About Panda Express

Panda Express, located at 6560 Hembree Ln PAD 6 BUILDING in Windsor, California, is part of a well-known chain of Chinese restaurants that falls under the platform category of Chinese Restaurant. This particular branch aims to provide local users with quick and convenient access to familiar American Chinese cuisine, offering both individual meals and catering services. However, recent customer feedback available online presents some serious concerns, particularly regarding large orders and the quality of customer service at this location.

One customer who ordered a substantial $300 meal for a school event shared a deeply negative experience. The order, scheduled for an 11:15 AM pickup, was not ready until after 11:30 AM, causing delays and disruptions to the event's serving time. The inaccuracies in the order were extensive. Despite including three orange chicken platters, various rice and chow mein sides, and four salad bowls, two of the main orange chicken dishes were missing entirely. Additionally, essential supplies requested for 70 people, such as napkins, utensils/chopsticks, and serving tongs/spoons for the platters, were largely absent. The order only included plates, a small box of soy sauce, and 28 fortune cookies, falling far short of the necessary provisions.

The customer's attempt to resolve the missing items by calling the restaurant resulted in a highly unsatisfactory interaction with the manager. The manager reportedly insisted that two containers of orange chicken were provided (despite three being ordered) and argued with the customer for ten minutes, suggesting the missing items might have "slipped under the seat" in their car. This gaslighting behavior, accusing the customer of being mistaken and repeatedly directing them to check their vehicle for missing catering platters, was described as "horrendous." It was only after contacting corporate that the restaurant reviewed security footage and confirmed their error, agreeing to refund the cost of the missing chicken.

This severely negative experience led the customer to vow never to use this location again for school events and to strongly advise others against it, citing "poor service," "mediocre food," and "horrendous customer service." The incident highlights significant issues with order accuracy, particularly for large catering orders, preparedness for scheduled pickup times, and the professionalism of the management in addressing mistakes.

In contrast to this detailed negative account, another customer offered a brief comment noting that "You can find a few good healthful items here if pressed. I went with the greens and 'potstickers' you get 3 per serving." This suggests that while the menu primarily features standard American-Chinese fare, there might be some lighter options available. However, this review does not provide insights into the service quality or the handling of larger or more complex orders.

Based on the limited reviews, the environment of this Panda Express location is not specifically described. As part of a national chain, it likely features a standard fast-casual layout with a serving counter, a dining area, and potentially a designated pickup area for online or phone orders. The focus is typically on efficiency and convenience.

The services offered include both dine-in and takeout. The detailed negative review, however, strongly indicates potential issues with the reliability and accuracy of their takeout and catering services, particularly for large orders. The delay in preparing the order and the significant number of missing items and supplies raise concerns about their ability to handle substantial requests effectively. The customer service response to the error was also deeply problematic, suggesting a lack of accountability and professionalism at the management level.

Features of Panda Express as a brand generally include a standardized menu of popular American Chinese dishes. The brief positive review mentions "greens" and "potstickers" as potentially "healthful items," and the negative review references "orange chicken platters," "rice and chow mein sides," and "salad bowls," indicating a typical Panda Express menu. However, the inconsistency in order fulfillment and the reported "mediocre" food quality in the negative review are significant drawbacks.

Currently, there is no promotional information available specifically for the Panda Express at 6560 Hembree Ln PAD 6 BUILDING in Windsor based on the provided data. Panda Express as a chain often conducts national or regional promotions, which local users might want to inquire about directly at this specific location or through the official Panda Express website or app. However, given the serious concerns raised in the detailed negative review, potential customers might prioritize these issues over any potential promotions.

For local users in Windsor considering this Panda Express, it is crucial to carefully consider the recent customer experiences. The severely negative account of a large catering order gone wrong, coupled with unprofessional management response, should give potential customers significant pause, especially if planning to place a large or complex order. While individual experiences for smaller, standard orders might be less problematic, the potential for errors and poor customer service appears to be a significant risk at this location. The brief positive mention of a few "healthful items" is overshadowed by the substantial issues reported by another customer.

It would be prudent for local users to seek additional, more recent reviews from other online platforms to determine if the issues highlighted in the detailed negative review are isolated incidents or indicative of a broader pattern at this specific location. Contacting the store directly at (707) 837-0139 or +1 707-837-0139 to inquire about their policies and procedures for large orders and customer service might also be beneficial, although the reported experience suggests potential limitations in this area. Based on the available feedback, potential customers should approach this Panda Express location with caution, particularly for large orders, and be prepared for potential issues with order accuracy and customer service.

In conclusion, the Panda Express at 6560 Hembree Ln PAD 6 BUILDING in Windsor has received a concerning recent review detailing significant problems with a large catering order, including delays, numerous missing items, and unprofessional customer service from the management. While another customer noted the availability of a few potentially healthful options, the severity of the issues reported with the large order and customer service raises serious red flags for potential customers, especially those considering catering or large takeout orders. Local users should carefully weigh these experiences before deciding to patronize this location.

I’d give this place a zero if I could. Wow! I placed a $300 order today for my first grade students for a Chinese Lunar New Year celebration. I requested for it to be ready at 11:15. We arrived for pick up at 11. It wasn’t ready until after 11:30. The order should have included 3 orange chicken platters, various rice and chow mein sides, and had four salad bowls for teachers. The order also had a note for utensils, plates, napkins, and soy sauce for 70. There were plates, no napkins, no utensils/chopsticks, and 28 fortune cookies. We did get a small box of soy sauce though. Last year we did this as a grade level celebration with the best of care. All of these items were included without reminders. We were also given a serving tong for EACH platter. This year we had ordered (though not received) 8 platters and didn’t receive ANY tongs or serving spoons. Two of the lunch order bowls were incorrect. The nuisance of delayed time was incredibly annoying and messed up our serving time with students, as well as caused quite a wait for my pick up person. But, the worst of it was that two of the most expensive MAIN dishes (orange chicken) were missing! Upon calling, the manager told me that they for sure handed the pick up person two containers of orange chicken. (Mind you, we ordered three.) He then argued with me for ten minutes and told me this has happened before and I “must go check my car” because it had to have “slipped under the seat”. He continued to argue with me regarding these three things; They gave me two for sure (despite my ordering three), that they knew it was in the car under the seat, and that he would investigate. After calling corporate, and about half an hour, they called me back and said they watched cameras and that they did NOT in fact give us 2 (or 3, that we ordered) orange chicken, and did verify they messed up and would refund the chicken. I will NOT ever use this location again for our school festivities. Do NOT recommend. The service was poor. The food is mediocre. The customer service was horrendous. I’ve never been gaslit, accused of lying, and told to check my car repeatedly as if I am unable to check for two full catering platters of chicken and “lost” such things. Ridiculous.

I came in quick before there was a line, as I had already ordered they made me wait for chowmein, then they took longer because they put another wait on the teriyaki but didn’t let me know beforehand. I waited around 20 minutes and the order was still wrong, workers are rude and I think they’re jealous of me or something. Everyone else behind me kept getting they’re food first. I used to love panda express, but this location changed me perspective.

My family came here to eat lunch and enjoyed it very much. It's a little greasy but the food is very fresh and good quality. Tasty as well. Wish they had a tofu or a few vegetarian dishes. The place is clean and the employees are swift and on the ball.
