About Panda Express
Panda Express, a familiar name within the Chinese Restaurant category, has a location at 42550 Jackson St in Indio, CA, serving the local community with its range of fast-casual American Chinese cuisine. Recent feedback from customers provides a mixed perspective on the current experience at this particular Indio branch, highlighting both potential concerns and positive aspects that local users may find relevant.
One customer reported a severely negative experience after eating at this Panda Express location. They stated that while they typically have positive experiences with the chain, this instance resulted in a bout of food poisoning. The symptoms described included vomiting, fever, and chills, which they attributed to the food lingering in their stomach. The reviewer specifically mentioned seeing fried rice and chicken pieces in what they threw up, describing the experience as "horrible." This feedback raises significant concerns about the food quality and safety at this particular time, as food poisoning is a serious health issue that can deter potential customers.
In contrast, another reviewer had a more neutral experience with the food but praised the service. They noted that the food tasted "a little off" from their usual expectation of Panda Express's recipe, suggesting a potential inconsistency in food preparation or ingredient quality. However, they were positive about the service, describing it as "nice and quick." This reviewer also highlighted the staff's ability to accommodate their party of seven rather quickly, which they found particularly beneficial due to their tight schedule. This indicates that the service at this location can be efficient and capable of handling larger groups promptly.
Considering these two recent reviews, there is a stark contrast in the overall experiences. One customer reported a serious health issue potentially linked to the food, which is a significant red flag for any food establishment. This feedback underscores the importance of food safety and consistent preparation standards. The other reviewer noted a slight deviation in the usual taste of the food but commended the speed and attentiveness of the service, particularly in accommodating a larger group. This suggests that while there might be some variability in food quality, the service aspect can be a strength of this location.
As a standard Panda Express, the menu at this Indio location likely includes popular items such as orange chicken, various chow mein and rice dishes, and other American Chinese staples. The comment about the food tasting "a little off" doesn't specify which dish was affected, making it difficult to pinpoint a particular menu item of concern beyond the fried rice and chicken mentioned in the food poisoning report. However, it does suggest that regular patrons might notice inconsistencies in the familiar flavors of the chain.
The positive feedback regarding the quick and accommodating service is a notable aspect. For local users who prioritize speed and efficiency, especially when dining with a group or on a tight schedule, this Panda Express location might be a convenient option. The staff's ability to handle a party of seven quickly suggests good organizational skills and attentiveness to customer needs in terms of time.
For local residents in Indio, CA, considering this Panda Express, it is important to weigh the positive feedback on service speed and staff attentiveness against the serious concern raised about potential food poisoning. While the latter could be an isolated incident, it is a significant factor that might influence dining decisions. Those who have had consistently positive experiences with Panda Express in the past might still find this location satisfactory, especially if speed and convenience are priorities. However, the report of food tasting "a little off" suggests that the culinary consistency might not always meet expectations.
Given the limited information and the conflicting nature of the two recent reviews, it is difficult to draw a definitive conclusion about the overall quality and reliability of this Panda Express location. Potential customers might want to consider these recent experiences alongside any prior knowledge or experiences they have with this specific branch or the Panda Express chain in general. It might also be prudent to look for more recent reviews to get a broader understanding of the current customer sentiment towards this establishment.
In conclusion, the Panda Express on Jackson St in Indio, CA, presents a mixed bag of recent customer experiences. While the service is noted for being quick and accommodating, a serious concern has been raised regarding potential food poisoning, and another customer observed a slight deviation in the usual food taste. Local users should consider these points carefully when deciding whether to dine at this location.

Ok, now normally when I eat Panda Express everything is fine but this time around… I threw up so badly, I literally got a fever and chills last night from the food lingering in my stomach until I threw up at 2 AM. All I saw was fried rice and chicken pieces… it was horrible. I don’t know who did the food this time around but it definitely caused me to have food poisoning…🤒
The food tasted a little off from their usual recipe to me, but the service was nice and quick. The employees were able to attend to our party of 7 rather quickly, which was great since we were on a tight schedule.
So my boyfriend and I bought the family meal at panda and when I finally opened my third teriyaki chicken from them I found a cooked dead bug in my chicken!!! I have never in my life experienced this at any Panda Express ever until now!!!
Lunch, plenty of seating . Had The Bowl choice of entree, rice , fried rice with vegetables, vegetables, lo mein noodles and 1 side. Variety of side dishes, egg roles won tons . The plate comes with entree and 2 sides. Portions are big. Not as salty as I remember however the lo mein noodles greasy , though very good. I find this a better deal than a burger fast food place. Very busy at 2:00 ! First time I've had to wait in a line for the bathroom! 😂 Chicken & mushroom very good ! Everything looks so good until you see the calories posted! Got the chicken egg roll, because it was 40 calories less than the veggie one, (?) . Was disappointed in that . Was ground up chicken. Everything else is very good though little greasy . $8.99 for bowl with one entree and side . Not bad !
High Price Small plate service not good going social media talk about how to get more likes ECT ECT...
