Panda Express

We were there on the Fourth of July, and the place was absolutely packed. It was one of the only businesses open in the area. Though the lines were long, the staff were quick, and the food was as good as you would expect.

I don't like the experience I had at Panda today (Del Mar) and I won't be back. Their computers froze two orders at two different registers at the same time. The screen said approved for me but I was told it didn't go through. TWO customers saw this; the first time it approved only a certain amount, which is crazy, so the lady next to me was kind enough to pay the difference. Well the cashier canceled my order and then wanted me to tap my card again 🙄 The next customer at the register beside me didn't't the ave anything on his screen.😳 The mgr was underneath the counter looking under the registers trying to figure out what was going on. We're both standing there hungry trying to be patient and definitely not wanting cold food. Anyway, they ended up giving him (Caucasian guy) his food complimentary, but I had not only stood there longer, they acted as if they weren't going to compliment my meal (I'm African-American) they sorta hesitated when I said something and then they did; I didn't like that. It's clear there was a technical issue and for the record I was charged but I won't be back.

Their food became much, much better, equal to Panda Express in Mira Mesa. We usually order orange chicken, beef broccoli with rice and noodles. Everything is so quick, and the line is short. The food is not too sweet, too salty or sour as in the other locations (UTC Westfield food court Panda Express is terrible).
