About Panda Express

Welcome to the Panda Express located within Charlotte Douglas International Airport, specifically at 5501 Josh Birmingham Prkw, Concourse E, Gate 27, Charlotte, NC. As part of the well-known "Chinese Restaurant" chain, this Panda Express aims to provide travelers with quick and convenient American-Chinese cuisine. Situated within a busy airport terminal, its primary function is to serve passengers looking for a fast meal before or between flights.

However, the available customer reviews for this particular Panda Express location paint a concerning picture regarding both the food quality and the service experienced by travelers. One reviewer recounted a negative experience when ordering to-go from the ready-made food buffet area. They reported feeling "rushed because it was within 20 min of closing," which is understandable given the operational constraints of airport establishments. However, the reviewer also noted that the food "was already sitting there made," implying it might not have been freshly prepared. More critically, they concluded that the "Food is not that good either!" This direct negative assessment of the food quality is a significant point of concern for potential customers.

Another reviewer expressed even stronger dissatisfaction with the food, stating, "Ive had sushi that was cooked better than the chicken here." This hyperbolic comparison underscores a severe lack of quality in the chicken dish they experienced. The reviewer went on to advise against eating at this location, saying, "If you like your stomach and chicken that doesnt talk to you while youre eating it, dont go here." This alarming statement suggests potential issues with the preparation or freshness of the chicken, leading to a highly unpleasant eating experience. The reviewer strongly recommended exploring "Plenty of other options in the airport nearby," indicating that travelers have alternative choices within the terminal.

Considering these two reviews, the Panda Express located in Concourse E, Gate 27 of Charlotte Douglas International Airport appears to have significant issues with food quality and potentially with the service provided near closing time. The fact that food might be served from a buffet area close to closing suggests that freshness could be compromised. The comparison of the chicken to poorly cooked sushi and the warning about stomach discomfort are particularly troubling for any potential customer.

Given the specific context of an airport location, travelers often have limited time and options for food. However, these reviews strongly suggest that caution should be exercised when considering this particular Panda Express. The convenience of a familiar brand within the airport might be overshadowed by concerns about the quality and freshness of the food served here.

Unlike standalone Panda Express restaurants, airport locations often cater to a transient customer base and may operate under different logistical constraints. The reviews do not provide any information about the environment or ambiance of this specific outlet, but it is likely to be a functional space designed for quick service rather than a leisurely dining experience. Similarly, details about specific services or promotional offers are absent, as the focus of the reviews is solely on the food quality and service at the time of ordering.

For travelers passing through Charlotte Douglas International Airport and finding themselves near Concourse E, Gate 27, these reviews serve as important feedback. While Panda Express is generally known for its consistent and palatable American-Chinese fast food, this particular location seems to be falling short of those standards, at least according to the experiences shared by these reviewers. The proximity to other dining options within the airport, as mentioned by one reviewer, should encourage travelers to explore alternatives if they are concerned about the quality of food at this Panda Express.

As there is no positive feedback available for this specific location based on the provided reviews, it is difficult to highlight any strengths. The issues raised regarding food quality and service near closing time are significant enough to warrant serious consideration before choosing to eat here. Travelers prioritizing a satisfactory and safe meal might be better served by investigating other dining options within Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

In conclusion, the Panda Express located at 5501 Josh Birmingham Prkw, Concourse E, Gate 27 in Charlotte Douglas International Airport, has received negative feedback concerning the quality of its food and the service provided near closing time. One reviewer described the food as "not that good," while another offered a stark comparison to poorly cooked sushi and warned of potential stomach issues. Travelers passing through this concourse should be aware of these concerns and may want to consider alternative dining options available within the airport to ensure a more satisfactory meal experience.

The person serving the food was nice. The person charging looked really unhappy, when I asked for a cup of water, she didn't even look up at me to let me know they don't serve water, she just shook her head. They serve you very little when it comes to the rice and chowmein. The food tasted like panda express at least.

It's Panda Express. It's full of all the things a human should not eat. High carbs. High bad fats. Preservatives. Gluten. Even so. When at an airport. Sometimes it's necessary to eat such things. Edible. But not a healthy choice.

First time getting food here. Had a 2 hour layover and was hungry. Fast and quick service with good food. Expect long lines. Limited seating area shared with other restaurants.
