Customer Reviews
This Bangladeshi restaurant in NYC has truly become our go-to spot for authentic Bangladeshi cuisine. So far, we've explored a range of dishes including Chicken Birany, Beef Tehari, Rupchada Fish, Shorshe Ilish, Coral Fish, Kachki Fish, Beef Bhuna, Paratha, Ilish Khichuri, and Lau Chingri. The Chicken Birany boasts a perfect fusion of aromatic rice and tender chicken, creating a delightful harmony on the palate. The Beef Tehari is a comforting revelation, with rich spices infusing each bite with warmth and depth. The Rupchada Fish and Shorshe Ilish showcase the restaurant's commitment to authenticity, presenting the true essence of Bengali seafood. Coral Fish and Kachki Fish elevate the seafood experience, the freshness and preparation reflecting a commitment to quality. The Beef Bhuna is a savory masterpiece, tender beef marinated in spices that unfold with every mouthful. The cleanliness of the restaurant is impeccable, and it's refreshing to find a Bangladeshi eatery that maintains such high standards. The staff's hospitality is commendable, with every waiter exuding warmth and courtesy. Nabanno offers a quieter ambiance compared to other Bangladeshi restaurants, which we appreciate. While every dish has been a hit, we found that the tangy flavor of olive in the Kachki Fish curry didn't quite align with our Bangladeshi palate. Nevertheless, this small suggestion aside, Nabanno remains a top choice for us in NYC. Highly recommended for anyone craving an authentic Bengali culinary experience with a side of cleanliness and excellent service👌🥰
I ordered singara for takeout, i asked that guys work in the counter is this fresh? He said its fresh and today made, although it wasn’t, every restaurant lied about to telling their food being fresh, long story short i came home then after eating that singara, I experienced severe food poisoning, vomiting nearly 10 times. I have never been this sick from food before—not even in Bangladesh, where I was exposed to pollution and adulterated food. This was by far the worst experience, and I was close to needing hospitalization. If you value your health, I strongly recommend staying away from restaurants like this.
The main reason to visit this restaurant is for the food. Don’t come expecting a trendy atmosphere, an immersive experience, or Instagram-worthy moments. Come if you’re hungry and want decent Bengali cuisine. I particularly love the biryanis here, especially the chicken biryani. It may look like any other Bengali chicken biryani, but appearances can be deceiving. The “chefs” at Nabanno have added their own touches, infusing it with a subtle mustard flavor alongside the traditional spices, making it incredibly flavorful. I highly recommend pairing the chicken biryani with mutton curry, along with some onions and chilis, for a satisfying meal. On weekends, they serve Kacchi Biryani, which is decent, but the chicken biryani is more memorable.
We ordered kachhi ,Kebab & roast polao . But all are very bad taste ! Don’t recommend this place
It was my niece birthday party. The food and service were great.
