About Panda Express

This introduction focuses on the Panda Express restaurant situated at 2371 Foothill Blvd in La Verne, California. As a familiar name in the Chinese Restaurant category, Panda Express offers a fast-casual dining experience featuring a variety of American Chinese dishes. This detailed overview aims to provide local users with insights into the specific characteristics of this La Verne location, drawing from recent customer feedback available online.

One customer shared a mixed experience, indicating they typically opt for takeout ("I get it to go"). This suggests that the convenience of grabbing a quick meal is a significant factor for some patrons of this location. Regarding the food itself, the reviewer found the Orange Chicken to be "very good," a positive note as this is one of Panda Express's most popular and recognizable dishes. However, their feedback on other items was less favorable. The beef dish they tried contained vegetables that were described as "overcooked," which could be a concern for those who prefer their vegetables to retain some texture and crispness. Additionally, they noted that the rice was "UNDER FRIED," a somewhat unusual description that might imply it was either undercooked or not prepared in the typical fried rice style they expected.

Another customer who visited the La Verne Panda Express shared a more positive experience, particularly highlighting the cleanliness of the restaurant ("Nice and clean"). This is an important aspect for any dining establishment, as a clean environment contributes to a more pleasant and reassuring experience for customers. The timing of their visit was just before closing, which resulted in a limited selection of available dishes. However, the staff's response to this situation was commendable, as they "offered to make more," a gesture that was greatly appreciated by the reviewer. This indicates a willingness to accommodate customers even during the less busy closing hours and suggests a focus on customer satisfaction.

The dishes this second customer eventually ordered were the Teriyaki Chicken, Fried Rice, and Chow Mein. They reported that these items "hit the spot," implying that they were satisfied with the taste and quality of their meal. This positive feedback on these classic American Chinese dishes suggests that this location can deliver on some of the expected Panda Express favorites. The reviewer also mentioned their intention to visit earlier on their next trip, indicating a positive overall impression despite the limited selection due to the late hour.

Considering these two recent reviews, a somewhat varied picture of the Panda Express in La Verne emerges. On one hand, the Orange Chicken seems to be a consistently well-received dish. On the other hand, there are mentions of overcooked vegetables and under-fried rice, suggesting potential inconsistencies in the preparation of certain menu items. The positive feedback regarding the cleanliness of the restaurant and the accommodating nature of the staff, especially when faced with a limited selection near closing time, are noteworthy strengths of this location.

For local users considering this Panda Express, it might be prudent to be mindful of potential variations in food preparation quality. While some dishes, like the Orange Chicken, appear to be reliable, others might not consistently meet expectations. The cleanliness of the establishment and the willingness of the staff to prepare fresh food, even near closing, are positive indicators of their commitment to customer experience.

As with any fast-food restaurant, consistency can sometimes be an issue. These reviews provide a snapshot of recent experiences, but individual visits may vary. Local residents who value a clean dining environment and are looking for familiar American Chinese fare might find this Panda Express a convenient option. However, those with specific preferences regarding the preparation of certain dishes, such as the texture of vegetables or the style of fried rice, might want to take the reported inconsistencies into account.

In conclusion, the Panda Express at 2371 Foothill Blvd in La Verne offers the convenience and familiar menu of the chain, with some dishes like the Orange Chicken receiving positive feedback. The restaurant is noted for its cleanliness, and the staff appears to be accommodating, even when faced with limitations due to closing hours. However, there have been reports of inconsistencies in the preparation of other dishes, such as overcooked vegetables and rice that was not prepared as expected. Local users should weigh these factors when deciding whether to dine at or order from this particular Panda Express location.

Nice and clean. I went in just before they closed so the items to choose from were limited. But they offered to make more which I appreciated. Had the teriyaki chicken ,fried rice, and chow mein. It hit the spot. Next time I will go earlier.

I had an awful experience. I placed an online order using a Dodger promotion, waited 20 minutes, and then was told my Panda Express-issued gift card was declined. The promotion was on the food order, not the gift card. Now I’m out of balance on the gift card and I never received any food. The staff was unhelpful, and nothing was resolved. A complete waste of time and money. Avoid this place at all costs.

It is rare I would give a fast food chain five stars but this location had the best and friendliest and helpful staff. They went out of their way to accommodate the customers and the food was fresh and delicious. Good job guys.

Met friends here for dinner. Very crowded probably due to the Dodger special that we were also there for. The cashier was so helpful with the app. Delicious Kung Pao chicken and teriyaki chicken with veggies
