About Panda Express

Welcome to Panda Express, a well-known Chinese restaurant conveniently located at 6031 Calhoun Memorial Hwy in Easley, South Carolina. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, Panda Express offers a familiar and accessible option for those seeking a quick and convenient meal featuring popular American Chinese dishes. With a focus on providing a variety of flavorful entrees and sides, Panda Express aims to cater to a broad range of tastes.

Based on recent customer feedback, experiences at the Easley location of Panda Express appear to be somewhat varied. One customer, introducing their mother to the restaurant for the first time, noted the generous portion sizes of dishes like the orange chicken and shrimp. They also mentioned that while the flavors were generally delightful, the level of heat in the protein dishes was surprisingly intense, leading to an overwhelming spiciness that both individuals experienced. This customer, who had eaten at Panda Express previously without encountering such spiciness, suggested that this might be a recent change. This experience highlights a potential characteristic of some dishes at this location – a significant level of spiciness that may be noteworthy for those sensitive to heat.

In contrast, another customer reported having visited the restaurant a few times over the past couple of months without encountering any issues. This suggests that consistent positive experiences are also possible at this location. Additionally, another review simply mentioned ordering a bowl with teriyaki chicken and chow mein, indicating a standard order without specific commentary on the quality or any issues.

However, another concerning review detailed a significantly negative experience. This customer reported finding a "huge piece of hard plastic" at the bottom of their bowl containing teriyaki chicken and chow mein. Understandably, this was described as a "traumatizing" and "upsetting" discovery. The customer explicitly stated the intention to contact corporate regarding this incident, emphasizing the seriousness and reality of their claim. This review raises concerns about food safety and quality control at this particular Panda Express location.

Given the mixed nature of these recent reviews, it is challenging to provide a definitive overview of the environment and typical service at this specific Panda Express in Easley based solely on this limited information. Panda Express restaurants generally follow a fast-casual model, where customers typically order at a counter and then either dine in a casual seating area or take their food to go. The focus is usually on efficiency and quick service to accommodate those looking for a convenient meal option.

The features of Panda Express as a chain typically include a display of their most popular dishes, allowing customers to see their options before ordering. Popular menu items often include the Original Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Black Pepper Chicken, Beijing Beef, and a variety of chow mein, fried rice, and steamed rice options. They also offer appetizers like spring rolls and cream cheese rangoon. The ability to customize your meal with a combination of entrees and sides is a standard feature.

While some customers have reported no issues, it is advisable for potential diners to be aware of the recent mixed feedback. For the most up-to-date information on the menu, hours, and any ongoing promotions, contacting the restaurant directly is recommended.

I decided to introduce my mom to Panda Express since she had never been there before. I chose a bowl with orange chicken and white rice, while she opted for a plate featuring both orange chicken and shrimp, which were generously portioned. The flavors were delightful, but my main complaint was the level of heat in the dishes! The protein was quite spicy, and although we both enjoy a bit of heat, it felt overwhelming at times. I’m not sure if this is a recent change, as I’ve eaten at Panda Express before without encountering such intensity, but we both ended up sweating from the spiciness.

I been here a few times last couple months and no issues. I got a bowl teriyaki chicken and chow mein. Only to see a huge piece of hard plastic on the bottom of my bowl. So traumatizing. Hard black piece of plastic. I plan to email corporate. I would never make this up this is very real and upsetting.

I hadn’t eaten here in quite some time and since I was out and about I just had to stop in. I was very disappointed with the food. I had placed and online order about 45 mins after they had opened so I assumed that all the food would be freshly prepared but sadly it wasn’t. - very dry noodles - over use of onion and what I believe to be celery - some parts of the chicken were cold others were extremely hot - the service wasn’t terrible but it was the best - over all the food didn’t look fresh looked to be about 2-3 days old - the chicken was very gummy I can say the only decent part of the whole meal was the rice.
