Whether you're looking to dine in, take your meal to go, or utilize their mobile app for convenient ordering, Panda Express aims to provide accessible and satisfying Chinese food options for the local Foster City community.

Based on customer feedback, the environment at Panda Express is typically what you would expect from a fast-food establishment. The focus is on functionality and efficiency to serve customers quickly, especially during peak hours. While specific details about the ambiance are not extensively described in the provided reviews, it's reasonable to anticipate a casual and bustling atmosphere geared towards rapid service.

In terms of services, Panda Express offers several options to cater to different customer needs. They provide in-store dining for those who wish to eat their meal on-site. Takeout service is also a significant aspect of their operation, allowing customers to enjoy their favorite dishes at home or elsewhere. Notably, they offer mobile app ordering, as highlighted in one of the reviews. This feature enables customers to place their orders in advance for pickup, adding a layer of convenience to their experience. However, as one customer pointed out, it's essential to double-check the order accuracy when using this method.

The core feature of Panda Express lies in its diverse menu of Chinese-inspired dishes. They are particularly known for their combination plates, where customers can select a base (such as fried rice or chow mein) and a variety of entrées. Popular entrée choices include the iconic Orange Chicken, a sweet and tangy battered chicken dish, and Chicken with String Beans, offering a savory and slightly healthier option. Other frequently mentioned items include honey walnut shrimp, praised for its deliciousness, and broccoli beef, a favorite among some patrons. The menu also typically features a selection of stir-fried dishes and fountain sodas to complement your meal.

Customer reviews provide valuable insights into the food quality and service at this particular Foster City location. One reviewer mentioned that the fried rice was "pretty plain and dry," while the chow mein was considered "good." This suggests a potential inconsistency in some of the side dishes. However, the positive feedback regarding the honey walnut shrimp and broccoli beef indicates that certain signature entrées are well-received. It's worth noting that portion sizes and order accuracy can sometimes be an issue, as one customer experienced discrepancies with their mobile app order, missing an item and receiving an imbalanced plate.

On the other hand, another review commended the quick service, especially considering the potential for long lines. The staff was described as "skillful in scooping the food into plates" and proactive in ensuring customers received their complete orders before payment. This highlights that despite some inconsistencies, there are instances of efficient and attentive service at this location.

A notable feature mentioned in the reviews is the complimentary fortune cookies provided with each order. This small touch adds a bit of fun and tradition to the Panda Express experience.

ordered through the mobile app at 9 pm for pick up at 10. ordered a plate: half fried rice, half chow mein, orange chicken and chicken with strings beans. picked up the order but it was in a small bowl. didn't think too much since I had to go home. when I opened it they just threw all the food together, the portions were off-more chow mein than rice and I didn't get the orange chicken! if they had ran out of it they should have told me. service at this location is getting bad.

Chinese fast food chains of rice. Basically fried rice, chow mein and stir fried dishes, and fountain sodas. The service was pretty quick considering the line. The staff was skillful in scooping the food into plates. They always asked anything else to mane sure you got all orders before payments. We ordered 2 plates (2 entrees and 1 side each). The fried rice was pretty plain and dry, but chow mein was good. I personally liked their shrimps, especially honey walnut shrimps. My husband, on the other hand, preferred the broccoli beef. Overall, except the fried rice, the rest were delicious. Oh, and they give free fortune cookies per orders.

I went in there and got a plate with chow mein, white rice, broccoli beef, and chicken teriyaki. I asked if they could change the broccoli beef because I saw that the bowl was basically empty and they said no because it’s already in the plate. The employee was rude and food was cold.

They’ve decided to charge the same or more even though the portions are much smaller. Also, they’re using a lot of filler ingredients like cabbage and celery in the noodles. The honey walnut shrimp didn’t taste as good as it does at other locations even though it comes in a big frozen bag. Staff were doing the best they could with the long lines. Serving staff wore masks but not the cooks.

In person i saw an employee eating their lunch inside the kitchen and did not appear to wash their hands afterwards. Also experienced a 15+ minute wait time for eggplant and tofu.
