About Panda Express

Located at 18080 Chatsworth St #b in Granada Hills, California, Panda Express is part of a widely recognized chain of Chinese fast-food restaurants offering a variety of American Chinese cuisine. As a familiar option in the Chinese restaurant category, Panda Express typically provides a quick and convenient way for individuals in the San Fernando Valley to access Chinese-inspired dishes.

The environment of a Panda Express in Granada Hills, consistent with the chain's general design, likely features a service counter with displayed food items, allowing customers to quickly choose their entrees and sides. The ambiance is usually functional and geared towards efficient service, with seating available for those who wish to dine on-site. The focus is generally on speed and accessibility for customers seeking a fast meal.

Panda Express is known for its standardized menu, which includes popular dishes such as the Original Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Chow Mein, and fried rice. The service model involves customers selecting their desired combinations, which are then quickly assembled and served. This approach is designed for convenience and speed, catering to individuals and families looking for a fast-food option.

However, recent customer reviews for this specific Panda Express location in Granada Hills present some concerns regarding the quality and value of the food. One customer expressed surprise at a perceived decline in food quality compared to a recent visit just a month or two prior. They noted that the food tasted bland, lacking the flavor typically associated even with leftovers, leading them to believe there had been a significant change in quality over a short period.

Another review highlighted the issue of "shrinkflation," a phenomenon where the size of products decreases while the price remains the same or even increases. This customer stated that across multiple Panda Express locations, including this one, the portion sizes appeared to have decreased, with plates getting smaller while prices have risen. They expressed the opinion that the meals are no longer worth the cost, citing stinginess with protein portions, such as receiving only "3-4 small pieces of chicken" with the rest of the plate filled with rice and vegetables. This feedback suggests a potential issue with the value proposition offered at this Granada Hills location.

The limited customer feedback available paints a picture of potential inconsistency in food quality and concerns about portion sizes relative to price. While Panda Express as a chain is known for its accessibility and familiar flavors, these recent reviews indicate that the experience at this particular Granada Hills location may not always meet expectations. The comments about bland food and reduced protein portions are important for local users to consider when making dining choices.

As a large chain, Panda Express often engages in promotional activities and may offer deals or special menu items. However, no specific promotional information for the Granada Hills location is provided in the given data. In conclusion, the Panda Express located at 18080 Chatsworth St #b in Granada Hills is a part of a well-known American Chinese fast-food chain. While generally offering convenience and familiar menu items, recent customer reviews for this specific location raise concerns about potential inconsistencies in food quality and a perceived decrease in portion sizes for the price. I was kind of surprised because I've purchased Panda Express from this location maybe a month or two ago and it wasn't bad at all it was actually good. This time it just tasted like it had been sitting even if I eat like leftovers or anything like that it has flavor this really seemed bland. It really made me think about writing a review becauseI was kind of shocked at like the change in quality just from a month or two ago.

Shrinkflation is real… it’s not just this panda, but almost all I’ve gone to aren’t worth it. The plates got smaller and the price only increased. You don’t get much for what you pay for. They are stingy with their protein for example only get 3-4 small pieces of chicken and the rest they just fill up with rice and veggies 👎🏻

I am very upset whoever ran today’s 8 PM shift July 19, 2024. I had made a purchase of two plates in the past and ordered beef broccoli when I got home I opened my plate and saw there was only broccoli in my plate. I then called the store and the team member advised to come back to get one free small side. But Did never inform me that it would expire. I came to the store today and the manager on duty who is wearing black said that it expired. I’m just upset that she didn’t want to redeem my one small free side order and was never told on the phone that it expires. The manager also looked like she was getting upset. I’m more upset that I wasn’t granted my free small side since they made a mistake on my order in the past. This location needs to learn how to build relationships with their customers because I won’t be going there anymore to purchase any of my food. It’s more of the principal versus the one free small side that they could’ve provided to satisfy a customer.

Not often I pick up food from this location, but each time I do, food portions are getting less and less and then less....I order two plates and the portions are similar the bowl servings. I guess I'm going to get the bowl from now on, if I go. UGH!!!
