About Panda Express

Welcome to Panda Express, a well-known chain in the Chinese Restaurant category, located at 27000 Crown Valley Pkwy VC/09, Mission Viejo, CA 92691, USA. Situated within a food court setting, this Panda Express branch offers a familiar menu of American Chinese cuisine, catering to local users looking for quick and convenient meal options. You can contact them at (949) 364-6982 or their mobile number, +1 949-364-6982, for inquiries. However, recent customer reviews indicate potential issues with food quality and service consistency at this particular location that prospective customers may find relevant.

Based on the feedback from recent customers, there appear to be significant concerns regarding both the food quality and the service practices at this Panda Express in Mission Viejo. One customer described the noodles as the "worst (dry or uncooked) in OC" (Orange County) and further stated that the portion size was "half" compared to other Panda Express locations within the same region. This review raises serious questions about the quality control and consistency of food preparation at this specific branch, particularly concerning their noodle dishes. The significant discrepancy in portion size compared to other Panda Express outlets suggests a potential issue with adherence to standard serving guidelines.

Another customer recounted a disappointing lunchtime experience that highlighted inconsistencies in serving practices. This customer observed a server giving "double portions of chicken" to a group of individuals without any additional charge. However, when it was this customer's turn to be served by a different employee who came to assist the line, they noticed that the portions given were "skimpy" for both entrees they ordered. Upon asking if they could have a little more of the second entree, given the small initial servings, the employee reportedly stated that extra chicken would incur an additional cost. This inconsistency in serving sizes, where some customers received double portions for free while others were denied a small extra amount without an upcharge, led to a highly negative experience. The customer expressed feeling so dissatisfied that they almost left their food and went to another establishment in the food court, but ultimately decided against it to avoid being impolite.

These two reviews collectively paint a concerning picture of this Panda Express location in Mission Viejo. The first review points to potentially substandard food quality, specifically with the noodles, and significantly smaller portion sizes compared to other branches. The second review highlights issues with inconsistent service practices, where preferential treatment in portion sizes was seemingly given to some customers while others received noticeably smaller servings and were then asked to pay extra for a সামান্য increase. This inconsistency and the perception of unfair treatment can lead to significant customer dissatisfaction.

Given that this Panda Express is located within a food court, the environment is likely typical of such settings, characterized by a communal seating area and a bustling atmosphere. The focus is generally on quick service and convenience rather than a specific ambiance unique to the restaurant itself. The reviews do not provide any specific details about the cleanliness or overall environment of this particular Panda Express stall within the food court.

The services offered would primarily include the standard Panda Express menu items available for ordering at the counter, with options for taking the food to a shared seating area within the food court or for takeout. The negative reviews, however, directly address the quality and consistency of these core services, raising concerns about the reliability of the food preparation and the fairness of the serving practices.

In terms of features, Panda Express as a chain is known for its readily available and familiar American Chinese dishes. However, the specific features of this Mission Viejo location, based on the recent feedback, seem to be overshadowed by the reported negative aspects of food quality and service inconsistency. The fact that it is located in a food court might be seen as a feature of convenience for those already in the area, but the quality of the food and service provided within that setting appear to be below the standards experienced at other Panda Express locations, according to these reviews.

No promotional information is mentioned in the provided reviews. As a large chain, Panda Express often has national or regional promotions, but whether those are consistently applied or advertised at this specific food court location is unknown. Customers interested in potential deals or discounts would need to inquire directly at the store.

In conclusion, the recent customer feedback for the Panda Express located at 27000 Crown Valley Pkwy in Mission Viejo, CA, raises significant concerns. One reviewer cited the worst noodle quality in Orange County and unusually small portion sizes, while another detailed an experience of inconsistent serving practices and being asked to pay extra for a সামান্য increase in a skimpy portion. These negative experiences suggest potential issues with food quality control and customer service consistency at this particular branch. Local users considering this Panda Express for a quick meal in the food court should be aware of these recent reports, which highlight a discrepancy in quality and service compared to other Panda Express locations and potentially unfair serving practices.

Worst noodles (dry or uncooked) in OC and half portion size compared to other Panda in Orange County

I went to get lunch. I usually try to see if the person scooping the entrees gives a decent portion given their single scoop standard. The server who was serving the group of guys before another customer then me gave them double portions of chicken without an upcharge for extra portions. Then there was a different server who came on to help the line and when I went he skimped on the one scoop of each entree. I decided to ask if I could get a little bit more of the second entree when both seemed skimpy and then the guy said it would cost extra for extra chicken. Overall the experience was very disappointing and I almost was considering walking off, leaving the food there and going to a different place in the food court but I didn't want to be rude.

This particular Panda Express is in the food court of The Shopps st Mission Veiho Shopping Mall. The service and atmosphere are those of a food court. The chow mein are good. The orange chicken is ok too. The fried rice didn't live up to my expectations

Today I had lunch at this Panda Express. The wait in line was reasonable but if they had a second person getting the food I think the service would have been better. I didn't see the mushroom chicken as an option because there was no name placard but they did have a fresh batch coming out when I ordered it. My only feedback for this specific location would be that the broccoli in the beef and broccoli didn't seem very good. I did get the veggie side and the broccoli in there was so much better and fresher. I spit out some of the broccoli pieces from the beef and broccoli. My complaint to the company would be that the veggie side is only cabbage and broccoli. I think they could offer some additional vegetables to make this vegetable side more desirable and a really viable option. My other complaint would be that there really aren't many healthy options at this restaurant. I'm currently doing weight watchers and my lunch was still fairly high in calories and I chose their lowest fat meat options. I think my experience at this location was good enough to eat here again. I like the portion sizes I saw given to other customers but of course, I thought my serving looked a little smaller.

I usually like Panda Express quiet a lot. This time the food was over cooked and fibrous. The broccoli was like eating straw and the orange chicken was crusty and dry
