Recent customer reviews present contrasting experiences at this location. One customer who visited late in the evening was pleased to find the restaurant open when many others were closed. They reported a positive experience, highlighting the nice and helpful staff and enjoying the great food, making it a recommended spot for a hot meal. This customer expressed a desire to repeat the experience.
However, another customer had a disappointing experience with their order. They reported receiving the wrong items, specifically mentioning an incorrect order of orange chicken and teriyaki. This customer also noted that their order was mishandled twice, with a meal being served to a homeless individual first. While hoping this was an isolated incident, they described it as a negative experience.
For those in the L'Enfant Plaza area considering Panda Express, these recent reviews offer mixed feedback regarding service and order accuracy. While some customers have found the staff and food to be excellent, others have experienced issues with their orders. We were back in our hotel in DC and checked if there was a restaurant open around. Surprisingly most restaurant were closed or about to close. We found that Panda Express was still open for another hour (most restaurant close at 6pm in DC, crazy!) So we headed there and found nice staff, great food and just the kind of place you want to eat something hot before heading to bed. Definitely recommended. The staff are so nice and so helpful. A really nice experience to repeat.
⸻ I usually enjoy Panda Express, but this time was disappointing. My order was completely wrong — I asked for orange chicken and teriyaki insert but received messed it up twice serving the homeless guy first. Hoping this was just a one-off mistake, but definitely not a great experience.
Getting to this place is an absolute nightmare. Tourists on foot beware, if you're not staying in/familiar with the area. It was so confusing and scary to navigate. We ended up in all kinds of weird underpasses and dead-end stairways and once we found our way into the mall (took 20 minutes), everything was closed and the lights were dim, which was terrifying, to say the least. But the food court was open! ...for some reason? This Panda Express actually delivered big time. Generous portions, food was good, and the food was so fresh I could sit and watch the steam rise from it. If you want a soda, get a bottle, because the fountain was completely flat. This mall is super weird, but this Panda Express is good!
The food is good EARLY, as soon as they open. If you order on doordash, the girl will not give you any sauces, no matter how many times you've spoken with Management. This location is absolutely horrible and nasty behind the counter. Today is my last day eating at this location, never clean, food quality varies which is not okay, and NO ONE will give you any sauce. You don't get paid more to hold sauces, GIVE US OUR SAUCE PACKETS WEIRDOS
Good place to get some reasonably priced asian food within minutes of walking in. Order your food at the counter and take it with. There is plenty of seating at the plaza and it’s a great place to people watch and just take it all in. The food here is fast, but the quality is good and the cost is reasonable - about 10$ for a 2 entree plate, which is a fairly hefty meal. We went with the orange chicken and the chicken with mushrooms - no complaints on either, and they were both as good or better than what i have eaten down the street and i paid 3x this price.
