asked for soy sauce. A simple request. Not even one that’s too impactful but dang does it make me sad. Not only that but my fortune cookie? NO FORTUNE WTH MAN. I already gotta deal with classes why do I also have to deal with bottom level customer service.
