Panda Express

During my visit to Panda Express today for lunch, I ordered three servings of chow mein and fried rice with orange chicken bowls. Unfortunately, the experience was not positive. The staff member who assisted me was not pleasant, and I received only a half scoop of rice, which was disappointing. Additionally, the quality of the chow mein and orange chicken did not meet my expectations. As a frequent customer at this location, I was quite disappointed with both the service and the food quality during this visit. Regrettably, I have decided not to return to this establishment.

We ordered catering for about 40 people from this Panda location, and I had a truly wonderful customer service experience with Maria, a manager at this store. We spoke on the phone before I placed the order, and she was incredibly helpful to answer my questions regarding quantity and timing for the meal. She also followed-up throughout those days leading into the event, just to make sure we had everything we needed. The food order was completely accurate, and delicious. She was a delight to work with. Thank you, Maria!!

Food was okay, orange chicken was overcooked and more breaded compared to other Panda's. Kung Poa chicken had great flavor but very lite chicken, rice, chow mein and chicken egg roll, average. I would have given this review 4 stars but the fountain orange Fanta tasted like sewer water and chalky. Was about to toss the drink but decided to keep it just in case I need to present it to the Emergency Room for further analysis. No offense to Franchise owner, just giving my honest opinion for today's visit (my first at this Mesa, Az location). So many Panda's out therefore food is hit or miss on giving it 1 star or five stars but today it earned 3 stars.

Food was good as usual. But what makes a place better is the staff. I was greeted with a smile and was served nicely. Then as I was finishing my meal the shift manager had just come in. She had a lovely smile and asked how my food was. Said have a nice day. Really makes a difference considering most places you go these days people couldn’t care less if you’re in their place of work or not. Good on ya!

Woman in the black shirt (possibly manager) was very rude and unpleasant to deal with. She did not give us our drinks which is not even a big deal but when I asked for them despite paying for them she acted as if I was stealing drinks. Proceeded to accuse us of already having our drinks which we clearly did not have them. Following the incident when we asked for sauces she kept having an attitude. Having a nice attitude is the most basic behavior anyone should have in customer service. I definitely won’t be coming back to this location.
