About Panda Express

Located at 7735 150th St W in Apple Valley, MN, this Panda Express branch provides a convenient option for individuals seeking quick-service American Chinese food. As part of a well-known national chain, Panda Express offers a familiar menu of dishes designed for fast preparation and service. This particular location caters to the Apple Valley community, offering both dine-in and takeout options for those looking for a swift meal.

According to one customer, the restaurant environment was clean, which is a positive aspect of the dining experience. However, another reviewer described the atmosphere as "not bad, but it isn't great," indicating a somewhat average or sufficient ambiance rather than a particularly noteworthy one. As a fast-food chain, Panda Express typically features a functional and brightly lit dining area designed for quick turnover rather than extended seating. Customers can likely expect a casual and efficient setting suitable for a quick meal.

The service at this Apple Valley Panda Express appears to have some inconsistencies based on the available reviews. One out-of-town customer, who was looking forward to trying Panda Express, reported a negative experience involving a misquoted price for a side of honey walnut shrimp. They were initially told it would be $7 extra, but were charged $10 at the register. While the customer stated that money wasn't the primary issue, the discrepancy and the fact that the initial quote reportedly came from a manager were points of disappointment. This suggests a potential issue with staff training or communication regarding pricing. Another reviewer did not specifically comment on the service, focusing instead on the food and atmosphere.

Panda Express is widely recognized for its American Chinese cuisine, with popular dishes like honey walnut shrimp, orange chicken, and sesame chicken being staples on the menu. One reviewer, a fan of honey walnut shrimp, expressed significant disappointment with the version at this location, stating that it tasted as if it had been cooked in a pan that had not been properly cleaned after being used for orange chicken, resulting in an unpleasant sauce. This is a notable concern regarding food preparation and quality control. The same reviewer also found both the orange chicken and sesame chicken to be excessively spicy, rendering them inedible for both themselves and a young child. This suggests that the spice levels of these dishes at this particular location might be higher than expected or inconsistent with other Panda Express branches.

A positive feature mentioned by one reviewer is the option to substitute the standard starch choices (rice or noodles) with "super greens." This provides a healthier alternative for customers looking to increase their vegetable intake and offers a degree of customization to the meal. This option highlights Panda Express's attempt to cater to health-conscious consumers by providing more nutritious side choices.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for this Panda Express location in the provided customer reviews. As a national chain, Panda Express often has corporate-level promotions that may be applicable across all or participating locations. These could include limited-time offers, seasonal specials, or bundled deals. However, these are not mentioned in the feedback specific to this Apple Valley branch. Customers interested in any potential promotions or discounts are advised to check the official Panda Express website or inquire directly with the store.

In conclusion, the Panda Express located at 7735 150th St W in Apple Valley offers a convenient option for quick-service American Chinese food. While one reviewer found the restaurant clean and appreciated the option to substitute starches with super greens, another experienced significant disappointment with the food quality, particularly the honey walnut shrimp and the excessive spiciness of the orange and sesame chicken. Additionally, an inconsistency in pricing for a side dish was reported, raising concerns about service accuracy. The atmosphere was described as sufficient but not exceptional. Potential customers may want to consider these recent experiences when deciding to dine at this particular Panda Express location. For the most up-to-date information on the menu and any ongoing promotions, it is recommended to visit the official Panda Express website or contact the store directly at (952) 997-6698 or +1 952-997-6698.

Restaurant was clean, however as someone from out of town looking forward to eating there (we don’t have one in Rochester, MN) I frequent the twin cities for business. I was very disappointed. The honey walnut shrimp (always my fave) tasted as if it had been cooked in an unrinsed pan of orange chicken (the sauce was pretty bad), the orange chicken and sesame chicken were so spicy they were inedible for me and my 6yr old. When ordering the honey walnut shrimp I was informed on the line that it would be $7 extra for a side container of it. Okay no big deal I was really looking forward to it! Get to the register and was told it was actually $10, still money wasn’t an issue. But it just tasted like disappointment. I was also informed that the misquoted price of $7 was from a manager! Probably won’t be revisiting here.

Atmosphere isn't bad, but it isn't great. It's sufficient. Nobody makes better orange chicken. Love the option to substitute starch (rice or noodles) with super greens

I stopped in for lunch on 11-12-24 and ordered the same 3 entree platter I always order. It's called "The bigger plate" and it is priced and listed at $11.40. Sadly enough, the portion size I received was less than half as big as when you order at dinner time. However, I was charged the full price. To me, that is just not acceptable!! Additionally, one of the entrees I selected, mushroom chicken, ended up not having any chicken in it. It was a few mushrooms and zucchini cubes, coated in a lot of greasy gravy. They scraped the bare minimum out of each empty pan. My side, low mein noodles, was cold and again, it was less than half the portion of what you normally get when you order for dinner. I went back to the counter to double check on the chicken mushroom dish to confirm the sign stated Chicken Mushroom. It did say Chicken Mushroom. Sadly, no one asked if I needed help and no one came to the table to check and see if everything was okay. Everyone turned their backs. Overall, it was a most disappointing lunch experience. I talked to a couple of my neighbors who go to the same location. Both have stated that that location is not well managed and that they had encountered similar bad experiences. I contacted Panda Express via their website and filed a written complaint and received no response whatsoever. It is sad that chains like Panda Express get away with this kind of thing and take no accountability.

Panda Express is one of my favorite restaurants and this location is good. It seemed like a madhouse when I went in to pick up my order, but I was greeted with a smile and my food was hot and ready to go. I got orange chicken, some sort of shrimp, noodles, veggie rolls, and cream cheese filled wontons. They were all terrific and the entire meal for two was under 15 dollars. They were, unfortunately, out of sweet and sour sauce, which is essential for wontons. That’s like a burger place being out of ketchup, but it’s all good because I had some sweet and sour sauce at home 😎.
