About Panda Express

Panda Express, located at 6774 Bernal Ave Suite 330 in Pleasanton, California (94588, USA), is a well-known chain of Chinese restaurants that specializes in offering American Chinese cuisine in a fast-food setting. Situated in Pleasanton, this particular location provides a convenient option for locals seeking quick and familiar Chinese-inspired dishes. You can reach this branch at (925) 249-6766 or their mobile number, +1 925-249-6766.

As a widely recognized Chinese Restaurant chain, Panda Express typically offers a standard menu that includes popular items such as chow mein, various fried rice options, and a selection of entrees like orange chicken, broccoli beef, and Kung Pao chicken, often served in a cafeteria-style format for quick service. However, recent customer reviews for this Pleasanton location suggest potential inconsistencies in food quality and preparation that local users may want to consider.

One customer reported a negative experience, stating that the chow mein and rice did not taste fresh. This is a significant concern as freshness is a key aspect of palatable food, especially in dishes where these are staple components. Furthermore, this reviewer mentioned ordering "super greens" but receiving broccoli instead, which, while noted to taste fresh, indicates a potential issue with order accuracy or ingredient availability. The same customer also found the broccoli beef and mandarin beef to be unsatisfactory in taste, expressing overall disappointment with their meal, which they described as one of the worst they had experienced at this particular Panda Express. The negative experience was so profound that the customer ultimately discarded the food due to its perceived poor quality, suggesting a severe lapse in standards during their visit.

Another concerning review detailed an evening visit with family during which there were no other customers present. This lack of patronage, while not inherently indicative of quality, coincided with the experience of being served cold food. Receiving cold food, especially dishes that are meant to be served hot, is a significant food safety and quality issue and led this customer to express strong disappointment and a decision not to return to this location in the future. This isolated incident, if reflective of broader issues, could deter potential local customers.

Based on these recent reviews, it is difficult to ascertain the typical environment and service standards at this specific Panda Express in Pleasanton. The absence of other commentary on these aspects leaves a gap in understanding the overall dining experience beyond the food itself. Typically, Panda Express restaurants are designed for efficiency and quick service, with a casual and family-friendly atmosphere. Customers usually order at a counter and select their dishes to be assembled. However, the provided reviews focus solely on the food quality and temperature.

Regarding features, Panda Express generally offers a consistent menu across its locations, emphasizing convenience and speed. The ability to see the food before ordering is a standard feature of their service model. They often have promotional offers, though none were mentioned in the provided reviews specific to this Pleasanton location. It is common for Panda Express to offer online ordering and delivery services through their own platform or third-party apps, but this is not confirmed in the given information for this particular branch.

Given the limited and negative recent feedback, it is challenging to recommend this specific Panda Express location in Pleasanton without reservation. The reports of non-fresh chow mein and rice, incorrect orders, poorly tasting entrees, and cold food are significant red flags for potential customers. While these could be isolated incidents, they warrant caution. Local users might want to consider these recent experiences when deciding whether to dine at this Panda Express or explore other Chinese restaurant options in the Pleasanton area that have more consistently positive recent reviews.

It is important to note that these reviews represent individual experiences at a specific point in time and may not be indicative of the restaurant's overall long-term performance. However, for local users seeking a reliable and enjoyable Chinese fast food experience, it would be prudent to look for more current and consistently positive feedback before choosing this Panda Express location. If you do decide to visit, it might be wise to check the freshness and temperature of your food before leaving the premises to ensure a satisfactory meal.

The chow mein and rice did not taste fresh. I ordered super greens and got broccoli which did taste fresh. Broccoli beef, mandarin beef wasn't that great tasting either. Normally not too bad but as far as the order for today 😕 not good at all. This was one of the worst meals I've had at this panda express. Maybe it's a bad cook that's working at this location. Matter of fact I just threw the food away cause the quality was horrible.

Extremely good value for adequate or slightly better Chinese food. Ordering ahead on the app usually helps you avoid the long wait to order.

Has anyone noticed or it just me??? The food containers keep getting smaller and smaller at Panda Express. The portions are also getting smaller, too. I asked another server to plz add a little more fried rice. Becoming a rip-off. These employees think they own the place 🙄
