About Panda Express

Panda Express, situated at 693 Kinkaid Rd, Annapolis, MD 21402, within the Navy Commissary, offers a convenient option for those seeking a quick and familiar taste of American Chinese fast food. As a well-known brand in the Chinese Restaurant category, Panda Express typically provides a self-service format where customers can choose from a selection of pre-prepared dishes. However, based on recent customer feedback specific to this Annapolis location, there appear to be some notable points regarding service, food availability, and portion sizes that potential customers should be aware of.

One customer review highlights a significant concern regarding the restaurant's operating hours and food preparation practices. This review mentions that while the stated closing time is 3 PM, the location reportedly stops cooking fresh food an hour or so prior to closing. Furthermore, the reviewer describes the staff's attitude regarding this practice as "rude." This information is crucial for potential customers planning to visit closer to the closing time, as they may encounter a limited selection of dishes that are not freshly prepared. Such practices can impact the overall dining experience and the perceived quality of the food.

Adding to the concerns, the same review also notes that the selection of dishes available at this particular Panda Express location is limited compared to other branches. Additionally, the portion sizes are described as being smaller than what is typically offered at other Panda Express restaurants. These observations suggest that the customer experience at this Navy Commissary location might deviate from the standard associated with the Panda Express brand. The reviewer goes as far as to recommend a change in management or corporate reprimand due to what they perceive as "piss poor service." This strong criticism underscores the potential for dissatisfaction among customers visiting this specific outlet.

In contrast to this negative feedback, another customer offers a more positive perspective, particularly for lunchtime visits. This reviewer highlights the fast service and good selection of food available during lunch hours. They also mention that the food is served hot and that the portion sizes are generous, which directly contradicts the previous reviewer's experience with smaller portions. This positive feedback focuses on the efficiency and food quality experienced during a specific time of day, suggesting that the experience might vary depending on when the restaurant is visited.

The Teriyaki chicken is specifically mentioned as a dish that this customer usually orders and enjoys. This provides a specific menu item that at least one customer has found to be satisfactory at this location. However, without further details on other menu items, it is difficult to ascertain the overall quality and consistency across the entire selection.

Based on the limited information available, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of the environment of this Panda Express location. As it is situated within the Navy Commissary, it is likely to have a fast-food style setup with a counter for ordering and self-service for food selection. The ambiance would likely be functional and geared towards quick service rather than a leisurely dining experience. No specific details about seating arrangements or the overall cleanliness of the dining area are provided in the reviews.

Regarding services, Panda Express typically offers both dine-in and carry-out options. The positive review mentioning fast service suggests efficiency in processing orders, especially during lunchtime. However, the negative review points to potential issues with service attitude, particularly concerning food availability close to closing time. Online ordering and delivery services are not specifically mentioned in the provided reviews for this location, so it is unclear whether these options are available.

In terms of features, Panda Express is generally known for its quick service, consistent American Chinese flavors, and a menu that includes popular items like Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, and various chow mein and fried rice dishes. However, the review noting a "limited selection" at this Annapolis location indicates that the full standard Panda Express menu might not be available. The positive reviewer's mention of "good selection at lunch time" suggests that the variety of dishes offered might fluctuate throughout the day.

No promotional information, such as discounts, special offers, or limited-time menu items specific to this Annapolis location, is mentioned in the provided reviews. Customers interested in such information would likely need to check directly with the restaurant or through the official Panda Express website or app.

In conclusion, the Panda Express located within the Navy Commissary in Annapolis, MD, presents a mixed picture based on the limited customer feedback available. While one reviewer experienced fast service, good selection at lunchtime, hot food, and generous portions (specifically mentioning the Teriyaki chicken), another reported issues with limited selection, smaller portion sizes, rude service regarding food availability close to closing time, and potentially inconsistent food preparation practices. Potential customers should be aware of these contrasting experiences when considering this dining option. Visiting during peak lunch hours might yield a more positive experience in terms of selection and portion size, but those planning to go closer to the stated closing time should be prepared for potentially limited options and less freshly prepared food. Further reviews and personal experiences would be beneficial in forming a more comprehensive understanding of the current state of this particular Panda Express location.

As others have mentioned already, they close at 3 but stop cooking fresh food an hour or so before and they are rude about it. Limited selection and portion sizes are smaller than other locations. They need to change management or be reprimanded for getting away with such piss poor service.

This place is at the Navy Commissary. They have fast service, good selection at lunch time, and the food is hot and you get a big portion. I usually get the Teriyaki chicken.

Nex website says it closes at 4pm but in reality is closed by 3pm. I got there at 330pm and was empty! Website should be updated.

Convenient location for this Panda Express. Decent fast food (kids love it). A couple of draw backs for customers though. 1. It closes early at 3pm. I'm assuming due to COVID and peak hrs they're not staffed throughout the day. 2. They have a very limited selection of food. You're not going to find the newer selections, mostly the favorites (orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, etc).

I visited this location on 1/13/2021 @ 12:15 PM. Service was mediocre and so was the food. I didn’t even get what I came for. When I told the lady I wanted the honey sesame chicken, she said they were out of it (the section where it was supposed was spotless. No sign of it even being there.) Would rather have had her tell me they were too lazy to make more despite being 3 hours from closing time. I decided to get the beef and broccoli with chow mein. Got 3 pieces of beef with lots of broccoli. Chow mein was 80% veggies and 20% noodles. Really shows how much these people care about what they’re serving. Please hire new people. These people give Panda Express and this location’s management a bad name.
