About Panda Express

Welcome to Panda Express, a well-known Chinese restaurant chain with a location at 623 Alta Mere Dr in Fort Worth, Texas. As a prominent establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, this Panda Express offers fast-casual American Chinese cuisine with options for dine-in, takeout, and a drive-thru for added convenience. You can reach this specific branch at (817) 377-0413 or via mobile phone at +1 817-377-0413.

While specific details about the interior environment of this Fort Worth Panda Express are not extensively described, Panda Express restaurants typically feature a clean and brightly lit fast-food setting. The layout usually includes a serving counter where customers can view and select their dishes, along with a casual dining area for those eating on-site. The presence of a drive-thru indicates an additional focus on providing quick service for customers on the go.

The services offered at this Panda Express include dine-in, takeout, and drive-thru. The drive-thru service is mentioned by a customer who utilized it on multiple occasions. The first review describes a dine-in experience shortly after opening. These options aim to cater to various customer preferences, whether they prefer to eat at the restaurant, take their food to go, or conveniently pick it up from their car.

Customer reviews regarding the food quality at this Fort Worth location present significant concerns. One group who dined in shortly after opening experienced a severely disappointing meal. They reported that multiple dishes, including the black pepper chicken (described as raw and cold), Beijing beef (soft and not crispy), cheese rangoon (very cold and inedible), and even the orange chicken (cold), were of poor quality, suggesting the food was not freshly prepared and had been sitting for an extended period. The steamed rice was also described as terrible, possibly leftover from the previous day. This feedback raises serious questions about the freshness and quality control of the food at this particular visit.

Another customer who used the drive-thru on three separate occasions also reported issues with food availability and preparation. On multiple visits, the restaurant was out of their preferred items, Super Greens and String Bean Chicken, with a 10-minute wait time offered for the latter. On one occasion when Super Greens were available, it consisted entirely of raw vegetables (broccoli and cabbage) instead of being "wok tossed in a garlic sauce" as described. This customer had to steam the vegetables themselves at home. Additionally, their Broccoli Beef was found to contain a disproportionately small amount of beef (only two pieces) for the price paid, essentially resulting in a plate of broccoli. These reviews indicate potential problems with menu item availability, food preparation, and ingredient quality.

Beyond food quality, one review detailed a negative billing experience. After dining in, the cashier informed the group that their initial charge did not go through and required them to pay again, assuring a credit if a double charge occurred. Upon checking their credit card statement, they found two charges and had to make a 15-mile trip back to the restaurant the next day to resolve the issue. The customer also expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of apology or compensation (like coupons or a free soda) for the significant inconvenience caused by the restaurant's error. Furthermore, they reported that the staff questioned the charges due to a small discrepancy related to a donation on the first transaction, prolonging the resolution process. This experience highlights potential issues with the billing system and customer service in handling errors and inconveniences.

Features of Panda Express as a chain typically include a buffet-style serving line where customers can see and choose their dishes. However, the negative reviews from this location suggest that the food in the serving line may not always be fresh or properly prepared. The drive-thru option is a feature aimed at providing quick service, but one customer's experience indicates potential issues with long wait times and the availability of popular menu items in this service channel. Online ordering, a common feature of many fast-food chains, is not mentioned in these reviews as a way to potentially mitigate some of these issues.

Promotional information specific to this Panda Express location in Fort Worth is not included in the provided customer reviews. Panda Express as a national brand often offers various promotions, such as limited-time offers, family meal deals, or discounts through their app or online platform. To inquire about any current promotions at the 623 Alta Mere Dr, Fort Worth, TX location, it would be best to check their official website or app, or contact them directly at (817) 377-0413 or +1 817-377-0413.

In conclusion, this Panda Express in Fort Worth, TX, offers dine-in, takeout, and drive-thru services. However, recent customer reviews raise significant concerns regarding food quality, including reports of raw and cold dishes, improperly prepared vegetables, and a lack of freshness. There are also issues with menu item availability and potentially long wait times at the drive-thru. Additionally, one customer experienced a problematic billing situation that required a return trip to resolve, along with dissatisfaction with the customer service response to the inconvenience. Local users considering this Panda Express should be aware of these negative experiences, particularly regarding food quality and service reliability. It may be prudent to inquire about the freshness of specific dishes before ordering. For information on the current menu and any promotions, contacting the restaurant directly is recommended.

A group of 6 of us went on Sunday, March 23, 2025 shortly after they opened at 1115am. We may have been the first people in. The food looked great but it was horrendous! I think it had been sitting for over an hour. The black pepper chicken was raw and cold, the Bejing beef was soft and not crispy like it was sitting there. Cheese rangoon so cold they were terrible could not even eat them. The orange chicken must have been the freshest was ok but cold too. Even the steamed rice was terrible, must have been from the night before. On top of it all as we were sitting trying to eat it the cashier came up and said the charge did not go through and they made us pay again and said if you happened to get charged twice just come in and we will credit you. Well, guess what? We had two charges on credit card when we got home. So had to drive 15 miles the next day to get our charge card credited. No coupons for meals for our inconvenience, no sorry, not even a free soda, nothing and then they were questioning the charge because we donated a dollar on the first meal and the receipts were $68 and the 2nd one $67. Finally got it settled but I think this is the last time we get a crappy, cold meal from Panda Express again!

We’ve only come here three times through the drive thru, and all three times they were out of what I wanted or there was a 10 minute wait for what I wanted (we have a baby in the car who does not like to sit still so that’s why we usually opt for “fast” food). I usually get super greens, string bean chicken and then switch up my other protein. Last time they didn’t have super greens. This time I ordered the super greens and it was all raw veggies. They’re supposed to be “wok tossed in a garlic sauce”. Nope. Just raw broccoli and cabbage. I steamed it myself at home just so I didn’t waste it. They were also (once again) out of string bean chicken (third time in a row). They said it would be a 10 minute wait so I picked something else. We ended up still waiting around 8 minutes for our food anyways. I don’t know why they would have something on the menu that they never have ready, which is kinda the whole appeal of Panda Express, it’s literally a buffet so you shouldn’t have to wait 10 minutes for something they should have sitting in a pan. Also my broccoli beef had all of 2 pieces of beef. So for $13 I essentially got a plate of broccoli.

Ignore all the negative reviews. Edselle the manager absolutely stacked my plate up with meat! I will be back. For 12.50 I got a bigger plate with probably 3x the meat of a chipotle bowl.

Stopped here for lunch today while we were in the area. I saw billboards for their new Blazing Bouron Chicken and wanted to try it. The flavor was good with just the right amount of spice. The employees here were friendly and respectful, and the restaurant and restroom were clean.
