About Panda Express

Panda Express, situated at 94-799 Lumiaina St in Waipahu, Hawaii, is part of a well-known chain of Chinese restaurants that specializes in American Chinese cuisine. Operating under the platform category of "Chinese Restaurant," Panda Express typically offers a variety of familiar dishes served in a fast-food setting. This location in Waipahu provides both dine-in and takeout services, catering to individuals and families looking for quick and convenient meal options.

Based on recent customer feedback available online, experiences at this particular Panda Express location appear to be mixed. One customer who visited on Resurrection Day reported a longer-than-expected service time. They noted that while waiting, other customers who arrived later were served, leading to confusion about the delay in their own order. This customer also mentioned that a side of greens was not ready at the time of ordering, further contributing to the wait. Upon receiving their takeout order, they found that the eggplant dish was heavily saturated in sauce and lacked tofu, which was unexpected. Additionally, another ordered plate consisting of orange chicken, fried rice, and chow fun was disappointing, with the rice being described as "very flakey dry." The customer also expressed frustration at not being able to leave a review through the app.

Another customer shared a particularly negative experience regarding parking and food quality. They reported a complete lack of available parking, necessitating their wife to go inside to place the order while they circled the lot. The food they received was described as "very old." Specifically, the orange chicken, which is typically expected to be soft and hot when fresh, was found to be "crunchy" and tasting as if it had been left out overnight. Similarly, the rice had a hard texture and tasted stale, leading the customer to believe it had been sitting under a heat lamp for an extended period. This customer expressed significant dissatisfaction with the quality of the food served, especially considering their order was placed with nearly an hour left before the stated closing time of 9:00 PM. Their order included spring rolls, cream cheese rangoons, and two plates, further indicating a substantial meal that was expected to be fresh.

These recent reviews highlight potential concerns regarding service speed, food freshness, and consistency at this Waipahu location of Panda Express. While Panda Express is generally known for its quick service and readily available menu items, these accounts suggest that on certain occasions, customers may experience delays or receive food that does not meet expected standards of freshness and quality.

It is important to consider that these reviews represent individual experiences and may not be indicative of every visit to this Panda Express location. However, they do provide valuable insights for potential customers regarding some of the challenges that have been reported. For local users considering this restaurant for a quick meal, it might be prudent to be mindful of potential wait times, especially during busy periods, and to perhaps check the freshness of the food before leaving, particularly for takeout orders.

As a well-established fast-food chain, Panda Express typically offers a menu featuring popular American Chinese dishes such as orange chicken, broccoli beef, Kung Pao chicken, and various fried rice and noodle options. They often have combination plates that allow customers to choose a base (like rice or noodles) and a selection of entrees. Spring rolls and cream cheese rangoons are common side items. However, based on the provided reviews, the quality and preparation of these items can vary.

Information regarding the environment of this specific Panda Express location in Waipahu is not detailed in the provided reviews. Typically, Panda Express restaurants offer a casual, fast-food dining atmosphere with a service counter where customers place their orders and a seating area for those who choose to eat on-site. Given the parking issues mentioned in one review, it might be inferred that the location can get busy, potentially impacting both parking availability and the speed of service.

Promotional information for this specific location is also absent in the provided text. Panda Express as a chain frequently offers various promotions, limited-time offers, and seasonal menu items. To learn about any current promotions at the Waipahu location, it would be best to check their in-store signage, visit the official Panda Express website, or contact them directly via phone at (808) 676-8899 or +1 808-676-8899.

In conclusion, the Panda Express at 94-799 Lumiaina St in Waipahu, Hawaii, serves American Chinese fast food with options for dine-in and takeout. Recent customer reviews suggest potential issues with service speed, food freshness, and parking availability. While Panda Express is a widely recognized brand, these local experiences indicate a need for potential customers to be aware of these reported issues. For the most accurate and up-to-date information on their menu, hours of operation, and any ongoing promotions, contacting the restaurant directly is recommended.

Went to Panda Express on Resurrection Day. Bummers, service took long. Greens were not ready. Still waiting … while they helped two ladies in front of me, unsure what the wait was for? By the time I started ordering people started coming in and the line grew after that. The eggplant was dowsed in sauce, no tofu= why ? (This was a takeout, didn’t pay attention to the “no tofu”) The other plate ordered was orange chicken and fried rice and chow fun, the rice was very flakey dry. Tried to review in app, but couldn’t find a place to do so. First time in a very long time to Waikele Panda Express. Shucks, not a great experience for fast food dining. See pictures.

There was absolutely no parking at all I had to have my wife go inside to order while I circled the lot. The food I got was very old. Fresh orange chicken is soft and hot mine is crunchy and taste like it was left on the counter over night. The rice has a hard texture to it and taste old. It’s almost like it’s been sitting under the heat lamp for hours before serving to me. Very very upset with this location. Between my wife and I, we ordered 2 spring rolls, 1 order of cream cheese rangoons, and 2 plates. Order was placed @8:02pm so there was more than enough time to serve fresh food before closing @9:00pm.

Doesn't disappoint, they don't miss with the orange chicken. Open nice and late too!

Disappointed. We usually enjoy Panda Express. This is what our plates looked like. We were missing an entree in one plate, and in the other plate we were ‘shorted’ part of the side and only had a smaller than usual serving of the soup.

This is the first time I’ve came to the Panda Express in Waikele. I stopped in to eat launch before heading back to work. No one greeted me and the customer behind me when we entered. I ordered a 2 choice plate with half half starch, chicken and green beans and chicken mushroom. I asked the employee not to give me a ton on green beans for the chicken and green bean dish as they always give you a ton of green beans and very little chicken. But she still gave me a ton of green beans. I don’t normally order a drink when I come to Pandas but I did this time just to find out the drink I wanted was not working. I asked the cashier if they could refill it. She tells to the back to someone can you fix the tea, I don’t know how. No one ever came to fix it so I asked he again and she said they’re working on fixing it. No one was working on fixing it. So I ended up getting another drink instead. The entire time I’m dining in the manager is yelling orders to her staff from across the restaurant. Other than the fried rice, all the food I ordered tasted old. It looked like it was siting out for a long time. Altogether, I wouldn’t come to this restaurant again. I don’t ever write reviews on companies but I felt this restaurant needed one.
