Panda Express

It's not at all healthy for you, but when I'm at a mall or airport, I crave Panda Express. This one is in the mall's food court and serves all of their dishes, including the popular orange chicken. Get it with white rice. It's so good!

The food is fine. However, I just ordered the "5 person family dinner". It was definitely NOT sufficient for 5 people, of any size, much less a family of 2 adults and 3 children. There were 5 containers that appear to be the same regular size as any other Chinese food place would be. Three were supposed to be entrees and two were sides. Entree makes it sound like it's at least double the size of a side. It was not.

So there’s nobody in here but me and the servers. Only a couple of reasons to justify this. Great restaurants attract endless diners. I was disappointed but not surprised. Where do I begin? Big lighted menu that says one thing and then the real truth and price in tiny letters hidden far below. Three items for $10.60 ended up to $5 more. Next: my plate was loaded with onions in lieu of shrimp and beef. Next: rice was below average with tiny hard grains and zero flavor. Next: No utensils just one wobbly plastic fork included in the purchase. They just moved in this location replacing a “so-so” restaurant. Panda will follow suit soon enough. Columbia has far too many mediocre dining facilities for this one to stay in business. Never again!

Service was top notch. The folks distributing the food have the fervor that makes me want to come back just to support them. The food was as delicious as it could possibly get from a panda express. Great stuff!

Only needed a soda. $2.55. Fine.Gave him a $5. I donated the sole quarter I got back. As I counted my change a minute later.... CHANGE ON RECEIPT = $2.45 Change Received= $2.25. I'm noticing a lot of places do this lately because they know people don't count. I knew it was a chance but I am still a trusting person so I didn't count in front of him. Definitely counted the bills I got back, however.
