About Panda Express
Panda Express, located at 116 E Interstate 240 Service Rd in Oklahoma City, serves as a local option for those seeking Chinese-American fast food. As part of a larger chain, this location offers a convenient drive-thru and online ordering services in addition to its in-restaurant dining. Panda Express is known for its quick service and a menu featuring popular dishes such as orange chicken, various noodle and rice options, and appetizers.
However, recent customer reviews for this particular Oklahoma City location present some significant concerns regarding the quality and preparation of the food. One customer who used the drive-thru service reported a disappointing experience with the portion of noodles they received, stating, "Ordered a plate on drive thru and when I got back to eat it there is an embarrassing amount of noodles in here. It’s all cabbage." This feedback suggests a potential issue with the consistency and composition of some menu items, with a disproportionate amount of less desirable ingredients compared to the main component.
Another customer detailed a highly negative experience with an online order placed for morning pickup. They described the food as being far below expectations, expressing regret for not having inspected it in person before leaving. This reviewer stated, "First time using the app to order online. HUGE mistake there. Had I come inside and saw the food, I would've turned around and gone somewhere else." This indicates a considerable discrepancy between the expectation set by the online ordering platform and the actual food received.
A particularly alarming aspect of this review was the customer's suspicion about the freshness of the food, suggesting that it might have been reheated leftovers from the previous day. They elaborated, "Apparently, when you order first thing in the morning, you get last nights reheated left overs. I took a couple bites, and the food was lukewarm at best, rubbery, and sticky. Like ... pulled out of the fridge and reheated type sticky." This raises serious concerns about food safety and quality control at this location, as serving reheated leftovers can significantly impact taste and texture, and potentially pose health risks if not handled properly.
Further issues were highlighted with specific menu items in the same review. The Apple Pie Eggrolls were described as inedible, with the customer stating they were "Burnt beyond being even considered as a viable food source." This indicates a significant error in the cooking process, resulting in a product that was not only unappetizing but also unusable. Additionally, the preparation of the crab rangoons was inconsistent, with the customer noting, "Why are part of the crab rangoons undercooked and smushy while the others are cooked right?!" This lack of consistency in cooking suggests potential issues with quality control and attention to detail in the kitchen.
Even the plain chicken, typically a safe option, was reportedly of poor quality. The reviewer mentioned, "My dog wouldnt even eat the plain chicken. She spit it out, as it was too chewy for her." This extreme reaction from a pet further underscores the severity of the quality issues experienced by this customer, indicating that the chicken was unpalatably tough.
Despite the customer's prior positive experiences with the Panda Express brand in general, this particular visit was overwhelmingly negative, leading to a strong statement against returning. The reviewer concluded, "We love Panda Express, but this was my most disappointing experience. Do better! People spend their hard earned money to support your business and in return, you serve them garbage. Wont be back." This passionate and disappointed feedback emphasizes the significant impact of poor food quality and preparation on customer loyalty and the reputation of the establishment.
Given these recent reviews, potential customers of the Panda Express location on E Interstate 240 Service Rd in Oklahoma City should be aware of the reported issues with food quality, portion size, and consistency. While Panda Express is a well-known chain, experiences can vary by location, and these reviews suggest that this particular branch may be facing challenges in maintaining the brand's standards. Customers who choose to order from this location may want to inspect their food carefully before leaving, especially for takeout and drive-thru orders.
The reviews do not provide any information about the environment of the restaurant itself, as both detailed experiences were related to takeout and drive-thru orders. Therefore, an objective description of the dining ambiance is not possible based on this feedback. Similarly, there is no mention of any specific promotional offers or features unique to this location.
In conclusion, while Panda Express on E Interstate 240 Service Rd in Oklahoma City offers the convenience of a well-known fast-food chain with drive-thru and online ordering options, recent customer reviews indicate significant concerns regarding food quality, including issues with portion size, freshness (potential serving of reheated leftovers), inconsistent cooking (undercooked and burnt items), and poor texture. Potential customers should consider these recent experiences when deciding whether to patronize this particular location. For those who do choose to order, careful inspection of the food upon receipt is advisable. For inquiries or to provide feedback, the restaurant can be contacted at (405) 631-9280 or +1 405-631-9280.

Ordered a plate on drive thru and when I got back to eat it there is an embarrassing amount of noodles in here. It’s all cabbage. I would’ve driven back if I wasn’t 25 minutes away. I won’t be coming here again
First time using the app to order online. HUGE mistake there. Had I come inside and saw the food, I would've turned around and gone somewhere else. Placed an order at 10:45am, for an 11am pickup. Apparently, when you order first thing in the morning, you get last nights reheated left overs. I took a couple bites, and the food was lukewarm at best, rubbery, and sticky. Like ... pulled out of the fridge and reheated type sticky. The Apple Pie Eggrolls? Not edible. Burnt beyond being even considered as a viable food source. Why are part of the crab rangoons undercooked and smushy while the others are cooked right?! My dog wouldnt even eat the plain chicken. She spit it out, as it was too chewy for her. We love Panda Express, but this was my most disappointing experience. Do better! People spend their hard earned money to support your business and in return, you serve them garbage. Wont be back.
I recently visited Panda Express and tried the teriyaki chicken, spicy orange chicken, ramen, and fried rice. Overall, it was okay. The teriyaki chicken was a bit underwhelming, and the ramen was average. However, the spicy orange chicken stood out as the highlight of the meal, it was flavorful and had a great kick. The fried rice was decent, but nothing to write home about. While the meal had its ups and downs, the orange chicken is worth a try if you’re a fan of spicy and tangy flavors.
First I did go late, I ordered and was told that it would take 10 minutes for my meal that was fine. I pulled to window and they gave me my food no wait. Got home and that was the worst meal I had ever got there. The chicken was so old it had dried around the edges with extra sauce they had put on it. If you were out and didn't want to cook more just say we're out which have me the option to order something different.
The best thing about Panda Express is that you know what you are going to get when you walk through the door, not just here in Oklahoma but across the country. This particular store gad friendly staff who took my order promptly and served up exactly what I ordered. The quality is good and it is fairly priced.
