When considering a quick and convenient Chinese meal, Panda Express is often a popular choice due to its widespread presence and familiar menu. However, experiences can vary between different locations. Recent customer feedback regarding the Panda Express at 3310 Iowa Street B in Lawrence presents a somewhat contrasting view. One customer reported a significantly negative experience, describing it as the "worst Panda Location" they had ever visited. Their primary complaints centered on two key areas: portion sizes and customer service.

According to this review, the portion sizes at this specific Lawrence location were notably smaller compared to other Panda Express restaurants. The customer expressed that most locations are typically generous or at least adequately fill the containers, but this was not the case at this store. Furthermore, the reviewer described the employee serving their food as initially rude. The situation reportedly worsened when a friend of the employee came in to pick up a DoorDash order. The employee allegedly interrupted serving the customer's food, leaving the scoop in their dish, to attend to her friend's order. Upon returning, when the customer inquired if they had received two portions, the employee responded rudely and then directed someone else to handle the checkout.

The reviewer also mentioned having photographic evidence of the small portion sizes, emphasizing their dissatisfaction by stating that they would have gotten more food for the same amount of money by simply eating cash. This negative experience, compounded by what they perceived as "undelightful disgusting attitude" from the staff, led the customer to rate this as the worst Panda Express location they had encountered.

In contrast, another customer shared a highly positive experience, specifically highlighting the excellent customer service provided by one gentleman. This reviewer also noted that the food was fresh, contributing to a wonderful dining experience. They were so impressed that they recommended giving the employee a raise, indicating a significant difference in service quality compared to the negative report.

Given these contrasting reviews, it is important for local users to consider that experiences at this Panda Express location may vary. While one customer encountered issues with portion sizes and service, another found the food fresh and the service excellent. This suggests a potential inconsistency in the overall customer experience at this particular branch.

Worst Panda Location- TINY Portions and Terrible Service The portions here are not what they are at other Panda locations. Most locations are generous or at least fill up the portions in the container. The girl getting my food was rude to start with but okay. When she was scooping my food her friend came in to pick up a DoorDash so she just plopped down my food with the scoop in it and said 'oh hey girl you have a DoorDash blah blah' and goes and gets it. Comes back and takes out the scoop to put it back. I asked her, "that's two portions?" She said "ya" and looked all rude and shut it and then yelled at somebody in the back to come check me out. There's a pic on this of my portions they are tiny af for Panda or anybody really. That topped with her undelightful disgusting attitude would have me rate this as the worst Panda location I have ever been to. I'd have gotten more to eat if I had just wadded up my money and ate it a bill at a time.

I should have known in the very first place how terrible it is. 2 day old fried rice as dry as Sahara Desert, poor rationing of main entree as there’s a starvation risk in North Korea. What’s more, the staff is mean and they pretend like they ignore you.

I went in for lunch and once I sat down to eat I noticed there was something in the kung pao chicken I could not chew. I emptied my mouth to find a 1/2 inch piece of steel wool. My mouth started tasting like chemicals and I stopped eating. I let the staff know it was in the Kung Pao and they just threw the steel wool away. No apology or acknowledgment. They didn’t even tell the cooks. They even kept serving the remainder of the Kung Pao to other customers. I tried eating the Kung Pao but noticed a chemical taste like industrial soap. I threw the rest of my entire meal away including the small side serving of Kung Pao I got as a reward. There was no manager onsite. Never going back The manager should be a little more assertive in getting the staff to be attentive to the front of house during busy times.

When there is hair in my food we have a problem. It can't even be eaten, luckily I have a strong stomach. But this sucks very badly for the 13$ that I paid for the two plate combo. Doesn't surprise me all the food was uncovered and looked as if it had been sitting there some time. No hair nets either would not surprised if customers have been swallowing hairs for sometime from this location. Tried to get a refund or a different plate when I called, and they hung up on me. Which blows cause my limited funds while in college are precious especially when it comes to my meals.
