About Panda Express

Panda Express is a Chinese restaurant located within the Brea Mall at 2158 Brea Mall in Brea, California. As a well-known chain within the Chinese Restaurant category, Panda Express offers a fast-casual dining experience featuring American Chinese cuisine. Situated inside a busy shopping mall, this location provides a convenient option for shoppers and mall visitors looking for a quick and familiar meal.

For inquiries, the Brea Mall location of Panda Express can be contacted at the phone number (714) 255-8160 or their mobile number +1 714-255-8160. These contact details can be used to ask about their menu, hours of operation within the mall, or any specific services they might offer, such as takeout for mall patrons.

Customer reviews for this particular Panda Express location at Brea Mall present some significant concerns regarding both customer service and food quality. One reviewer described their experience as "very very badddd customer service," specifically mentioning a staff member they believed to be the manager. This reviewer alleged rude behavior, small portion sizes, and a negative reaction when they asked for more food. They also claimed that this staff member, a "black uniform lady" (as indicated in a picture they took), refused to provide her name. Most alarmingly, this reviewer reported finding metal in their child's food and advised others to "check twice." This is a serious allegation concerning food safety and quality control.

Another reviewer also expressed dissatisfaction with a specific menu item, stating that the chow mein was "trash," tasting bland and oily, and that they had experienced better elsewhere. However, this reviewer found the orange chicken to be "pretty good." Based on this mixed experience, they gave the restaurant a 2-star rating, primarily due to the orange chicken. This reviewer also mentioned an unusual encounter with a lady asking for money for her baby within the restaurant premises, which they found perplexing in the context of a Panda Express establishment.

As a franchise, Panda Express is known for its standardized menu of American Chinese dishes. Popular items typically include Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Sweet Fire Chicken Breast, and various chow mein and fried rice options. They offer a build-your-own plate format where customers can select a base (such as rice or noodles) and one or more entrees. Appetizers like spring rolls and cream cheese rangoon are also commonly available. However, the reviews for this Brea Mall location highlight potential issues with the preparation and quality of some of these standard items, such as the chow mein, and raise serious concerns about food safety.

Regarding the environment of this Panda Express location, being situated within the Brea Mall, it likely follows the typical fast-food layout common in shopping centers. This usually includes a service counter where customers place their orders and can view the available dishes, along with a seating area within the mall's food court or potentially a dedicated space for the restaurant. The focus is generally on quick service and convenience for shoppers. The cleanliness of the food preparation area and dining space would be important factors, especially given the serious food safety allegation in one of the reviews.

In terms of services, this Panda Express location primarily offers takeout for mall shoppers who wish to eat elsewhere in the mall or take their food home. Dine-in service is also available within the food court or the restaurant's seating area, if provided. Drive-thru service is unlikely given its location inside a shopping mall. Delivery services might be available through third-party delivery apps, but this would need to be confirmed by checking with those services or inquiring directly with the restaurant.

Features of Panda Express as a brand include its fast service model and consistent menu. However, the reviews for this Brea Mall location suggest potential deviations from these expected standards. The negative feedback regarding rude customer service, small portions, and, most concerningly, the alleged presence of metal in the food, are significant issues that would deter potential customers. While one reviewer found the orange chicken to be a redeeming feature, the overall sentiment leans towards dissatisfaction. The unusual incident of someone soliciting money within the restaurant also raises questions about the management and security of the premises.

Promotional information is not provided in the given text. Panda Express as a chain frequently offers various promotions, such as seasonal menu items, online ordering discounts, and family meal deals. To find out about any current promotions at the Brea Mall location, customers would need to check the Panda Express website, their mobile app, or look for any advertised offers within the mall or at the restaurant itself. However, given the serious negative feedback in the reviews, potential customers might prioritize addressing the food safety and service concerns before considering any promotions.

In conclusion, the Panda Express located within the Brea Mall in Brea, CA, offers standard American Chinese fast-casual cuisine. However, recent customer reviews raise significant red flags concerning very poor customer service, potentially small portion sizes, and a serious allegation of finding metal in a child's food. While one reviewer found the orange chicken to be acceptable, the overall feedback suggests a problematic experience at this particular location. Potential customers should be aware of these recent reports and may want to exercise caution. For any inquiries about their menu or services, the restaurant can be contacted at (714) 255-8160 or +1 714-255-8160. Given the severity of the issues raised in the reviews, it would be advisable for the management to address these concerns promptly to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.

The service was quick and attentive. But the portion sizes were smaller than normal. I never get a 3/4 scoop of orange chicken anywhere else. And the amount of rice and chow mein was 20% less as well. Bummer.

Bad customer service. The young Mexican kid with curly hair works like he hates being there. Please don't hire idiots like him or at least teach him how to behave like a normal human being
