About Panda Express

Welcome to Panda Express, a well-known establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, located at 720 McMillan Rd, Clemson, SC 29634, USA. As a popular fast-casual chain, Panda Express offers a convenient option for those seeking quick and familiar Chinese-American cuisine. The Clemson location has recently undergone remodeling, resulting in an improved customer experience according to one review.

As a Chinese Restaurant operating on a fast-food model, Panda Express provides a streamlined service. A significant recent update at the Clemson location is the introduction of kiosk ordering. According to a customer, this new system "saves lot of time" and offers convenient payment options, including the ability to use "paw point/credit card" without requiring a Grubhub account. This technological upgrade aims to enhance efficiency and customer convenience. The remodeling has also led to a new seating arrangement that is reported to be "easier to walk" through, suggesting an improved layout for navigating the dining area.

The environment of the remodeled Panda Express in Clemson is described as "nice and clean" by one reviewer. However, they also note that the "sitting is all open food court style and very compact," which can lead to a noisy atmosphere during busy times, particularly with the presence of staff and students. This suggests a functional but potentially crowded and loud dining area, typical of fast-food establishments located near educational institutions. While clean and modern, the ambiance might not be ideal for those seeking a quiet or intimate dining experience.

In terms of services, Panda Express primarily operates on a counter-service model, now supplemented by kiosk ordering for quicker transactions. The focus is on fast and efficient service to cater to a high volume of customers, especially given its proximity to a university. One reviewer mentioned that the "service is only okay," which they attribute to the staff being "super busy with feeding the staff and students." This implies that while the service might not be highly personalized, it is likely adequate for the fast-paced nature of the restaurant. Takeout service is also undoubtedly a significant part of their operations, allowing customers to enjoy their meals off-site.

Several features of Panda Express in Clemson are highlighted in the customer reviews. A standout feature is the new kiosk ordering system, which improves efficiency and offers multiple payment methods. The remodeled space with an easier-to-navigate seating arrangement is another positive aspect. Regarding the food, one reviewer specifically praised a limited-time item, the "chilli crisp shrimp," describing it as "the best item from panda" and noting its savory and mildly spicy flavor profile, a departure from the sweetness often found in other Panda Express dishes. This suggests that the menu may include innovative or seasonal offerings that are worth trying.

However, another customer expressed that this particular Panda Express location is "not my favorite Panda Express I’ve been to," indicating potential inconsistencies between different branches of the chain. Furthermore, a reviewer who enjoys the broccoli and beef dish reported a recurring issue with it being "old and soggy" almost every time they order it at this location. This suggests a potential problem with the preparation or holding of this specific menu item. On a more positive note, this reviewer also mentioned that "the rest of the food is generally pretty hot and good," indicating that other dishes may meet the expected standards.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided reviews. As a large chain, Panda Express often has national or regional promotions, which may or may not be explicitly mentioned by individual reviewers. Local users interested in any current deals, discounts, or limited-time offers at the Clemson location should check the official Panda Express website or app, or inquire at the restaurant directly by calling (864) 656-3663 or +1 864-656-3663.

In conclusion, Panda Express in Clemson, SC, offers a modern and convenient fast-food experience with the benefits of kiosk ordering and a recently remodeled space. While one customer raved about the limited-time chilli crisp shrimp, others have noted potential inconsistencies in food quality, particularly with the broccoli and beef dish. The atmosphere is described as clean but busy and open, typical of a food court setting. For local users seeking a quick and familiar Chinese-American meal with efficient service, Panda Express in Clemson provides a viable option, but it’s advisable to be aware of the mixed feedback regarding certain menu items and the potentially crowded environment during peak hours.

First time here after the remodeling, it’s much better than before. Ordering at kiosk saves lot of time, you don’t need grubhub account, can use paw point/credit card). With the new seating arrangement its easier to walk. Food pretty much is the same, I tried the limited time item chilli crisp shrimp and I think its the best item from panda. Certainly the most savory item and not sweet like other stuff, mild hot so easy on palette.

This Panda is not my favorite Panda Express I’ve been to. I personally enjoy broccoli and beef. I’m not sure if others just don’t order it at this location but almost every time I eat here the b&b is old and soggy. The rest of the food is generally pretty hot and good. The service is only okay which I understand. They’re super busy with feeding the staff and students. The atmosphere is good but bad? Nice and clean but the sitting is all open food court style and very compact. Tends to get loud in busy times. Overall, good experience

Had the sweetfire chicken with fried rice in a bowl. Delicious combo! It's good stop for a more filling, albeit still fast-food meal.

To me the food taste ok and the portion size is not it. When it's not rush hour the give you normal portion size but during busy hours get smaller portion sizes. I recently ordered a bigger plate a side and three entrees. I looked at it and one of the entrees was missing because It would've come in a separate container, so I told them l'm missing one but was told they doubled it onto my plate but to me it wasn't double it was a regular portion size. I feel like I just wasted money and the Panda Express in Easley tastes better and gives bigger portion sizes.
