About Panda Express

Welcome to the Panda Express located at 6180 Glenway Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45211, USA. As part of a well-known chain in the Chinese Restaurant category, this particular Panda Express aims to provide fast and convenient Chinese-American cuisine to the local community. You can reach them at (513) 389-9180 or their mobile number +1 513-389-9180 for inquiries.

Based on recent customer reviews, the experience at this Glenway Avenue Panda Express appears to be somewhat varied. One reviewer expressed a highly positive sentiment, stating that this location is "by far the best one I’ve been to!" This customer frequently visits this specific Panda Express and consistently praises the "top-notch" customer service, highlighting the friendly and welcoming nature of the staff. They also commend the food for being "always fresh and hot," with the orange chicken being a particular favorite. The cleanliness of the restaurant was also noted as a point of pride for the staff. Adding to the positive experience, the reviewer mentioned a manager on shift who personally checked on them to ensure their satisfaction, which they considered a "nice touch." This overwhelmingly positive review suggests that some customers find this Panda Express to excel in both food quality and customer service.

In contrast, another customer shared a significantly negative experience, expressing a strong dislike for "cheap restaurants." This reviewer ordered the sweet chili chicken and was dissatisfied with the dish's composition, reporting a large quantity of "peppers, onions, pineapples and SMALL bits of chicken." Upon returning to the restaurant to inquire about the portion size of the chicken, they were informed that dishes containing vegetables inherently have less chicken compared to those without, such as the orange chicken. This explanation did not satisfy the reviewer, especially when they observed other patrons receiving what appeared to be more generous protein portions in non-vegetable dishes with larger pieces of chicken.

The interaction with the staff member regarding the portion size further exacerbated the negative experience. The reviewer was told that their serving contained seven pieces of chicken and that they could purchase additional chicken for $1.50. This offer was deemed unreasonable by the customer, who felt that the dish primarily consisted of vegetables (onions, peppers, and pineapples) rather than the advertised chicken. It's important to note that the reviewer also mentioned that the vegetables they were seeing were part of an additional entree choice they had made, which adds complexity to the portion discussion. Furthermore, the reviewer found the staff member's method of pointing out the seven pieces of chicken with a marker while speaking very close to their food to be unprofessional ("Smh!"). As a result of this experience, the reviewer stated they would not return and had advised their son against visiting this Panda Express as well, at least not at their expense. This strongly negative review raises concerns about the consistency of protein portions in certain dishes and the customer service handling of such complaints.

Considering these two contrasting reviews, it's evident that experiences at this Panda Express can vary significantly. One customer highlights exceptional service, fresh food, and a clean environment, while the other reports dissatisfaction with the protein portion in a vegetable-based dish and an unsatisfactory interaction with the staff. This suggests that while some aspects of this location may be commendable, there could be inconsistencies in food preparation or portioning for certain menu items, as well as potential issues in how customer concerns are addressed.

As part of a national chain, the environment of this Panda Express likely follows a standard fast-food restaurant layout. Customers can expect a casual dining area with tables and chairs for those who choose to eat on-site. The reviewer who had a positive experience specifically mentioned that the restaurant was clean, which is an important aspect of the dining environment. The "storefront" nature of many Panda Express locations typically involves a service counter where customers place their orders and view the available dishes in warming trays. The decor is usually consistent with the brand's image, often incorporating Chinese-inspired elements.

In terms of services, Panda Express primarily operates as a fast-food restaurant offering both dine-in and takeout options. Customers can order at the counter to eat at the restaurant or take their food to go. Many locations, including this one, likely also offer online ordering and delivery through third-party services, although this is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. The positive review highlights attentive customer service, including a manager checking on guests, which suggests a focus on customer satisfaction beyond just order fulfillment. The negative review, however, points to a situation where the customer service response to a concern about food portioning was not well-received.

As a well-established chain, Panda Express features a standard menu of popular Chinese-American dishes. These typically include a variety of entrees such as orange chicken (a widely popular item mentioned in the positive review), sweet chili chicken (the dish that caused dissatisfaction in the negative review), Kung Pao chicken, broccoli beef, and various chow mein and fried rice options. Sides like super greens, white steamed rice, and brown steamed rice are also usually available, along with appetizers such as spring rolls and cream cheese rangoon. The menu is designed for quick service and customization, allowing customers to choose their base (rice or noodles), entrees, and sides.

Features of Panda Express generally include its speed and convenience, making it a popular choice for those seeking a quick meal. The consistent menu across different locations allows customers to have a predictable dining experience. The positive review suggests that this particular location may excel in maintaining food freshness and providing friendly customer service, potentially setting it apart from other branches. However, the negative review highlights a potential issue with the protein-to-vegetable ratio in some dishes and a less-than-satisfactory handling of a customer complaint.

Promotional information for Panda Express is often available through their national marketing campaigns, which may include limited-time offers, seasonal specials, or discounts on family meals. Customers can usually find information about these promotions on the official Panda Express website or through their mobile app. The provided reviews do not mention any specific promotions at this Glenway Avenue location. It would be advisable for customers to check the official Panda Express channels for any ongoing deals or offers.

In conclusion, the Panda Express located at 6180 Glenway Ave in Cincinnati, OH, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer feedback. While one reviewer had an exceptional experience with friendly service, fresh food (especially the orange chicken), and a clean environment, another reported significant dissatisfaction with the portion of chicken in the sweet chili chicken dish and the way their concern was handled. This suggests that the quality and service may not be consistently excellent across all aspects of the menu or for all customers. Local users considering this Panda Express should weigh these contrasting experiences. If seeking a quick and familiar Chinese-American meal, particularly the orange chicken, the positive review indicates this location could be a good choice. However, those ordering dishes with vegetables may want to be mindful of the protein content, as highlighted in the negative review. For the most up-to-date information on the menu and any national or local promotions, it is recommended to visit the official Panda Express website or contact the restaurant directly.

I visit this Panda Express often, and it’s by far the best one I’ve been to! The customer service is top-notch, everyone is friendly and welcoming. The food is always fresh and hot, especially the orange chicken, which is my favorite. You can tell they take pride in keeping the place clean, and it shows. The manager on shift even checked on us to make sure we were happy, which was a nice touch. If you’re looking for great food and great service, this is the Panda Express to visit!

I can't stand cheap restaurants! I ordered the sweet chilli chicken and received a bunch of peppers, onions, pineapples and SMALL bits of chicken. When I returned, after looking at my food in the car, to ask about the portion size of chicken I was told because it comes with vegetables there isn't a lot of chicken in serving such as how much you would receive with the orange chicken which do not have veggies (the explanation given when I said other patrons received generous protein portion servings). Ok, then explain why the pieces for those other non-vegetable proteins such as orange chicken have larger sized chicken pieces? I will not be returning and I already informed my son not to ask me to go there again, on my dime, either. The young lady who served me informed me if I received 7 pieces of chicken and I could purchase more for $1.50. Why would I purchase more onions, peppers, and pineapples!? I mean that's really what it consists of. Also the veggies you're seeing were an additional entree choice. And while polite, the young lady chose to use her marker to point out the seven pieces of chicken as she talked very close to my food. Smh!

Poor customer service. Asked the short reddish haired girl how much longer she said let me check, never got back with me! And she had a nasty attitude.

This location, unfortunately, has gone down quickly. The cashier is extremely rude and dismissive of customers. Instead of explaining why when I orders were running 30 minutes late, he rolls his eyes and acts like you are an issue when you have already spent your money. They can’t keep consistent staff so the entrees taste different everytime. I guess it’s time to take my business to a locally owned Chinese shop.
