About Panda Express

Located at 5720 Cottle Rd #30 in San Jose, California, Panda Express is a well-known chain operating within the Chinese Restaurant category, offering a fast-casual dining experience with a variety of American-Chinese dishes. Based on recent online customer reviews specific to this location, there appear to be some concerns regarding order accuracy, food preparation, and customer service that local users should be aware of.

Regarding the environment of this Panda Express location, the provided reviews do not offer any specific details about the physical space, cleanliness, or overall ambiance of the restaurant. As a chain establishment, Panda Express typically features a fast-casual setup with a service counter where customers can select their dishes cafeteria-style. However, without specific comments related to this San Jose location's environment, it is not possible to provide a detailed description. Local users may have a general expectation based on their experiences with other Panda Express locations, but the specifics of this particular restaurant are not elucidated in the provided feedback.

The service at this Panda Express location appears to be a point of concern, despite one reviewer mentioning that "customer service improved." This positive note is immediately followed by "But still terrible," indicating a significant level of dissatisfaction remains. Another reviewer recounted an issue where they ordered chicken fried rice but received chow mein without any prior warning or offered solutions, leading to them being "left without my money and without lunch" due to their inability to eat chow mein. This suggests a lack of attention to order accuracy and potentially poor handling of customer complaints. Such experiences can significantly impact a customer's perception of the restaurant's reliability and commitment to customer satisfaction.

The food quality at this Panda Express location also received mixed to negative feedback in the recent reviews. One customer who ordered a large box of Chow Mein reported that a significant portion, approximately "1/4 of the damn box," was filled with cabbage. They expressed frustration at having to manually remove the excessive amount of cabbage from their noodles, suggesting a lack of quality control in the preparation of this dish. The reviewer speculated that it might have been the end of a batch behind the counter, implying a potential disregard for serving a consistent and properly proportioned product, even if it meant including a large amount of a less desirable filler like cabbage.

Another aspect of the food that received criticism was the fried rice, which one reviewer described as "a little over cooked." Overcooked fried rice can have an undesirable texture, potentially being dry or hard. This suggests a potential inconsistency in the cooking process for this staple dish. While the reviewer mentioned that "everything else was decent," this vague statement does not provide specific positive feedback on other menu items, and the issues with the chow mein and fried rice are significant concerns.

Features of Panda Express as a chain typically include a standardized menu with popular American-Chinese dishes like Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, and various noodle and rice options. The fast-casual service model allows for quick meal assembly and takeout. However, the reviews specific to this San Jose location do not highlight any unique features or menu items that set it apart. The focus of the feedback is primarily on issues with order accuracy and the quality of some of the standard offerings.

Currently, the provided customer reviews do not contain any specific information about ongoing promotions or special offers at this Panda Express location. As a national chain, Panda Express often has various promotions and limited-time offers that may be available. Local users interested in learning about any discounts, family meal deals, or new menu items are encouraged to check the official Panda Express website or app, or to inquire directly at the store by phone at (408) 362-9239 or +1 408-362-9239. Additionally, checking in-store signage or third-party food delivery platforms might reveal current promotions specific to this location or the chain in general.

In conclusion, the recent customer reviews for the Panda Express located at 5720 Cottle Rd #30 in San Jose indicate potential issues with order accuracy, food quality (specifically regarding excessive cabbage in the chow mein and overcooked fried rice), and inconsistent customer service. While one reviewer noted an improvement in customer service, they still rated it as "terrible," and another experienced a complete order mix-up without a resolution. The feedback suggests that local users might encounter inconsistencies in their experience at this particular location. While Panda Express is a well-known and generally popular chain, these specific reviews raise concerns about the quality and service at this San Jose branch. Potential customers may want to consider these recent experiences when deciding whether to dine at or order from this Panda Express location and perhaps monitor more recent reviews for any signs of improvement.

I ordered chicken fried rice and they sent me what they wanted without warning! They don't give solutions, I'm left without my money and without lunch because I can't eat chow mein! a total lack of respect.

I ordered a large box of Chow Mein, & 1/4 of the damn box was filled with cabbage. I personally had to hand pick it all out of my noodles. I know it was the end of the bowl behind the counter but people common. Panda please be better then this. Chill the hell out on the cabbage. Im gona be picking it out of my damn teeth for weeks. Everything else was decent. The fried rice was a little over cooked. Customer service improved. But still terrible.

Pretty tight with the "Premium entrées" Out of multiple other entrees I ordered. Food was Fresh and Delicious otherwise. Service wasn't great but wasn't bad overall. Atmosphere was lacking, seating was minimal in more ways than one. More of a takeout location.

This location sucks. I always order online because I like to get rangoons, which they NEVER have ready on the line when I come in. Today I ordered them and they were burnt as hell. The brown rice was also chewy and gross. So undercooked I couldn't even eat it. On top of the numerous times I got my online orders wrong, this was the last straw.

Even though it was super busy when I came in this evening, they were super helpful & friendly when it was my turn. Waited in line with all the people not even complaining, 20min. But it didn't even feel like a long time, we were consistently moving. They weren't having any food shortages either! It was a good night, tonight!
