About Panda Express

Panda Express, located at 153 Cochran St #320 in Simi Valley, CA, is a well-known chain of Chinese restaurants offering a variety of familiar American-Chinese dishes. As a platform category Chinese Restaurant, this location provides accessible and quick service for individuals seeking a fast and convenient meal. Based on recent customer feedback, we can gather insights into the environment, services, and features of this particular Panda Express branch.

One customer who visited during lunchtime found the location to be conveniently situated near their workplace, prompting their visit due to issues with another restaurant's app. They noted that parking was available, albeit in a "limited small lot," suggesting that parking might become challenging during peak hours due to the restaurant's apparent popularity. The reviewer also observed that the restaurant was already busy during their lunchtime visit, indicating that this Panda Express location experiences significant customer traffic.

Regarding the dining options, this customer opted for the plate combination, selecting chow mein as their base and Beijing Beef and Kung Pao Chicken as their two entrées. They also purchased a small drink. This showcases the typical ordering format at Panda Express, allowing customers to choose a base, entrées, and beverages. The reviewer specifically commended the employee who served them, stating that she was "nice" and ensured a "decent portion" of the entrées were provided. This suggests a positive interaction with the service staff.

The Simi Valley Panda Express offers both indoor and outdoor seating options, providing customers with a choice of where to enjoy their meals. However, the reviewer chose to take their order to go and eat at their office, highlighting the convenience of Panda Express for takeout. A notable feature mentioned was the availability of cherry coke as a fountain drink option, which the customer appreciated. Additionally, they were pleased to find Sriracha sauce available, catering to those who prefer a spicy condiment.

In contrast to the positive aspects of service and beverage selection, another customer reported a significantly negative experience with the food. This reviewer stated that they "usually don’t like rating places with a 1 star" but felt compelled to do so because the "Food wasn’t that great." They further detailed experiencing "stomach bloating and cramps" after eating at this Panda Express. This raises concerns about the food quality and potential preparation standards.

Despite their dissatisfaction with the food, this second reviewer did acknowledge that "the service was good" and that "the staff was very nice." This echoes the positive service experience mentioned by the first reviewer, suggesting that the customer service at this location might be a relative strength.

However, the second reviewer raised a serious concern regarding food safety and hygiene. They mentioned reading a previous review (not provided in the given information) where someone reportedly found hair in their food. While they expressed hope that this was not the reason for their own stomach issues, the fact that they considered this possibility indicates a potential underlying concern about the kitchen's hygiene practices. This is a critical aspect for any food establishment and warrants attention.

Considering the two provided reviews, we see a mixed picture of the Panda Express in Simi Valley. On the one hand, the location appears to be conveniently accessible, offers friendly service with decent portion sizes, and provides some appreciated beverage and condiment options. On the other hand, there are significant concerns raised about the food quality, with one customer experiencing adverse physical reactions after eating there, and a potential underlying issue with hygiene suggested by a reference to a previous complaint about hair in the food.

For local users in Simi Valley considering Panda Express at this location, it is important to weigh these contrasting experiences. If convenience, friendly service, and specific beverage options like cherry coke are priorities, this might be a suitable choice. However, the serious concerns raised about food quality and potential hygiene issues should also be carefully considered. Potential customers might want to look for more recent reviews on various platforms to get a broader understanding of the current customer experience at this particular Panda Express.

As a well-established chain, Panda Express typically has standardized menus and operational procedures. However, the experiences at individual locations can vary. The feedback for this Simi Valley branch highlights the importance of considering location-specific reviews. Without further information on promotional offers or unique features of this specific Panda Express, the primary factors for local users to consider are convenience, service, and the reported inconsistencies in food quality and potential hygiene concerns.

I stopped by here today during lunch time to get food. I wanted something else but their app was having issues so I decided to go to Panda Express since it was near my work office. I found parking easily in their limited small lot. I can tell that this Panda Express get busy because there was already people inside. I went with the plate option chow mein and my 2 entrée was Beijing Beef & Kung Pao Chicken. I also got a small drink as well. The lady loading my food was nice and she made sure to give me a decent portion of the entrée. They have some tables to eat inside and outside as well but I took it to go to eat in the office. I'm happy that this place has cherry coke as an option for the fountain drink and they had Sriracha as well for the sauce.

I usually don’t like rating places with a 1 star but their Food wasn’t that great, I had stomach bloating and cramps after eaten there! The service was good, they staff was very nice just that the cook or the preparation of the food wasn’t cooked properly. Also, I read, that someone had hair in there food, I’m hoping that wasn’t the case the reason why I’m having stomach issues now?

i ordered the bigger plate on 6/18 and once my food got delivered i noticed the drink was spilled on the bag and sauce was all over my plate, i didn’t really care about that until i opened my plate and saw there was hair on my broccoli beef. i automatically contacted them but they never got back to me. im so disappointed i wasted $18 on a meal that ended up having hair and was unable to enjoy. very disappointed always check your food!

Panda Express is a familiar sit-down chain that caters to American style Chinese food. The Simi Valley location has been refreshed since last I had been inside, so it has a more open, inviting feel. The food truly is a can't miss, even though it's something that I don't have very often. The mixtures of sweet and spicy are correct. It's usually best to get the two or three plate combo, so you can hey the most amount of food if you have a healthy appetite. It's usually best to go with the half and half and split between fried rice and chow mein. You choose your meats and either get it to go or sit down and eat. Either way, it's a worthwhile lunch/dinner option that I sometimes forget about easily, but is still quality.

Very badly served… small portions compared to what they used to be, the plate is half empty and when I said something they just told me that’s the way the manager wants us to do it. It sucks that in order to save a few cents the quality and service are getting so bad.
