About Panda Express

Welcome to Panda Express, located at 4400 Hampton Ave in St. Louis, Missouri. As a well-known Chinese Restaurant within the platform category, this particular Panda Express location aims to serve the local community with a selection of popular American Chinese dishes, offering options for both dine-in and takeout, as well as delivery through third-party services like Uber Eats.

Based on recent customer feedback, it is important for potential diners to be aware of some significant issues regarding menu availability and food quality at this specific Panda Express location on Hampton Avenue. One recurring and concerning theme in the reviews is the inconsistent availability of the chicken teriyaki dish, which is a favorite for at least one regular customer. This customer recounted multiple instances over several weeks where the chicken teriyaki was unavailable due to various reasons provided by the staff, including it being frozen, the cook not showing up, a missing truck delivery, or simply being out of stock. The customer's frustration culminated in a direct explanation from a staff member stating that the dish takes too long and is too difficult to prepare, leading to a refusal to make it. This raises serious concerns about the reliability of the menu offerings at this location and the willingness of the staff to prepare certain items.

The same customer also mentioned that their coworker had been experiencing the same problem with the chicken teriyaki's availability, suggesting that this is not an isolated incident but a recurring issue for multiple patrons. This lack of consistent availability for a popular menu item could be a significant drawback for customers specifically visiting Panda Express for the chicken teriyaki.

Another recent review detailed a negative experience with the orange chicken ordered through Uber Eats from this Hampton Avenue location. The customer described the orange chicken as "terrible," with a taste that suggested it was either mixed incorrectly or seasoned with the wrong ingredients, drawing a comparison to the taste of their fire chicken mixed with cleaning solution. This is a strong and concerning statement about the food quality of a signature Panda Express dish. The customer, who regularly orders from a nearby Panda Express and had also ordered from this Hampton location within the last six months without such a negative experience, indicated that the quality was significantly worse on this occasion. This inconsistency in food quality is another important factor for potential customers to consider.

The reviews do not provide much information about the environment of this Panda Express location on Hampton Avenue. As part of a well-known chain, it is likely to have a standard fast-casual restaurant layout, with a counter for ordering and a designated seating area for dine-in customers. However, without specific descriptions from the provided feedback, it is difficult to offer a detailed overview of the ambiance or cleanliness beyond general expectations for a Panda Express establishment.

In terms of services, this Panda Express offers both dine-in and takeout options, consistent with the typical model of the chain. Additionally, they provide delivery through third-party services like Uber Eats, expanding their reach to customers who prefer to enjoy their meals at home or elsewhere. The phone numbers provided, (314) 352-1877 and +1 314-352-1877, indicate that phone orders for pickup may also be an option.

Features of this Panda Express location include its convenient location on Hampton Avenue in St. Louis. As part of a national chain, it offers a familiar menu of American Chinese cuisine. However, based on the recent reviews, potential drawbacks include the inconsistent availability of the chicken teriyaki and potential issues with the quality and preparation of other dishes like the orange chicken. The customer service response to the chicken teriyaki issue, as described in one review, also raises concerns about the staff's willingness to accommodate customer preferences and menu offerings.

Currently, the provided reviews do not contain any specific information about ongoing promotional offers or special deals at this Panda Express location on Hampton Avenue. For local users interested in potential discounts or promotions, it would be advisable to check the official Panda Express website or app, as well as any third-party delivery platforms they might use, for current offers. Contacting the store directly via phone might also provide information on any local promotions.

In conclusion, the Panda Express at 4400 Hampton Ave in St. Louis, MO, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer reviews. While it offers the convenience of a well-known chain with dine-in, takeout, and delivery options, there are significant concerns regarding the consistent availability of the chicken teriyaki and the quality of other dishes like the orange chicken. The customer service response to the menu availability issue, as reported by one customer, is also a point of concern. Potential customers, especially those specifically interested in the chicken teriyaki or expecting consistent quality across the menu, should be aware of these recent experiences when considering this particular Panda Express location. It might be prudent to inquire about the availability and preparation of specific dishes before placing an order.

It is hit and miss I go there for chicken teriyaki which is very very good but every other time I go there they don't have any today they told me it was still frozen last week they told me the cook didn't show up to cook it but they had everything else and then the week before that they told me they didn't get a truck and then the week before that they told me they ran out the chicken teriyaki but it's like they don't want to cook it My coworker just told me the same thing today he's been having the same problem so either they're in business to serve their entire menu or they need to just go away. I just went back today August 4th and I asked him why they were out of chicken teriyaki again and the guy told me it just takes too long to make it's too difficult they don't want to make it so I asked for the district manager's phone number they gave me 800 number to complain they just don't want to make it He told me point blank they don't want to make it unbelievable how they get away with this. At least someone was honest and told me the truth this time.

I ordered Panda from Uber Eats and it came from this store. The orange chicken was terrible! It was either mixed wrong or wrong seasoning as it tasted like their fire chicken mixed with a cleaning solution! I order Panda from a nearby location regularly to know this is not right and have also had it from here within the last 6 months and it didn't taste this bad.

DONT COME HERE IF IT’S NOT THE FIRST HALF OF THE DAY- I live in the neighborhood and have visited this Panda Express COUNTLESS times. Like others have said, they consistently stop making certain items more than an hour before closing time. I pulled up at 8:15 and they said they weren’t making any more of what I ordered (which they allowed me to order btw, I was told this at the window) meanwhile they close at 9:30. And I’m leaving this review because it’s not the first time. And they respond in a way that appears as if they don’t even care. It’s not like this is a small business where you’d understand them consistently having limited supply and labor. A chain as big as this should have it. Like does anyone care about offering good, sensible service anymore? Actually being open and offering what you normally offer until closing time? I could even understand 30 minutes before closing but not 1-2 hours.

Edit 9/14/22: the lobby doors are constantly locked no matter the time of day. There's no signage and no way to know this. I'm a pedestrian so I guess I won't be eating there again. I hadn't eaten Panda Express before, but I was pleased with the food quality. The Super Greens were a bit undercooked, but tasty, and I enjoyed the honey walnut shrimp. I'm giving them four stars for a couple reasons. 1-they had no napkins, and they were completely unapologetic about it. When customers asked, they'd just say, "Oh, we don't have any." The supply chain is a bite, but you're literally a block from Target. I've worked fast food and every manager I had would go buy ten packs of Target napkins instead of saying tough luck. 2-this weird sign on the bathroom door. There are two stalls in the bathroom. What in the world?! Are people doing the do in the Panda Express bathroom?

The orange chicken was so spicy that my eye's were watering. The honey walnut shrimp tasted awful. The tables were dirty and staff was not the friendliest
