About Panda Express

Panda Express, a prominent name in the American-Chinese fast-casual dining landscape, maintains a presence at 1151 E State Hwy 152, Mustang, OK 73064, USA. As a Chinese restaurant, this location adheres to the brand's established model of providing quick and convenient meals, featuring a menu of popular Chinese-inspired dishes designed for efficiency and accessibility to a broad customer base. It aims to offer a consistent experience across its various locations, focusing on a streamlined process for both dine-in and takeout.

The environment at this Panda Express is typical of the chain's fast-casual setup. It's designed for quick service, featuring a visible serving line where customers select their desired entrees and sides. While there are tables available for dine-in, the primary emphasis is often on the rapid turnover of customers, particularly through the drive-thru. The interior is generally functional and clean, providing a no-frills space for a quick meal. The layout is optimized for efficient ordering and food preparation, which is a key aspect of the Panda Express brand. However, the ambiance might not be the primary draw for those seeking a more traditional sit-down dining experience, as the focus remains on speed and convenience.

Service at this Panda Express location is characterized by its speed, particularly in the drive-thru. Customers have noted "super quick drive thru" service, indicating that the establishment excels at moving orders efficiently. However, while quick, the customer service aspect of the interaction itself can sometimes be less than ideal. One reviewer mentioned a "blah attitude" from the staff, suggesting that while the process is fast, the warmth or attentiveness of the service might be inconsistent. There was also a reported oversight with "no soy sauce in bag to go," indicating potential issues with order completeness for takeout. These observations suggest that while the operational speed is a strength, the quality of customer interaction and attention to detail for accompanying items could be improved.

The culinary offerings at Panda Express are a blend of classic American-Chinese dishes. From the reviews, key items mentioned include:

  • Walnut Shrimp: Consistently described as "delicious," indicating a strong, reliable dish on the menu.
  • Rice (likely Fried Rice or Steamed White Rice): Generally reported as "fine," suggesting a standard, acceptable quality.
  • Beef and Broccoli: Deemed "pretty good," indicating it's a solid, if not outstanding, choice.
  • Egg Rolls: These received strong negative feedback, described as "real nasty," "GROSS," and in need of a complete recipe overhaul. This highlights a significant area for improvement at this location.
  • Other Entrees: A "3 entree plate" was described as "cold," with "small portions," and some dishes potentially being "bland." The observation of "not much to choose from" at times could imply limited availability of certain popular items on the serving line.

A recurring concern related to the food is its temperature, with a specific mention of a plate being "cold." While the "veggies were crisp which I like," the overall coldness and blandness of some dishes, coupled with small portions, suggest inconsistencies in food preparation and holding. The additional charge of "$1.50 more on some entrees" is a standard practice for "premium" items (like Walnut Shrimp or Honey Walnut Shrimp), which customers should be aware of when ordering.

In terms of promotional information, Panda Express, as a national chain, frequently runs various deals and has a well-established loyalty program. The Panda Rewards program allows customers to earn points on every purchase, which can then be redeemed for free food items, such as upgrades to premium entrees, free appetizers, or even entire meals (Bowls, Plates, Family Meals). For example, a certain number of points might get you a free upgrade to a premium entree, while more points could lead to a free full meal. Additionally, Panda Express often offers limited-time promotions, seasonal specials, or deals on family meals. These promotions are typically advertised through their mobile app, website, and in-store signage. For instance, common offers might include getting a bonus card (e.g., a Lucky $8 Bonus Card) with the purchase of a certain value of gift cards (e.g., $30+). Customers looking for current deals specific to the Mustang, OK location should consult the official Panda Express app or website, or call them directly at (405) 764-8892 or +1 405-764-8892, as promotions can vary by region or time.

Panda Express in Mustang operates with typical fast-casual hours, generally open from mid-morning (e.g., 10:30 AM) to late evening (e.g., 9:30 PM or 10:00 PM), seven days a week, making it accessible for both lunch and dinner. While the speed of the drive-thru is a clear advantage, potential customers should be aware of the reported inconsistencies regarding specific food items like egg rolls, as well as potential issues with food temperature, portion sizes, and service attitude, based on recent customer feedback. The location's convenience on E State Hwy 152 is a significant draw, offering a quick stop for American-Chinese fare.

Now the walnut shrimp was delicious and it always is. Rice was fine. Beef and broccoli were pretty good, but Panda we need to talk about those egg rolls. Those egg rolls are real nasty. You need to fix the egg roll recipe and just start over from scratch. GROSS. YOU KNOW THEY ARE GROSS.

It was super quick drive thru, service was quick but blah attitude, food was bland, ordered a 3 entree plate, it was cold, small portions, veggies were crisp which I like but cold,no soy sauce in bag to go. Really not much to choose from, then charge 1.50 more on some entrees. The tiny container with 3rd entree was soaked from juice spilling out

The noodles were cold & like rubber. They were out of my second choice on meat. So I had to wait 10 min for them to cook it. But it was fresh. By the time I got it I was finished eating my food, except for the noodles.

This store is struggling as a new store. Tonight was the 3rd time in a row we have gone here for dinner and they were out of what 3 of us ordered (still preparing). They just need to be better prepared. 2 time no fortune cookies. Food is good
