About Panda Express

Located at 856 E Alosta Ave in Azusa, California, Panda Express is a well-known establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, specifically operating under a fast-casual model. As a large chain, Panda Express is recognized for its quick service and a standardized menu featuring American Chinese cuisine. However, the local experience at this particular Azusa location appears to be a point of concern for some customers, as indicated by recent reviews. This introduction aims to provide local users with an objective overview based on this feedback, highlighting both potential positives and significant negatives regarding the environment, services, and food quality at this specific Panda Express.

As a fast-casual chain restaurant, the environment of the Panda Express on E Alosta Ave in Azusa likely follows a familiar layout. Customers can expect a brightly lit and functional space designed for efficiency. Food is typically displayed in warming stations, allowing for quick selection and service. Seating is usually available for those who choose to dine in, offering a casual and family-friendly atmosphere. The focus is on high turnover and convenience, catering to individuals and families seeking a quick and familiar meal.

In terms of services, Panda Express generally offers counter service where customers select their dishes and pay before finding a seat or taking their food to go. Online ordering for pickup is also a standard service at many locations. However, one review specifically details a negative experience with online ordering at this Azusa branch. The customer placed an order around 9:30 pm and was informed upon arrival that online ordering had closed at that time, and they were unable to fulfill the order or offer a refund. This incident raises serious concerns about the operational practices and customer service regarding online orders at this particular location. Another recurring service issue mentioned is the portion sizes, with one reviewer stating they were "VERY stingy" compared to other Panda Express locations, leading to a feeling of being shortchanged.

The food quality at this Azusa Panda Express also receives mixed feedback, with a notable negative sentiment in one review. While the "orange chicken" was identified as the only good item, other dishes were heavily criticized. The "sirloin steak" was described as "mostly onions and bell pepper in a flavorless sauce," with the steak itself being a mere "faint whiff." Similarly, the "chow mein" was reported to be "dry and bland." This customer strongly recommended avoiding this location and suggested trying a nearby alternative, Chinese Taste, praising its flavor, portion sizes, and price. This comparison directly reflects a significant dissatisfaction with the food quality at this Panda Express.

The features that typically define Panda Express as a chain, such as its standardized menu and quick service, are present at this location. However, the local execution of these features seems to be falling short for some customers. The inconsistency in portion sizes compared to other branches and the issues with online order handling detract from the expected reliability of a chain restaurant. The negative feedback on the flavor and composition of certain dishes also indicates a potential problem with food preparation at this specific site.

Information regarding current promotions at this specific Panda Express location is not provided in the reviews. Panda Express as a chain often offers various promotions, such as family meal deals, seasonal specials, and online order discounts. To find out about any ongoing promotions at the 856 E Alosta Ave, Azusa, CA branch, customers would need to check the official Panda Express website or contact the store directly at (626) 815-2723 or +1 626-815-2723. However, given the negative experiences reported, potential customers might want to weigh the value of any promotions against the reported issues with food quality and service.

In conclusion, based on the limited but strongly negative recent reviews, the Panda Express located at 856 E Alosta Ave in Azusa, CA, appears to be a location that local users might want to approach with caution. While it operates under the well-known Panda Express brand, the feedback indicates significant issues with food quality, particularly the sirloin steak and chow mein, and inconsistencies in portion sizes compared to other locations. Furthermore, a concerning incident regarding an online order and the refusal of a refund points to potential problems with customer service and operational policies at this specific branch. While the orange chicken was noted as a positive, the overall sentiment suggests that the experience at this Azusa Panda Express has been unsatisfactory for some customers, leading at least one to recommend a nearby competitor. Local residents craving Panda Express in Azusa might consider the reviewer's suggestion to visit the Grand/Badillo or Mountain/Duarte locations instead, based on the negative experiences reported at this E Alosta Ave branch.

For those who still wish to contact or visit this Panda Express location, the phone numbers are (626) 815-2723 and +1 626-815-2723, and the address is 856 E Alosta Ave, Azusa, CA 91702, USA. However, it is recommended to be aware of the recent negative feedback regarding food quality, portion sizes, and online order handling.

They gave me a faint whiff of the sirloin steak. It was mostly onions and bell pepper in a flavorless sauce. The chow mein was also dry and bland. The only good thing was the orange chicken. This is definitely the last time I give Panda a chance. Go down the street and give Chinese Taste a try instead, it's right next to the chic fil a. They will load you up at a cheaper price, and the selection actually has flavor. I recommend the fish.

I’ve had horrible experiences at this Panda location twice. First time, they were VERY stingy on portion sizes. I always order plates & have gotten double the portion compared to what this location gives. However, I wanted to give them a second chance. They managed to do even worse. For me to say I was livid is an understatement. I place an online order at approximately 9:30pm & when I walked in to pick it up at the estimated time, they said they were unable to check my order since they closed online ordering at 9:30pm. I’ve ordered around this time at multiple locations and NEVER had this issue. They refused to offer me a refund. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS. If you’re craving Panda and reside in Azusa, go to either the Grand/Badillo or the Mountain/Duarte location.

Although the food was good, I didn't like how rude the manager (some Grumpy Small Asian Lady) is and how she treated the first responders and members of the California Army National Gaurds during the time of the Greater Los Angeles Fires when offering discounts. When the worker was trying to give us discounts and other things, the manager got mad and scolded at them.

I think we all know what we getting into when we order from fast food restaurants, so my reviews are always focused on the staff and ambience. This locations space is always clean, I'm always greeted when I walk in the door to pick up my mobile order, and my order is always correct and ready on time. 👍 I recommend the string bean chicken. I do not recommend the super greens because they are really salty.

I placed my order and paid and I sat down and was waiting for my spingles to be cooked and they forgot all about me. He brought the spring rolls out, put them in the dish, handed some out to some other customers and didn't bring over my order to me. The guy that helped me was down serving other people and forgot all about me! Terrible service. If the employee can't remember that you had an order pending for 10 minutes!
