About Panda Express

Welcome to the Panda Express located within the exciting atmosphere of Carowinds, at 3900 Avenue of the Carolinas in Fort Mill, South Carolina (29708), USA. As a well-known name in the Chinese Restaurant category, this Panda Express offers park visitors the familiar and beloved flavors that the chain is famous for. You can reach them at (704) 587-9035 or their mobile number +1 704-587-9035 for any specific inquiries, although being located inside a theme park, their services are primarily geared towards serving park attendees.

Operating as a Chinese Restaurant within a theme park setting presents a unique dining experience. Panda Express is recognized for its quick-service model, allowing guests to enjoy their meals efficiently as they navigate the park's many attractions. The menu typically features a selection of popular American Chinese dishes, such as the iconic Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Broccoli Beef, and a variety of chow mein and fried rice options. This makes it a convenient choice for families and individuals looking for a satisfying and familiar meal during their visit to Carowinds.

According to recent customer reviews, the Panda Express inside Carowinds maintains the food quality that patrons have come to expect from the brand. If you are a fan of Panda Express's signature dishes, you will likely find the offerings here to be consistent with those at their standalone locations. This familiarity can be a significant advantage for those who appreciate knowing what to expect in terms of taste and quality, especially within the often varied culinary landscape of a theme park.

One of the notable advantages of this Panda Express location is its inclusion in Carowinds' dining plans. If you have purchased a Funday Bundle ticket with all-day dining or a regular meal plan offered by the park, this restaurant is a participating vendor. This allows guests who have opted for these plans to enjoy Panda Express meals as part of their package, potentially offering significant value and convenience throughout their day at the park. This feature makes it an attractive option for those looking to maximize their dining benefits while enjoying the park's attractions.

Another positive aspect highlighted in the reviews is the generous portion sizes offered at this location. Theme park food can sometimes be perceived as smaller or less substantial, but according to customer feedback, Panda Express at Carowinds provides portions that are satisfying, ensuring you have enough energy to continue your adventures in the park.

However, as with many food and beverage vendors within theme parks, there are certain considerations regarding pricing. One review notes that beverages, aside from the complimentary cup of water, cost extra, with a mention of a $6 charge for a drink. This is a common practice in theme park environments, where convenience and location often factor into pricing. Guests should be aware of this potential additional cost when planning their meals at Panda Express inside Carowinds.

Another customer echoed the sentiment about pricing, stating that it is "way more expensive than the Panda Express outside." This is an important point for local users who are familiar with the pricing at standalone Panda Express restaurants. The premium in price is likely attributed to the restaurant's location within a popular entertainment destination. However, the reviewer also acknowledges that this premium is "fair" given the context of being inside a park.

Despite the higher prices compared to external locations, the consistent food quality and the option to utilize the park's dining plans make this Panda Express a viable and convenient choice for many Carowinds visitors. Being able to enjoy familiar Chinese-American cuisine without having to leave the park is a significant convenience, allowing guests to maximize their time enjoying the rides and attractions.

In terms of atmosphere, one reviewer succinctly put it as "the food you're used to without the atmosphere," implying that the focus is primarily on providing the standard Panda Express fare rather than a unique or themed dining environment. This is typical for quick-service restaurants within theme parks, where efficiency and convenience are often prioritized over elaborate decor or ambiance.

For local users visiting Carowinds, the Panda Express offers a reliable option for Chinese-American cuisine. Its inclusion in the dining plans can be a significant benefit for those who have purchased them. While the prices may be higher than at standalone locations, this is a common trade-off for the convenience of dining within the park. The consistent food quality and generous portions are also positive aspects to consider.

In conclusion, the Panda Express at 3900 Avenue of the Carolinas, Fort Mill, SC, located inside Carowinds, provides park visitors with the familiar menu and quality of the Panda Express brand. Its participation in the park's dining plans and generous portions are notable advantages. While beverages come at an extra cost and the overall pricing is higher than external locations, the convenience of enjoying this Chinese Restaurant option within the theme park makes it a practical choice for many guests looking for a quick and satisfying meal during their visit.

It's a Panda Express. In a theme park. So, you know, the food you're used to without the atmosphere. Pros: They're part of the dining plan! Whether you bought the Funday Bundle ticket with all-day dining or the actual meal plan, they've got you covered. Also, the portions are generous. If you're a fan of the Panda, it won't disappoint. Cons: Like any theme park restaurant, get ready to fork over about $6 if you want a drink besides the complimentary cup of water.

Definitely way more expensive than the Panda Express outside but it’s in a park so ig it’s fair. Food quality is consistent and u can get small water cups from their cashier to get some water

Interesting things you notice when you travel a lot, and eat at many locations of a franchise. This was the most expensive Panda express in a long while. I'm using up gift cards traveling in NC & SC this week. My usual is orange chicken and walnut shrimp with ( not really very) fried rice. The food was factory fresh? and warm-ish. Only two cars in drive-thru but a huge mess inside... Obviously long lines. Obviously understaffed and didn't appear to be anyone in charge. No Team leader. My bill was $2 more than the menu board ( already high) should have been. I didn't notice until after eating, in my car.... Place was too busy to go in and ask -- why--. Just generally I find the local hole-in-the- wall mom/ pop places have more/ better food. Nothing wrong with what I got, just not great or a reasonable price.

The food was decent but very disappointed that because I didn’t have the dining plan I could not order just the bowl with rice and one entree. Really?? I have to buy the more expense option even if I don’t want that much food. Go somewhere else to spend less money.
