Operating within the Chinese Restaurant category, Panda Buffet offers a buffet-style dining experience to local users. They can be contacted at (479) 872-8828 or via mobile at +1 479-872-8828 for inquiries. Potential customers considering Panda Buffet should be aware of recent, somewhat contrasting, feedback regarding the quality and overall experience.

The environment of Panda Buffet, according to one positive review, is clean and pleasant, suggesting that the restaurant maintains a certain standard of hygiene and ambiance for its diners. This positive aspect contributes to a comfortable experience for lunch, dinner, or even a date. Buffet restaurants typically feature a spacious dining area with various stations housing a wide selection of food items, allowing customers to serve themselves. The layout is designed to accommodate a large number of guests and facilitate easy access to the different dishes. The cleanliness of the dining area and the buffet stations is crucial for a positive dining experience.

In terms of services, Panda Buffet primarily offers a buffet dining experience where customers pay a fixed price to enjoy an all-you-can-eat selection from the available dishes. Waitstaff are usually present to seat guests, manage drink orders, and clear used plates. One reviewer noted that the service was prompt without being pushy, indicating a balanced approach where diners feel attended to without being rushed. This suggests a level of attentiveness that enhances the overall dining experience. However, another review, while focused on food quality, indirectly touches upon service by mentioning a long-standing issue with the butter served with crab legs, implying a consistency in certain aspects of their offerings over time.

The features of Panda Buffet, as highlighted by a long-time customer, include a food bar with many enjoyable items, suggesting a diverse selection of Chinese dishes. The buffet is reportedly kept full, ensuring that a wide variety of options are available to diners. The positive review mentioned that the varieties are incredible, indicating a broad range of appetizers, soups, main courses (featuring different meats, seafood, and vegetables), rice and noodle dishes, and possibly desserts. This extensive selection is a key feature of buffet-style restaurants, catering to various tastes and preferences.

However, a more recent and critical review raises significant concerns about the quality of a specific item: the butter served with crab legs. The long-time customer notes that while it was never real butter (always margarine-like), a recent visit revealed a drastic decline in quality. The substance served was described as watery, overly yellow, with a rancid smell, and upon adding ice, it thickened into a slimy texture while retaining its unnatural color. The taste was likened to old cooking oil rather than margarine. This experience led the customer to believe that the restaurant might be cutting corners by using leftover or low-quality oil. As the customer specifically visited for the crab legs and found this key accompaniment to be unacceptable, it resulted in significant disappointment and a likely cessation of future visits. This highlights a potential issue with the quality control of certain components of the buffet.

Currently, there is no explicit promotional information available for Panda Buffet in the provided reviews. Buffet restaurants sometimes offer discounts for children, seniors, or during specific days or times (e.g., lunch specials). To ascertain any current promotions, local users would need to contact Panda Buffet directly by phone or visit their location. Their website or local online listings, if available, might also provide details on pricing and any special offers.

In conclusion, Panda Buffet in Springdale, Arkansas, appears to offer a Chinese buffet experience with a wide variety of dishes and a generally clean and pleasant environment. The service is described as prompt and attentive. However, a recent and detailed negative review concerning the quality of the butter served with crab legs raises a significant red flag, particularly for customers who enjoy this specific item. While the buffet boasts a large selection of food, consistency in the quality of all components is crucial. Potential customers should weigh the positive feedback regarding variety and overall experience against the serious concerns raised about a specific food item. It might be prudent to inquire about the current offerings and quality standards directly with the restaurant before deciding to dine at Panda Buffet.

Here’s your updated review with that added in: I’ve been going to Panda for many years and have always had their margarine-like butter for crab legs. It’s never been real butter, but it was decent. However, during my most recent visit, what they served was definitely not margarine. It was watery, overly yellow, and had a rancid smell. When I put ice in it, it thickened into a slimy texture but stayed the same yellow color. It didn’t taste like margarine at all—more like old cooking oil. I believe they might be cutting corners and using leftover or low-quality oil instead of what they used to serve. I do enjoy many other items on their food bar, but this experience made me very unhappy. I went there specifically for crab legs, and what they called margarine wasn’t margarine at all. I’m very disappointed and probably won’t be coming back after this.

The food was atrocious, no matter what I tried everything tasted off, old, and made wrong. The only saving grace was the sushi and the steak at the sushi bar. Every single other item of food they served was trash tonight. The staff is amazing and polite.

Has good decorations and nice staff. The food is lack luster. Not a large variety. The steak they offer at the skeat and sushi area is bland and tasteless. Also there are no knives 🙃

Omg! Hands down the best food! The TSO is out of this world. The other food was great too. The waitstaff was excellent. Johnny on the spot, always offering their service. Restaurant was clean and had a very comfortable layout. Large dessert bar. I will drive an hour one way just to eat here.
