About Pagoda Chinese Restaurant

Welcome to Pagoda Chinese Restaurant, located at 5304-D Sunset Rd in Charlotte, North Carolina (NC 28269, USA). As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, Pagoda Chinese Restaurant has received customer feedback that raises significant concerns regarding the quality and preparation of its food. This introduction aims to provide local users with an objective overview of Pagoda Chinese Restaurant based on the available customer reviews, highlighting the specific issues raised by recent diners.

Details regarding the environment of Pagoda Chinese Restaurant are not provided in the customer reviews. There are no comments about the ambiance, décor, or overall cleanliness of the establishment. Therefore, local users seeking information about the dining atmosphere will need to visit the location or inquire directly. The focus of the reviews is primarily on the food itself, overshadowing any discussion of the physical setting.

The services offered by Pagoda Chinese Restaurant likely include both dine-in and takeout options, as is typical for many Chinese restaurants. However, the reviews do not explicitly detail the service experience beyond the quality of the food received. Customers likely have the option to order meals for consumption on-site or to take away. To confirm the specific services offered, such as delivery or any particular protocols for dine-in or takeout, local users should contact the restaurant directly using the provided phone numbers.

The features of Pagoda Chinese Restaurant, as described by recent customer reviews, present a concerning picture regarding food quality. One reviewer strongly advises against recommending the place, citing issues such as "burnt food" and food cooked in "old Greese," suggesting poor cooking practices and potentially compromised flavor. This reviewer also explicitly states that the food is "never fresh," raising significant concerns about the ingredients and preparation methods. Interestingly, the only positive note from this reviewer is that the "best thing they got going is wings by they self," indicating a potential exception to the overall negative assessment of their food.

Another customer echoes the sentiment about the food being "always hot" but contradicts the idea of freshness by stating, "never fresh." This suggests a potential practice of reheating food rather than preparing it fresh to order. Furthermore, this reviewer raises a significant issue regarding the identification of the meats used in the dishes, stating, "you never know if it's pork, chicken or beef. It all looks the same." While they concede that it "taste delicious," they question its nutritional value due to the lack of discernible differences between the meats. This lack of differentiation in appearance across different types of meat is unusual and could be indicative of processed ingredients or similar preparation styles that mask the individual characteristics of each protein.

The consistent theme in the reviews is a serious concern about the freshness and quality of the food, with one reviewer using strong language ("burnt food," "old Greese") to convey their negative experience. The other reviewer, while acknowledging a pleasant taste, questions the freshness and even the identity of the meats, raising further red flags about the standards of food preparation and ingredient sourcing at Pagoda Chinese Restaurant. The one potential bright spot mentioned is the wings, which were singled out as the "best thing" by one reviewer, suggesting that this might be a more reliable item on their menu.

Regarding promotional information, the provided customer reviews do not mention any specific discounts, special offers, or ongoing promotions at Pagoda Chinese Restaurant. Given the strong negative feedback regarding the fundamental aspects of food quality and freshness, any potential promotions would likely need to be accompanied by significant improvements in their culinary practices to be effective. Local users are advised to consider the serious concerns raised in the reviews before being swayed by any promotional offers they might encounter.

For local users in Charlotte, NC, considering Pagoda Chinese Restaurant, the recent customer reviews present a clear warning about potential issues with food quality and freshness. The allegations of burnt food, cooking in old grease, and the indistinguishable nature of the meats are serious concerns that should be carefully considered. While one reviewer found the taste delicious despite questioning the freshness and nutritional value, the overall sentiment leans towards dissatisfaction. The one positive mention of their wings might be worth noting for those specifically interested in that item. However, for a general Chinese food experience, potential customers should be aware of the significant criticisms raised and may want to explore other options in the area before deciding to dine at or order from Pagoda Chinese Restaurant. Contacting the restaurant directly at (704) 599-9289 or +1 704-599-9289 might provide an opportunity to inquire about their current practices and address the concerns highlighted in the reviews.

In conclusion, Pagoda Chinese Restaurant in Charlotte, NC, has received recent customer feedback that raises substantial concerns about the quality and freshness of its food. Reviewers have reported issues such as burnt food, cooking in old grease, and an inability to distinguish between different types of meat. While one reviewer found the taste appealing despite questioning the freshness and nutritional value, the overall impression is negative. The only positive mention is regarding their wings. Local users should carefully consider these serious concerns before choosing to patronize Pagoda Chinese Restaurant and may want to explore alternative Chinese dining options in the Charlotte area.

Ordered $50+ tonigh and had to throw it all away. Lo mean was very salty and sesame chicken didn't seem to have any meat. It seemed more like deep fried batter with sauce on it. Even the free donuts were really dry. Not sure what happened but the quality of the food has definitely taken a nose dive

I ordered sweet and sour chicken with house special fried Rice. The rice was awful and wasn't filled with any of the supposed to be extra ingredients that I paid extra three dollars for. The chicken was burnt. Overall I should have known better when I walked in this place is unkept. The food was awful. If I hadn't paid with my debit card I would have requested a full refund. I wish I would have taken a photo of how disgusting the food looked and the way it tasted. Someone coming home from jail wouldn't even eat it. Awful.

I'm thinking I was going to enjoy my food here at Pagoda Chinese restaurant....boy was I in for a surprise! The food was bland, undercooked, and the rice was soggy. Why don't people smile anymore and welcome you as you are ordering food! I wanted to throw the food right back at them but, I knew they would call the law on me. Do yourself a favor, if you really like eating Chinese food, go to a real restaurant and buy it there. Sunset Rd, and Statesville Ave, Charlotte NC....so very disgusting!
