About Panda Express

Welcome to Panda Express, a Chinese fast-food restaurant situated at 416 86th St in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn, New York (zip code 11209). As a part of a large chain of restaurants within the Chinese restaurant category, this Panda Express location provides a convenient option for local users in Brooklyn seeking familiar American Chinese cuisine. You can contact this specific branch by calling them at (718) 439-0206 or their mobile number +1 718-439-0206.

Based on the available customer reviews, the Panda Express in Bay Ridge offers a standard fast-food experience with Chinese-inspired dishes. One reviewer describes the food as "average in taste and quantity," suggesting that while it may not be exceptional, it provides a satisfactory and typical fast-food meal. This aligns with the general perception of chain restaurants offering consistent, albeit not necessarily gourmet, food options.

The reviewer details their order, which included two appetizers: vegetable spring rolls (two in an order) and crab rangoon (three in an order), both of which were fried. For the entrée, they opted for a combination plate with three small dishes, along with a base of a half order of chow mein and fried rice. The chow mein is noted to be similar to lo mein noodles commonly found in other New York Chinese restaurants, indicating a familiar style of noodle dish.

The three small dishes chosen for the combination plate were the "beyond original chicken," a vegetarian chicken alternative, the "honey walnut chicken," described as fried and sweet, and "chicken with string beans," which came in a separate small container. It's important to note that the reviewer initially mistook the chicken with string beans for white rice, highlighting that white rice was not included in their order. This is a detail for potential customers to be aware of when customizing their meals.

A specific point of information mentioned in the review is that the restaurant was out of fortune cookies during this particular visit. While this might seem like a minor detail, fortune cookies are often considered a standard inclusion with Chinese takeout or dine-in meals in the United States, so their absence might be noteworthy for some customers.

On the service front, the reviewer describes the staff as "friendly and helpful." This is a positive aspect of the customer experience, suggesting that patrons can expect courteous and accommodating service during their visit or when picking up orders. Friendly staff can significantly enhance the overall perception of a fast-food establishment, even if the food is considered average.

Another brief review touches upon a specific service interaction regarding drink refills. The customer recounts asking a worker why their juice wasn't filled to the brim, and the worker responded that their manager instructed them not to, contrary to the practice at other establishments. This suggests a potential inconsistency in service standards or a specific policy at this location regarding beverage portions. While a minor issue, it's a piece of feedback that provides insight into the operational practices.

Based on these reviews, the Panda Express in Bay Ridge offers a typical fast-food Chinese menu with familiar dishes. The food quality is described as average, and the portion sizes are standard for this type of establishment. The availability of a vegetarian chicken option ("beyond original chicken") is a notable feature for those with dietary restrictions or preferences. The menu includes popular items like honey walnut chicken and chicken with string beans, along with customizable combination plates allowing customers to sample multiple dishes.

The environment is likely consistent with other Panda Express locations, focusing on efficiency and quick service. As a chain restaurant, the decor and ambiance are generally standardized to provide a consistent brand experience across different locations. The mention of friendly and helpful staff suggests a positive service interaction, which can be a key differentiator in the fast-food industry.

Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. However, Panda Express as a chain frequently offers various promotions, discounts, and special deals. Local users in Bay Ridge might want to check the official Panda Express website or inquire at this specific location for any current offers that could enhance the value of their meal.

In conclusion, the Panda Express at 416 86th St in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, provides a familiar and convenient option for those seeking standard American Chinese fast food. While the food is described as average, the presence of friendly and helpful staff contributes to a positive service experience. The availability of vegetarian options and customizable combination plates caters to a variety of preferences. Customers should be aware that certain items, like white rice with specific dishes or fortune cookies on a particular day, might not be available. To take advantage of any potential promotions, it's recommended to check with the restaurant directly. Overall, this Panda Express location offers a reliable option for a quick and familiar Chinese fast-food meal in the Bay Ridge area.

The fast food restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. They serve Chinese cuisine and are part of a chain of restaurants. The food is average in taste and quantity. I ordered two appetizers. The vegetable spring rolls were two in the order. The crab rangoon were three in the order. Each appetizer was fried. I ordered the entree with three small dishes in basically a combination plate. I also chose a half order of chow mein and fried rice for the base of the combination plate. The chow mein is similar to lo mein noodles in typical Chinese food in other New York Chinese restaurants. The three dishes I ordered were the beyond original chicken which is a vegetarian chicken option. The honey walnut chicken were fried and sweet. The chicken with string beans were in a separate small container. I thought this was some white rice but the order does not include any white rice. I also was informed that the restaurant was out of fortune cookies. Friendly and helpful staff.

I asked the worker why he didn't fill the juice, and he said my manager asked me to, even though all the other places fill it to the brim. Hah

Very nice service and modern dining area but food was underwhelming. Although the walnut shrimp and the orange chicken was pretty good, the portions are outlandishly small compared to other local Chinese restaurants that fills the box up for the same price. The rice and noodles were cold, bland, and mediocre.

Placed an online order and was missing 1 item. I left a support ticket at the website and got a phone call response roughly 5 minutes later. The employee called me and apologized for his mistake and offered to resend the food to me. At first, I denied his request because I felt that he was genuinely sorry about his mistake. However, he told me that my satisfaction is more important than salary or any additional work. He called an Uber to deliver me the rest of the food and thanked me again for supporting Panda Express. Wing, you are such an honest and humble worker. Thank you again for making my night. Will continue to come back!

I would leave 0 stars here if I could. Unfortunately, my partner got violently ill after ordering take out at this Panda Express location, leaving me concerned about the cleanliness and safety standards of this location. He vomited repeatedly throughout the night not soon after he finished his meal. The quality and freshness are clearly lacking at this location and has completely turned us off from ever coming back here again. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody, it is definitely not worth the risk of getting sick.
