About Panda Express
Welcome to Panda Express, a well-known Chinese restaurant chain offering a fast-food approach to American Chinese cuisine. Located at 91-1061 Keaunui Dr BUILDING N - SPACE 5 in Ewa Beach, HI 96706, USA, Panda Express provides a convenient option for those seeking familiar and quick Chinese-inspired meals. You can reach them at (808) 685-8877 or their mobile number, +1 808-685-8877, for inquiries or to place an order for takeout.
As a Chinese restaurant in the fast-food category, Panda Express typically features a steam table setup where customers can choose from a variety of pre-prepared dishes. Their menu commonly includes popular items such as Orange Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, Chow Mein, and fried rice. These dishes are designed for quick service and are often chosen as combinations to create a personalized meal.
While Panda Express is a large chain known for its consistent menu and quick service model, recent customer reviews for this specific Ewa Beach location indicate some areas of concern that potential customers should be aware of. One review details a distressing experience where a customer found hair in their food. The reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with the restaurant's response, noting a perceived lack of concern regarding the incident and the customer's resulting illness. While a refund was mentioned, the customer was disappointed that the manager did not personally address the issue and felt the customer service was "horrible" with no genuine apology.
Another review paints a picture of a significantly subpar experience occurring 30 minutes before the stated closing time. According to this customer, the restaurant had "almost nothing" available and was informing patrons that no more food would be prepared. This lack of food availability so close to closing time is a significant inconvenience for customers expecting a full menu to choose from. Furthermore, this reviewer mentioned a policy of not offering samples at this location, contrasting it with their positive experiences at another Panda Express location where samples were provided, even during COVID-19 restrictions. The reviewer also noted a seemingly understocked service area with no forks, spoons, or napkins readily available, despite the presence of seven employees. This negative experience led the customer to state they would not return to this particular Panda Express location.
The same reviewer further elaborated on the situation 30 minutes before closing, emphasizing that the lack of food was not simply due to the impending closing time but rather a result of the staff refusing to cook more. The reviewer observed that cleaning appeared to have commenced as early as 8:00 PM, suggesting that the decision to stop cooking for guests was made even earlier than 30 minutes before the official closing time. This practice of turning away customers due to a refusal to cook well before closing is a serious concern regarding customer service and operational efficiency.
Considering these recent reviews, it is important for local users to approach this Panda Express location with an awareness of these potential issues. While Panda Express as a brand aims to provide a consistent and convenient dining experience, these specific accounts from the Ewa Beach branch highlight potential problems with food quality, customer service, and food availability, particularly close to closing time.
It is worth noting that these reviews represent individual experiences and may not be indicative of every visit to this location. However, they provide valuable insights into potential challenges that customers might encounter. For those seeking a quick and familiar American Chinese meal in Ewa Beach, Panda Express remains an option, but it may be prudent to consider these recent experiences when making a decision, especially if visiting closer to the advertised closing time.
As a fast-food Chinese restaurant, Panda Express typically offers the convenience of both dine-in and takeout services. The environment is generally casual and geared towards quick meals. While specific details about the ambiance of this particular Ewa Beach location are not provided in the reviews, it is likely to align with the standard Panda Express layout, focusing on efficiency and functionality rather than elaborate decor.
In summary, Panda Express at 91-1061 Keaunui Dr in Ewa Beach offers a familiar range of American Chinese fast food dishes. While the brand is generally known for its convenience and popular menu items, recent customer reviews for this specific location raise concerns regarding food quality, customer service, and food availability, especially near closing time. Potential customers should be mindful of these recent experiences when considering dining at this Panda Express location.

Hair in food, called them. Explained found a hair in one of the dishes. Didn’t seem very concerned that it had made me sick while eating my dish, said they’d refund. Took the plate back, Manager didn’t even come out. Horrible customer service. No real apology and you’d think they’d have refunded mine as I sicked mine all up.
Probably one of the worst Pand Express experiences I’ve ever had. 30 minutes before closing and they have almost nothing and are informing customers that they will NOT be making more food. They also do not let you try any samples so don’t ask, cause apparently they don’t do that here. Not sure if that changed but during Covid I was able to “try a sample” at Kapolei every time I went there (which is a lot). There are 7 employees. Nothing be made, nothing stocked, no forks, spoons or napkins. I will not be coming back to this location again. And no “they are about to close” does not come into play 30 minutes prior when they are legitimately turning away customers as a result of them refusing to cook. Looked like they started cleaning at 8pm so the call was made earlier to stop cooking for guests.
What a disappointment, very busy, not friendly. 😔😞😟 Food dont look healthy any longer. 🙁😖😣 I was not able to get my old regular Stirw Fried Vegetables. 😩😫😰 What i got was not to my taste, greasy, spicy, not fresh. 🤢🤮😠 I will not go back this place. 🙅♀️🚫😡
Called ahead to order food, for my wife to pick up. When she gets there, they act like they have no idea what she's talking about. So then she has to wait in the long dinner line. Then once she got home almost all the food was under cooked. Never going to this Panda again.
DO NOT EAT HERE!! Got a plate on 10/28 and found this hair on top of the rice.
