About Panda Chinese Restaurant

Panda Chinese Restaurant is located at 463 Johnny Mercer Blvd on Wilmington Island in Georgia. As a Chinese restaurant serving the local community, Panda Chinese Restaurant offers a range of dishes, primarily catering to takeout orders, although limited dine-in seating is available. You can contact them at (912) 898-2368 or +1 912-898-2368 to place an order or for any inquiries about their menu and services.

Customer reviews for Panda Chinese Restaurant present a somewhat polarized view of the establishment. One recent review expressed significant dissatisfaction, describing their experience as "complete trash." This customer claimed that on their third order of a large General Tso's chicken, they received a minimal amount of chicken, mostly consisting of fried breading. They strongly advised against using the business and mentioned observing an elderly woman, presumably related to the restaurant, eating by the door while they received their order. This reviewer concluded that the business was "terrible."

Conversely, another customer shared a much more positive experience, stating that they "absolutely love this place" and consider it the best Chinese food in the area. This reviewer mentioned driving from the south side to Wilmington Island specifically to patronize Panda Chinese Restaurant, indicating a high level of satisfaction. They acknowledged that another local establishment, Chef Wan, is also good but praised the family that owns and operates The Panda for being "very very nice" and serving delicious food. This customer did have a minor complaint about a recent egg roll being excessively greasy at the bottom but noted that the delicious taste prevented them from discarding the entire item.

Regarding the atmosphere, the positive reviewer described Panda Chinese Restaurant as "mostly a takeout kind of place" with limited ambiance and only a few small tables and chairs. This suggests that the primary focus of the business is on fulfilling takeout orders rather than providing an extensive dine-in experience. This might be an important consideration for customers looking for a specific dining atmosphere.

The positive reviewer specifically highlighted the freshness of the food, mentioning that dishes are cooked fresh upon ordering. They also praised the hand-made egg rolls as being "extra good." Two specific dishes were mentioned and positively reviewed: the chicken with mixed vegetables and the beef mei fun (clear rice noodles with vegetables and thinly sliced tender beef). The reviewer stated that every dish they had ordered from Panda Chinese Restaurant had been excellent, largely due to the fresh preparation. They also shared an "insider tip" recommending customers to ask for the spicy Chinese mustard.

Considering these two contrasting reviews, potential customers should be aware of both the positive and negative feedback. The negative review raises concerns about the quality and quantity of certain dishes, specifically the General Tso's chicken, and the overall assessment of the business as "terrible." The observation of someone eating by the door might also be a point of concern for some customers regarding the professionalism and organization of the establishment.

On the other hand, the positive review strongly praises the taste and freshness of the food, the friendliness of the family 운영 the restaurant, and the quality of the hand-made egg rolls. The recommendation to try specific dishes and the insider tip about the spicy mustard could be valuable for new customers. The description of the atmosphere as primarily takeout-oriented is also useful for setting expectations.

It's important to note that these are individual experiences and may not be representative of every customer's interaction with Panda Chinese Restaurant. However, they provide insights into potential strengths and weaknesses of the establishment. The emphasis on fresh cooking and hand-made items, along with the positive comments about taste and friendly service, suggests that Panda Chinese Restaurant has the potential to offer a satisfying culinary experience.

For local users on Wilmington Island looking for a Chinese restaurant, Panda Chinese Restaurant presents a takeout-focused option with some positive feedback regarding food quality and service, alongside a concerning negative review highlighting issues with food quantity and overall quality. The limited dine-in atmosphere may be a factor for those seeking a traditional restaurant setting. Potential customers might want to consider these points and perhaps try a simpler order initially to gauge their own experience, especially given the strong discrepancy in recent reviews.

In conclusion, Panda Chinese Restaurant on Wilmington Island offers Chinese cuisine with a focus on takeout service. While one customer lauded the fresh, delicious food and friendly owners, another reported a very negative experience with food quality and quantity. The atmosphere is described as basic, catering mainly to takeout. Potential patrons should consider these varying perspectives when deciding whether to patronize Panda Chinese Restaurant.

Complete trash they served me. 3rd time ordering large general Tso chicken and got maybe 1/2 an oz of chicken… all breading fried. Don’t ever use this business. Grandma always eating her dinner by the door while we get served fried bread with no chicken. This business is terrible.

I absolutely love this place! I think it's the best Chinese food in the area. I drive all the way from the south side to Wilmington Island because I like it that much. Don't get me wrong, Chef Wan is really good too, but the family that owns and operates The Panda are just very very nice and the food is delicious! Although I do have a complaint about my egg roll being a little greasy at the bottom last night. Like when I was holding it up right, all of the grease ran down to the bottom of the egg roll. In my opinion there shouldn't be enough grease for any of it to have dripped down to the bottom, but it was so delicious so I just didn't eat the last bite with all the grease on it. As for the atmosphere, this is mostly a takeout kind of place so there's not much atmosphere and only a few small tables and chairs. I had the chicken with mixed vegetables and it was delicious as usual. I also ordered the beef mei fun, which is clear rice noodles with some vegetables and of course the thin sliced super tender beef. Every dish that I've ordered from the panda has been excellent mostly because they cook it fresh when you order it and they make the egg rolls by hand so they are extra good! Insider tip, ask for the spicy Chinese mustard! It will open up your sinuses for sure!

We got the phenoix and dragon dinner which is general so chicken and shrimp with vegetables. There was no taste. It wasn't spicy at all. We also got lo mein but they both tasted very watered down. I don't know how it had no taste. We also got crab rangoons and an egg roll and those tasted fine. I don't know why our food was so bland but I would not recommend this place.

I visited this place today with a lot of hunger and as always they exceed my expectations with such an exquisite dish of fried rice, a special dish of the house. I recommend you visit this place when you want to eat a delicious meal.

Thought I’d try them as a new resident. Wish I hadn’t. The pictures are of the large beef lo mein. THE. LARGE. And I don’t want to hear food and supply chain shortages. Green Tea in Eisenhower gives three times this for the same price, and that was I can feed my three-person family on it. That’s why we get the large. Never again. Avoid these cheapskates like the plague.
