About Panda Express
Panda Express, located at 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd, Hayward, CA 94542, USA, is part of a well-known chain of Chinese restaurants offering a variety of American Chinese dishes in a fast-food setting. Easily accessible by phone at (510) 885-4733 or mobile at +1 510-885-4733, this Hayward branch provides a convenient option for those seeking quick and familiar Chinese-inspired meals.
While Panda Express is a widely recognized brand, recent customer reviews for this specific Hayward location provide some insights into the dining experience that potential local users may encounter. It's important to consider these perspectives when deciding if this restaurant meets your expectations for a Chinese fast-food meal.
One recurring theme in the feedback is related to serving sizes. A customer reported receiving "small servings," which might be a concern for individuals looking for a more substantial meal. This is an important factor for local users to consider, especially if value for money in terms of quantity is a priority.
Another aspect of the dining experience highlighted in the reviews concerns staff interaction. One customer mentioned that the staff "starts staring when you are ordering." This type of behavior could potentially create an uncomfortable or unwelcoming atmosphere for diners. Positive and attentive customer service plays a significant role in the overall dining experience, and this feedback suggests a potential area for improvement at this location.
Furthermore, the same reviewer who mentioned the small servings also criticized the quality of the chow mein, stating that it "consists mainly of cabbage and barely any noodles." Chow mein is a popular and expected dish at many American Chinese restaurants, and a disproportionate amount of cabbage compared to noodles could be disappointing for customers seeking a more traditional preparation of this dish.
Another customer shared a negative experience regarding the provision of sauces. They recounted an instance where, despite purchasing a bowl and a side of crab rangoons, they were only given one sauce packet. Their request for an additional packet was refused, even when they offered to pay for it. This policy regarding condiments could be perceived as "stingy" and might detract from the overall satisfaction of the meal, particularly for items like crab rangoons that are commonly enjoyed with dipping sauces.
The most recent feedback available indicates a potential issue with the balance of ingredients in the meals. One customer stated that during their most recent visit, they "basically gave me a bowl of rice." This suggests a significant lack of the main dish components relative to the amount of rice served, which could leave customers feeling that they did not receive a complete or satisfactory meal for their purchase.
Considering these recent customer reviews, local users in Hayward should be aware of potential issues regarding serving sizes, staff demeanor during ordering, the composition of dishes like chow mein, and the restaurant's policy on providing condiments. While Panda Express is known for its convenience and certain signature dishes like orange chicken (which was not specifically mentioned in these reviews), the feedback for this particular location raises concerns about value, food quality in certain areas, and customer service.
It is important to note that these reviews represent individual experiences and may not be representative of every customer's interaction with this Panda Express location. However, as a local user considering this Chinese restaurant, it would be prudent to weigh these recent observations against the general convenience and familiarity of the Panda Express brand. If consistent portion sizes, attentive and welcoming service, well-balanced dishes, and reasonable condiment policies are important factors in your dining choices, you may want to consider these points before deciding to patronize this specific Hayward branch.
As there is no information provided regarding the environment of the restaurant (such as cleanliness, ambiance, or seating arrangements), any specific services beyond the standard fast-food model (like catering or online ordering specific to this branch), any unique features of this location, or any current promotional offers, local users will need to rely on their own observations or seek additional information from other sources if these aspects are important to their decision-making process. The available information focuses primarily on the food and service aspects as experienced by recent customers.

Small servings, staff starts staring when you are ordering. Replace staff and get better serving size. Also their chow main consists mainly of cabbage and barely any noodles
Hella stingy here. Last time I came I bought a bowl and side of crab rangoons, they only let me have one sauce packet and refused to give me another, even if I offered to buy extra sauce. Most recent visit they basically gave me a bowl of rice.
I went in to get some food. It was good, but the guy over there asked me if it was okay to charge me 1.50 dollars extra for the extra honey walnut shrimp and then I said, “can you waive it please if you don’t mind”, then he gave me attitude and said “no we have to charge you 1.50 for that honey walnut shrimp”. It’s like bro what is up with your attitude and second why are you gonna ask me if it is okay that you’re gonna charge me that much if you’re gonna tell me right after that you’re gonna just do it. It doesn’t make sense dude! If you’re gonna charge me anyway then just say that you are gonna charge me and get it over with bro!
The first time I tried this place i got a plate with chicken noodles and beef and the beef was MOLDY. never go here
The Panda is inside the campus area close to bookstore. Inside the area there's Subway.
