About Panda Express
Panda Express is a Chinese restaurant located at 5500 Greenville Ave Suite 200, Dallas, TX 75206, USA. They can be contacted at (214) 361-8283 or +1 214-361-8283. Recent customer reviews raise significant concerns about food quality and safety at this location.
One customer, who had never previously complained about this location, reported a disturbing observation three days prior to their review. They noticed food that didn't look fresh, leading them to suspect it was leftover. They also noted the kitchen appeared unused, with clean frying woks and utensils. Hesitant to purchase adult meals, they only bought a cub meal and found their suspicion to be correct as the chow mein was "hard and cold." Upon returning the food, they were offered a fresh meal with a 20-minute wait, which they declined, doubting the accuracy of the time estimate.
Another customer had a more alarming experience with takeout food. After a few bites, they "bit into something hard and it was a metal wire." They drove back to the restaurant and spoke with the manager, who was described as "extremely professional." However, this incident prompted the reviewer to emphasize the urgent need for better food safety processes to prevent recurrence. They highlighted the potential "horrific outcome" of swallowing metal shavings, especially considering the potential bacteria harbored on the metal brushes used for cleaning.
Based on these reviews, Panda Express at the Greenville Ave location in Dallas, TX, has significant issues regarding food freshness and safety. Customers have reported being served what appeared to be leftover food and, in a more serious incident, finding a metal wire in their meal. While the manager handled the metal wire issue professionally, the lack of fresh-looking food and the presence of a foreign object raise serious concerns about kitchen practices and food safety protocols. Local users should be aware of these recent negative experiences before considering this Panda Express location.
The environment is not explicitly described, but one review noted a seemingly unused kitchen with clean equipment. Services include dine-in and takeout. Key features are the standard Panda Express menu; however, significant drawbacks include concerns about food freshness, potential use of leftover food, and a serious food safety incident involving a metal wire. The potential for bacterial contamination from cleaning tools is also mentioned as a concern. No promotional information is available.

I had never had a complaint about this location but three days ago it was very sad to see how they think a customer won’t notice leftover food. I was planning on buying 2 adult meals plus a cub meal. But I was hesitant to buy it because the food didn’t look fresh and clearly the kitchen was not used at all. I saw clean frying woks and utensils. Not a single signal that the kitchen had been used. So I bought just the cub meal. Sadly I was right about my hunch. The chow mein was hard and cold. I immediately returned the food and the lady said “Do you like fresh meal?” obviously everyone wants fresh food I said. She answered she can cook for me if I wanted to wait 20 min. I wasn’t gonna wait because it was clear that it wasn’t gonna take only 20 minutes.
After a long day of work, stopped by to get food to take home and after a few bites I bit into something hard and it was a metal wire. Drove back up to restaurant and spoke with the manager who was extremely professional. Processes need to be put in place so this doesn't happen again.I work in the medical field and if these metal shaving are ever swallowed/consumed it would have a horrific outcome not to mention whatever bacteria is harbored on the metal brushes they use to clean.
Tasty! Orange chicken and fried rice is a classic combination. Service is usually quick and food is fresh on the line. They recently made some renovations to make service even quicker. They are quite consistent and reasonably priced for the caliber of food served.
I got my food hot and fresh it tasted really good. The service team was awesome, the dinner area was clean just a little cold but over all I really enjoyed my food. I would highly recommend to stop by they just re-opened 2 weeks ago.
Have been going here for years. Not as a regular, but it’s always been the panda express around this area. Today was the worst fast food experience I’ve ever had in my life, I’ve learned my lesson, and will make sure to never come to this location again.
