About Panda Chinese Restaurant

Panda Chinese Restaurant, situated at 860 Parris Island Gateway C5 in Beaufort, South Carolina, falls under the Chinese Restaurant category and provides goods and services related to Chinese cuisine, primarily through takeout options. For local users considering Panda Chinese Restaurant for their next meal, it is important to take into account the recent feedback shared by other customers regarding their experiences with the establishment. You can contact the restaurant at (843) 322-0696 or their mobile number +1 843-322-0696 for any inquiries or to place an order.

Based on the available reviews, there appear to be some significant concerns regarding the efficiency and accuracy of the services offered, particularly concerning mobile orders and phone interactions. One customer detailed a recurring issue with mobile order ready times being inaccurate. On one specific occasion, despite arriving at the drive-thru precisely at the time indicated by the mobile app, they experienced a further ten-minute delay just to reach the speaker. Subsequently, they were informed that their order was still not prepared. The options provided to resolve this delay were either to re-enter the drive-thru line or to park and go inside, which the customer felt negated the convenience typically associated with mobile ordering.

Another customer reported a negative experience when placing a phone order. They described being met with an annoyed tone despite their own friendly demeanor. Furthermore, after the order was repeated, the speaker allegedly spoke too quickly for the customer to understand a part of the information and then abruptly hung up before clarification could be requested. Upon calling back to confirm the order and inquire about the total cost and pickup time, the customer stated they were again met with a rude tone before being hung up on a second time. While the customer attempted to empathize with the possibility of the staff being tired due to the late hour, the subsequent experience at pickup was even more concerning.

The customer's partner and a friend who went to pick up the order were reportedly charged an additional $30 beyond what the customer had calculated as the total cost of the individual items, even after accounting for tax. This significant discrepancy in billing raises serious questions about the accuracy of charges at Panda Chinese Restaurant. As a result of these cumulative negative experiences, the customer stated a firm intention to never return to Panda Chinese Restaurant and expressed their plan to dissuade others from patronizing the establishment.

Regarding the food itself, one reviewer simply stated that it was "okay." This neutral assessment suggests that while the taste of the food might not be a primary issue, it also doesn't appear to be a standout feature that compensates for the reported service and operational problems. Without further details on specific dishes or the quality of ingredients, it is difficult to form a comprehensive opinion on the culinary aspects based solely on these reviews.

The reviews do not provide any information about the environment or ambiance of Panda Chinese Restaurant, as both experiences described were related to takeout and drive-thru service. Therefore, local users seeking information about the dine-in atmosphere or decor will not find those details in the provided feedback. Similarly, there is no mention of any specific features of the restaurant beyond the availability of mobile ordering and a drive-thru, nor is there any promotional information available in these reviews.

In conclusion, the recent customer feedback for Panda Chinese Restaurant in Beaufort, SC, raises concerns regarding the reliability of mobile order ready times, the professionalism of phone etiquette, and the accuracy of billing. While one reviewer found the food to be "okay," the negative service experiences appear to have significantly impacted customer satisfaction. Local users considering this Chinese restaurant should be aware of these potential issues based on the experiences shared by others. It may be prudent to exercise caution when placing orders, particularly mobile or phone orders, and to carefully verify the order and charges upon pickup. For a more comprehensive understanding of the restaurant's offerings and overall quality, additional reviews or personal experiences might be necessary.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve placed a mobile order here, and every single time the ‘ready by’ time is pure fiction. This time it told me 7:20, so I hit the drive-thru right on time. Ten minutes later, I finally get to the speaker, just to be told they’re behind and my order still isn’t ready. Oh, and my options? Either circle back through the drive-thru like it’s a theme park ride, or park and go inside—because apparently ‘mobile convenience’ means ‘do it yourself.’ Absolutely wild.

Food is okay. Upon calling in my order, I was met with an annoyed tone when I was nothing but friendly. After rereading the order, the speaker said a few words very quickly but I didn’t quite understand what they said. Before I could ask for clarification, they hung up abruptly. I called back to ensure my order was indeed placed because I didn’t hear a total for the cost or an estimated time for pickup. I was, again, met with a rude tone before hanging up again. Okay fine, whatever, it’s getting pretty late and they’re likely tired. I can empathize with that. My partner and his friend went to pick up the order and was charged an additional $30!!!! I added up the cost of each individual item and double checked it. Even with tax, it wouldn’t have been as much as I was charged! I have never tried panda before, but I can assure you I will NEVER be back and I’ll make sure to persuade anyone else to stay away.

Food was burnt. We tried to take it back and the employee insulted us! Avoid this restaurant and the unpleasant staff. I would give them zero stars if I could.

The staff were very rude from the second we entered the door. I ordered chow mein and they gave me fried rice with thick pieces of cabbage, celery, and chicken that did not look appetizing. When I asked, they said that the order was correct but I ordered chow mein and didn't even get noodles in it. My soup also had a dead bug in it. We couldn't even sit and eat because the staff left the kitchen to eat at the table behind us and would not stop smacking and burping while eating, we immediately left and we will not be coming back.

Decent enough food for lunch. The atmosphere doesn’t seem very bright or inviting. A bit gloomy, if I’m honest, and there’s no view of the kitchen. It would not be my first choice for Chinese fast food, but perhaps it would serve as a second or third choice if I was nearby, hungry, and it was otherwise convenient.
