About Panda Express

Panda Express, located at 1351 E Debbie Ln Lot 6, Mansfield, TX 76063, USA, is a well-known chain categorized as a Chinese Restaurant offering a variety of American Chinese cuisine. While generally recognized for its quick service and familiar menu, recent customer reviews specific to this Mansfield location present some notable concerns regarding food quality, portion sizes, and order accuracy, particularly depending on the service method used.

One customer shared a comparative experience between ordering inside the restaurant versus using the drive-thru. They strongly advised that patrons should go inside to receive "better food and better portions." In contrast, they reported that the drive-thru service resulted in "crappy portions" and a chow mein dish that was predominantly onions and cabbage, lacking the expected balance of noodles and other ingredients. This suggests a potential discrepancy in the quality and quantity of food provided through different service channels at this location.

Further detailing their negative drive-thru experience, this customer stated that their order was also inaccurate. They had ordered a combination of half chow mein/half super greens, along with orange chicken and firecracker steak & shrimp. However, they received all chow mein and honey walnut shrimp that tasted "old." This significant error in order fulfillment, coupled with the poor quality of the received items, led to a highly unsatisfactory experience. The included picture of the chow mein, featuring a "giant chunk of cabbage twice the width of my fork," visually reinforces the customer's description of a disproportionately vegetable-heavy and presumably low-quality dish.

The reviewer concluded by reiterating their preference for ordering inside the restaurant, implying a belief that the in-person ordering process yields a significantly better outcome in terms of food quality and order accuracy at this specific Panda Express location.

Another customer, who had not eaten at Panda Express for a long time, also reported a "horrendous" experience with their recent order. This suggests that the issues are not isolated to drive-thru orders alone. Their criticisms focused on the poor quality of multiple dishes. The fried rice was described as "white" with "no soy sauce added when it was made," labeling it as "the worst fried rice I’ve ever had at Panda Express." This indicates a fundamental flaw in the preparation of a staple dish, resulting in a bland and uncharacteristic product.

Furthermore, this reviewer found the chow mein to have "absolutely no flavor," echoing the sentiment of the first reviewer regarding the low quality of this particular dish. The honey walnut shrimp, another popular item, was reported as "missing the honey," indicating a significant oversight in the preparation that would drastically alter the flavor profile of the dish.

This second customer speculated that it might have been an "off day" for the restaurant but emphasized that the food was "terrible" and urged the establishment to "Please do better." This suggests a broader issue with food preparation and quality control that affected multiple aspects of their order, regardless of the service method.

Based on these two recent customer reviews, there are significant concerns regarding the food quality and order accuracy at this Panda Express location in Mansfield, TX. While Panda Express is generally known for its consistency across different branches, these reviews suggest a potential deviation from that standard at this particular restaurant. The discrepancy in experience between ordering inside versus using the drive-thru, as reported by one customer, is also noteworthy.

Information regarding the environment of this Panda Express location is not detailed in the provided reviews. As a fast-food chain, Panda Express typically features a casual and functional dining area suitable for quick meals. However, the reviews do not offer any specific insights into the cleanliness, ambiance, or overall condition of the interior of this particular restaurant.

The services offered at this location clearly include both drive-thru and dine-in options, as indicated by the first review. Panda Express also typically offers takeout services. The second review mentions placing an order (presumably for takeout or delivery, though not explicitly stated), suggesting that these options are also available. The efficiency and accuracy of the drive-thru service appear to be problematic based on one customer's experience, while the quality of food for takeout/dine-in also raises concerns based on the second review.

The features of Panda Express generally include a standardized menu of American Chinese dishes, quick service, and affordability. However, the specific features of this Mansfield location, as perceived by recent customers, include potentially inconsistent food quality, variable portion sizes depending on the ordering method, and a risk of order inaccuracies, particularly through the drive-thru. The lack of flavor in key dishes like fried rice and chow mein, as well as missing ingredients in items like honey walnut shrimp, are also concerning features highlighted in the reviews.

No promotional information specific to this Panda Express location was included in the provided reviews. Panda Express as a chain often has national or regional promotions, which local users might be able to find on the official Panda Express website or app, but there is no indication of any unique offers at this Mansfield branch based on the given feedback.

In conclusion, recent customer reviews for the Panda Express at 1351 E Debbie Ln in Mansfield, TX, paint a concerning picture regarding food quality and service. There are reports of poor portion sizes and low-quality food received through the drive-thru, as well as significant issues with the flavor and preparation of key menu items like fried rice and chow mein, and errors in order fulfillment. One customer suggests that the experience might be better when ordering inside the restaurant. Potential customers should be aware of these recent negative experiences and might consider ordering inside or carefully checking their orders before leaving the premises to ensure accuracy and quality.

If you go to this location, go inside so they give you better food and better portions. If you go through the drive thru, they give you crappy portions and "chow mein" that is primarily onions and cabbage. They didn't even get my order right. I ordered half chow mein/half super greens + orange chicken and firecracker steak & shrimp, they gave me all chow mein and honey walnut shrimp that tasted old. I didn't know until i got home and opened the box. Picture is the chow mein I received with a giant chunk of cabbage twice the width of my fork. I always get better food when I go inside.

I haven’t had Panda Express in a long time and today I had a taste for it. The food I ordered was absolutely horrendous. The fried rice was white (no soy sauce was added when it was made), it was the worst fried rice I’ve ever had at Panda Express. The Chow Mein had absolutely no flavor and the Honey Walnut Shrimp was missing the honey. Maybe this was an off day for them but the food was terrible. Please do better.

I'm going to preface this review by saying that I'm not the biggest fan of Panda Express, BUT if this cook/manager? is making the food, I'll come every time. ********************************** My husband loves Panda Express, so I've been to more locations than I could count on both my hands. Almost every time, their items are either not sauced enough or overly sauced and too sweet. There was never a happy medium, hence me not liking it. Well, one day after a doctor's visit, I actually requested we eat at this specific Panda Express because it was close, and we were pressed for time, plus it's one of the hubs' favorites. I was not expecting much since we've eaten at Panda so many times. I get my usual-fried rice, walnut shrimp, and decided on a new dish, the sesame chicken. I noticed the Fire Cracker shrimp and asked if I could sample one. I guess with the pandemic, they don't do that anymore? I was fine wth that. Inflation is killing everyone. The person behind the counter scooped a few into my plate anyway. I thought it was very nice of him. Hubby and I sat down to eat, and I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was well-seasoned and cooked well. The rice wasn't undercooked nor dry. The sauce wasn't gloopy, and the items we had were not over-sauced. I tried the firecracker shrimp that he scooped into my plate, and my eyebrows shot up. Hmm, it's not sweet. That was a pleasant surprise for me, as I don't like to eat a lot of sweet foods in my meals, so I had my husband go back and order a side of fire cracker shrimp and abandoned my sesame chicken, also not bad but was sweet. After a pretty satisfying meal, I had to take a picture of the person who I assumed made the food, and made a mental note that if he was making it the next time, my meal might taste okay.

I ordered a 2 entre plate with fried rice/orange chicken/beef broccoli. The broccoli was very big chunks and after I’d eaten 2 of the florets I noticed there was only one tiny piece of beef. The rice was sticky but the orange chicken was ok. I also ordered an egg roll which looked like it was yesterdays leftover. It was not good. I was also not offered sweet and sour sauce, I thought it would’ve been in the bag with the egg roll. It was not. It was 8:00 in the evening and raining or I’d take it back. I rarely write reviews but felt this dinner needed one.
