About Panda Express

Welcome to Panda Express, a well-known Chinese restaurant located at 119 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue, WA 98004, USA. As a familiar name in the Chinese Restaurant category, Panda Express offers a convenient and accessible option for those seeking American Chinese fast food. This particular location in Bellevue provides a range of their popular dishes, catering to individuals looking for a quick and affordable meal.

One customer, a frequent visitor to Panda Express but a first-timer at this Bellevue location, opted for a "healthier" choice, selecting mixed greens with teriyaki chicken and broccoli beef. Their initial impression was surprisingly positive, describing the meal as "solid." This suggests that even within the fast-food context, Panda Express can offer satisfying options.

However, the same reviewer also provided specific feedback on areas for improvement. They found the broccoli in their dish to be undercooked and hard to bite through, suggesting that better cooking and potentially some seasoning could significantly enhance this component of the meal. This was particularly notable as the meal consisted primarily of broccoli. On a more positive note, they appreciated the generous portion size of the mixed greens, which filled the entire bowl.

The highlight of this particular meal was the quality of the meats. The customer found the beef to be "super tender and really flavorful," even surprisingly soft and juicy for a fast-food establishment, comparing it favorably to beef they'd had at more upscale restaurants. The teriyaki chicken was also noted for being "impressively juicy with a great exterior." A suggestion for the chicken was to cut it into smaller, more manageable pieces, especially given the plastic utensils typically provided at fast-food restaurants, with a recommendation for the inclusion of plastic knives.

Regarding the sauce, the customer acknowledged its presence and ability to coat the broccoli but felt the teriyaki sauce lacked the expected sweetness, tasting more like a general "wetness" with a hint of soy sauce rather than a distinct teriyaki flavor. This indicates a potential inconsistency or a different interpretation of the classic teriyaki taste at this location.

Despite these points of critique, the reviewer found the overall value to be quite good, noting that for a price of around $10, the portion size was "pretty excellent." They also drew a comparison to the possibility of getting a large bowl of noodles with popular items like orange chicken and honey shrimp for the same price, highlighting the affordability and generous portions that Panda Express is often known for.

Overall, this customer rated their experience an 8/10, finding the meat quality surprisingly good for the price, despite some shortcomings with the vegetables and sauce.

Another review from a customer who visited on a Sunday around lunchtime painted a different picture, focusing on the service efficiency. They described a queue out the door and characterized the service as "very inefficient." The reviewer specifically commended one employee, Alexa, for seemingly handling the majority (90%) of the tasks, including scooping food, taking orders, and working hard, while another employee was primarily handling payments and a third was on lunch. This feedback strongly suggests that during peak hours, this Bellevue location of Panda Express may experience staffing or process issues that can lead to slow service and long wait times.

A brief, separate comment simply stated that the "Food was OK," providing a more neutral assessment without specific details. This suggests that the food quality can be perceived differently by various customers, with some finding it surprisingly good for the price and others finding it merely satisfactory.

In conclusion, the Panda Express at 119 Bellevue Way NE offers a familiar range of American Chinese fast food. While one customer found the meat quality to be a highlight and the portion sizes generous for the price, there were criticisms regarding the preparation and seasoning of vegetables, as well as the flavor profile of the teriyaki sauce. Additionally, another customer reported significant issues with service efficiency during a busy period, indicating potential inconsistencies in the overall customer experience.

For local users in Bellevue looking for a quick and affordable American Chinese meal, Panda Express remains a readily accessible option. However, potential customers might want to be aware of the varying feedback regarding food preparation and service efficiency, particularly during peak times. As a well-established chain, Panda Express generally offers a consistent menu, but individual location performance can vary. For specific inquiries about menu items or current promotions, you can contact this Bellevue location directly at (425) 454-8289 or +1 425-454-8289. While no specific promotional information was mentioned in the provided reviews, Panda Express often features limited-time offers and seasonal dishes, which may be worth inquiring about.

I’ve been to Panda Express a good amount of times, but this was my first time at this location. I decided to opt for a healthy option this time and got mixed greens with teriyaki chicken and broccoli beef. This actually surprised me at how solid it was. I thought the base could’ve been better, as the broccoli tasted a bit undercooked, and was kind of hard to bite through. If it was cooked for longer, and seasoned with literally anything, I think this dish could’ve been significantly improved. This was especially the case since this meal ends up just being mostly broccoli. I do love the portion size of the greens though, as it basically fills up the whole bowl. The best part of this meal were the meats, however My favorite of the two was the beef, as it was super tender and really flavorful. I thought it was surprisingly soft and juicy coming from a fast food place, especially since I’ve had way worse beef in much fancier restaurants. I also thought the chicken was impressively juicy with a great exterior. The one thing I do wish on the chicken was that it was cut into smaller pieces, as it’s just not easy to cut it with the plastic forks they provide. At least provide plastic knives! In terms of the sauce, I liked its presence, as it was able to coat the broccoli, but I did think the teriyaki was missing that sweet flavor which should be present. It tasted more like a sauce that was there to add wetness and slight soy-sauce-ness rather than to impart a distinctive flavor For the price of around $10, this portion size was pretty excellent - especially when you consider that I could’ve gotten a massive bowl of noodles + orange chicken + honey shrimp and it would’ve been the same price as well Overall, I liked this meal and found the meat surprisingly good for the price. 8/10

Came on a Sunday around lunch, queue out the door, very inefficient service, shoutout to Alexa who was doing 90% of the service, scooping food taking orders and working hard while one guy was just doing basically payments and another person was on his lunch. You guys definitely need to sort that out Food was OK

Panda Express offers a quick fix for Chinese-American cuisine cravings, with signature dishes like Orange Chicken and Beijing Beef. The flavors are bold and satisfyingly sweet, though not entirely authentic. Portions are generous, making it a good value for casual dining. While consistency varies by location, it’s a reliable choice for comfort food on the go.

This was a bad experience. Came at 8:20 and was offered whatever was left. 4 options of soggy food, not even orange chicken. They close at 9 but refused to have anything fresh even with plenty of people in line after me. I guess they were in a hurry to close and leave. Then, I was told they couldn't accept cash until a manager intervened. I overpaid for bad food. This ruined Panda Express for me, personally.
