About Panda Express

Panda Express is a well-known chain of Chinese-American fast-food restaurants, and the location at 15204 Montfort Dr, Dallas, TX 75248, USA, can be contacted at (972) 386-9609 or +1 972-386-9609. As a chain, Panda Express generally offers a consistent menu across its locations.

Environment: This particular location has been described as "clean and tidy" and features an "outside eating area with retractable umbrellas," suggesting a pleasant option for outdoor dining. However, a recent review indicates significant changes to the dine-in experience.

Services: Panda Express primarily operates as a quick-service restaurant offering both dine-in and takeout options. One customer noted being served quickly even when the restaurant was busy. The staff has been described as "welcoming" and providing "great service," with one employee specifically mentioned for their friendly demeanor. However, recent changes have impacted the available services for dine-in customers.

Features: Given that all Panda Express locations typically sell the same menu items, the distinguishing features of this particular store, based on recent reviews, include:

  • Quick Service: Customers can expect to be served relatively quickly, even during busy periods.
  • Friendly Staff: At least some staff members are noted for being welcoming and providing good service.
  • Outdoor Seating: An outside eating area with retractable umbrellas is available.
  • Recent Reduction in Dine-In Amenities: A recent significant change reported by a customer is the refusal to offer plastic cutlery knives or spoons, which impacts families with young children or those needing assistance with cutting their food.
  • Discontinuation of Chopsticks: This location no longer provides chopsticks.
  • Changes to Sauce Availability: Sweet and sour sauce is no longer automatically provided with items like rangoon or spring rolls. Other sauces, including soy sauce, are only available upon request from behind the counter, with a limit of four packs per family per request.

Promotional Information: As a large chain, Panda Express often has national promotions, but specific promotions for this Dallas location are not mentioned in the provided reviews. Customers are advised to check in-store or the official Panda Express website for any current offers. However, the recent negative review suggests a shift towards a "cheap and tacky unauthentic roadside take-out" theme, potentially impacting the overall dine-in experience despite any broader promotional efforts.

In conclusion, the Panda Express at 15204 Montfort Dr in Dallas, TX, has historically offered quick service and a clean environment with outdoor seating. However, recent changes in their policy regarding cutlery and sauce availability have negatively impacted the dine-in experience for at least one family. Local users considering dining in should be aware of these reported changes, while those opting for takeout may still experience the quick service previously noted.

I was in and out quickly even with a lot of people there. Furthermore, one of the young men that served my lunch was very welcoming. He smiled and asked how my day was going. A very simple thing but it's the small things that always count. This location was clean and tidy. There is an outside eating area with retractable umbrellas. It's a good location and the service was great. Since all Pandas sell the same thing, I usually look at the service and the physical location as a base of my review.

This particular store has changed significantly and I’m no longer able to dine in due to the corners they have decided to cut. We dined in over the weekend and usually the kids love coming here. Unfortunately, the store manager has now refused to offer plastic cutlery knives or spoons - so kids that need their meals cut up into bites or are still learning with spoon fed eating can no longer dine in. As a result, we aren’t going to be able to enjoy their service further as a family. They have also stopped offering CHOP STIX. They also no longer provide a cup of sweet and sour sauce with ragoons or spring rolls. Soy sauce, and any other sauce, is only available if you ask for it to be retrieved from behind the counter, and in no more than 4 packs per family, per each back-of-the-line wait while asking. Cheap and tacky unauthentic roadside take-out is the new theme here.

Karyn did an OUTSTANDING JOB at resolving an issue I had with a serving size. She saw and had enough brains to see that it was not fair for what I paid. A+ job at Great Customer Sevice!!!!!!!

Started off already inconvenienced by having a sign on the door that said cash only. So I had to go to bank to get cash. This is one of the few stores that has the beyond orange chicken and I don’t eat meat so I had to come back to this one. THEN, I tried to order the beyond orange chicken with no sauce. I was told yes by one of the employees then the manager walks in and doesn’t even come to talk to me he tells one of his employees to tell me they can’t do it. My issue is that how come I can be inconvenienced twice and yet the manager doesn’t even have to decency to talk to me themselves. I am not even pulling the “the customer is always right” bs but the manager SHOULD always be the one to address miscommunications instead of just telling someone else who I know doesnt get paid enough for handling customer issues.

I placed an order for a bowl of chicken and rice, but regrettably, the rice was undercooked, nearly raw, which left me dissatisfied with this significant oversight. I reported the problem to Uber Eats on March 24, but it seems they have not shown concern regarding the issue.
