Taking 1* back because the food wasn’t hot. But overall, it was a good and filling meal.
Mediocre experience. Late evening. Long lines. They were out of more things than they had available. Food definitely wasn’t fresh. I get that it’s the end of the day and they try to predict what will be needed to fill orders that may come, but come one you have to have fresh food and you have to have more items available than not. The employees don’t seem to be very patient with all the questions about what menu items are available or will be available. Again, this could be remedied by having most items available. The almond chicken had a great flavor.
If Houston’s defining culture is below-average fast-casual restaurants owned by corporations and staffed by uncaring workers, this Panda Express is 100% Houston. I know not to expect Xi’an Famous Foods, but typically Panda Express has pretty good consistency. At lunch rush, the white rice (which should be fresh) was clumped and hard. The Beijing Beef had AT LEAST 5x the sauce as normal (and was saccharine / inedible as a result). To top it off, the cheap styrofoam container practically melted under the weight of the food. Do yourself a favor and pack a PBJ.
Sometimes the panda express is really good and sometimes it's really bad. This experience was a pretty good one. We got the noodles, waited for fresh veggies and had some none breaded chicken. My stomach does not hurt and I had a good experience overall.
An excellent choice if you want a quick and inexpensive place to eat. This place has some airport markup especially on the drinks (3-3.75), but not too much. I went there early in the morning so the food was kind of gummy from the congealed corn starch. Yet they do cook through the day. Portions were kind of small compared to other Panda Resturants. So there is some economizing going on. Spent about $15.
