About P.F. Chang's

P.F. Chang's is a Chinese Restaurant located at 1600 Settlers Ridge Center Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15205, USA. This establishment offers both dine-in and take-out services, presenting a familiar chain experience for those seeking Chinese cuisine.

According to customer reviews, the dining atmosphere at P.F. Chang's is often described as "neat." The service is generally considered "top notch" by some patrons. However, a recurring concern is the price point, with some customers feeling that the food is overpriced compared to local takeout options offering similar quality at a lower cost. Despite this, one reviewer mentioned dining there a few times a year, indicating a generally positive, albeit somewhat expensive, experience.

In contrast, another recent review detailed a significantly negative experience with a take-out order. The customer described the Chang's Spicy Chicken as consisting of bits and pieces resembling clam strips, a departure from the usual chunks of white chicken. The pan-fried shrimp dumplings were reportedly barely pan-fried and almost raw. A kids' orange chicken dish was received as battered chicken with no sauce. Furthermore, a substitution request for a dessert item was seemingly agreed upon but not fulfilled. This reviewer also reported issues with unprofessional management and a lack of returned phone calls. They expressed strong dissatisfaction with the food quality and the overall experience, particularly for the price paid, and stated they would not be returning.

The negative review also mentioned missing items from the order, such as plates, soy sauce, fortune cookies, and a special sauce advertised online. The customer was informed that the special sauce was unavailable, raising questions about the accuracy of the online offerings. Additionally, an issue with the orange chicken preparation was acknowledged by a staff member, but the customer was not proactively informed or offered an alternative.

In summary, P.F. Chang's in Pittsburgh appears to offer a pleasant dine-in atmosphere and generally good service, but at a price point that some find high. Recent experiences with take-out have been notably negative for at least one customer, citing issues with food quality, order accuracy, and customer service. Local users considering P.F. Chang's should weigh these contrasting reviews regarding food quality and value for money. For reservations or inquiries, they can contact the restaurant at (412) 788-2901 or +1 412-788-2901. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's over priced Chinese food. I get the same quality at my local takeout except it's not on a fancy plate at less than half the cost. Other than the ridiculous price tag, the food is quality, the service is top notch, and it has a neat atmosphere. Another thing i should mention... yes I think it's over priced... but I do eat here a few times a year... so it is pretty good.

If I could give zero stars I would. I will honestly say, I will NEVER eat here again. I ordered take out to be delivered and the food was disgusting. I wouldn’t have given it to a dog. I ordered Chang’s Spicy Chicken and all I got was bits and pieces of chicken and it was like clam strips. It never used to be that way. It was always chunks of white chicken. I ordered 6 pan fried shrimp dumplings that were barely(and I mean BARELY)pan fried that they were almost raw. I then ordered a kids orange chicken and all that was on the dish was battered chicken with no sauce at all. They were advertising a red velvet cake. I called and asked if I could substitute it for a key like and spoke to Heather on the phone and she went and asked her manager that said yes and she asked my last name so she could right it on the slip. I never got it. The management there is TERRIBLE! VERY unprofessional. They don’t return phone calls either. When I called and told them the issue, I spoke with Heather, and she gave me some convoluted story that they’ve been having a problem with their orange chicken, but they didn’t have the common sense to call me and say “hey we can’t do the orange chicken, would you like something else?”. I also asked for plates, soy sauce, fortune cookies, and special sauce that they offer on their site for delivery. Heather told me: “We don’t have special sauce”. Why offer it as an option if you’re not going to put it in the bag? PF Chang’s USED TO BE my favorite restaurant, but they have definitely seen the last of me. I recommend going to Panda Express. At least you can see the food being made right in front of you and what’s in the window. If you ask them to make it fresh for you, they accommodate gladly. $52.25 is a rip off for what I got and didn’t get.

Bernie was a fun, knowledgeable, and vibrant server. He went out of his way to make sure my family was taken care of. I was so nice to have gluten free and vegetarian options. My tea came out in a beautiful teapot and my husbands old fashioned came out smoking! The atmosphere was so romantic and my son ate every bite of his favorite orange chicken! They brought out a sparkler with the biggest slice of chocolate cake for my birthday! Overall a wonderful memory and experience. I look forward to coming back!

I don't live in the US but have to be in the US once a year (at least) for work purposes. So, it's not my first time to P.F. Chang's. While I would not expect Chinese food to be at the same standards as back home in Singapore, in this instance, the noodles I had was very salty and soggy. Based on the photo, it didn't look like so, but it was really quite inedible. Ironically, it was a Singapore noodle that I had. I chose it out of curiosity because there isn't really a signature noodle dish (known as Singapore noodle) back home in Singapore. The service and attentiveness of the waitress was good. Maybe if I had ordered something else it would be fine or perhaps on another day, the Singapore noodle might be delicious as well. But I had to share my experience because I had to go to McDonald's after that to fill my stomach.

I've been here several times over the past couple of years... Last two times have been the best! The food and service were so much better the past two times, so I'll be back! Most recently I went and Tiffany was my server... she was incredible, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They have half order of chicken lettuce wraps now, which is great for when you're dining solo! They tasted great! The lo mien side dish was excellent too; tasted great with the ginger chicken. I'll definitely return!
