About P.F. Chang's
Located at 2201 Kalākaua Ave in the vibrant Waikiki Beach area of Honolulu, HI 96815, USA, P.F. Chang's stands as a well-known Chinese Restaurant offering a modern approach to Asian cuisine. Accessible by phone at (808) 628-6760 or mobile at +1 808-628-6760, this establishment is part of a larger chain recognized for its contemporary ambiance and a diverse menu of Chinese-inspired dishes. Based on recent customer reviews, P.F. Chang's in Waikiki offers a mixed experience, with some patrons highly recommending it and others finding aspects of their visit to be less than exceptional.
One reviewer who tried a special offering that included an appetizer, a side, and an entree for a price range of approximately $22-$25, noted that while the spicy chicken and Mongolian beef were tasty, the portion size of the protein was "really quite small," even comparing it unfavorably to portions found at a food court. They did mention a "good ambiance outdoors" but noted that their seating was inside. The service was described as "average but friendly." While they found the value to be "reasonable for the price," they also stated that they had experienced "much better Chinese food elsewhere." This suggests that while P.F. Chang's might offer an acceptable dining option, it may not stand out as the pinnacle of Chinese cuisine for all diners.
In contrast, another customer expressed absolute delight with their dining experience at P.F. Chang's Waikiki Beach. They found the food to be "incredible" and the staff to be "warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit." Their top recommendations included the Mongolian Beef, which they described as "tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked," and the Singapore Street Noodles, praised for having "just the right amount of spice and savory goodness." This reviewer was so impressed that they were already looking forward to their next visit to explore more of the menu and gave a "highly recommend" endorsement.
A brief but significant comment highlighted a staff member named Carly, with a simple yet powerful "Carly is Great! 👍 Made our afternoon a special one." This positive mention underscores the potential for exceptional service at this location, suggesting that the quality of the staff can significantly enhance the dining experience for some guests.
Based on these reviews, the environment at P.F. Chang's in Waikiki appears to offer both indoor and potentially appealing outdoor seating options. One reviewer specifically noted the "good ambiance outdoors," indicating that the exterior setting might be a draw for some. The interior ambiance was not detailed in these reviews, but as part of a well-known chain, it likely features a contemporary and stylish decor consistent with the P.F. Chang's brand.
The services offered at P.F. Chang's seem to include standard dine-in service, with staff members attending to guests at their tables. The positive review praised the staff for being "warm, welcoming, and attentive," while another described the service as "average but friendly." The mention of a specific staff member, Carly, going above and beyond to make a guest's afternoon special indicates that there are employees dedicated to providing excellent customer service. It is reasonable to assume that P.F. Chang's also offers takeout services, given the prevalence of this option in the restaurant industry, although it was not explicitly mentioned in these reviews.
The features of P.F. Chang's in Waikiki include a menu of Chinese-inspired dishes, with some standout items receiving high praise, such as the Mongolian Beef and Singapore Street Noodles. The availability of a special menu offering an appetizer, side, and entree at a set price point suggests that they may have promotional deals to attract customers. However, the portion sizes of some dishes, particularly the protein in the special offering, were noted as being small by one reviewer. The menu likely caters to a broad range of tastes, blending traditional Chinese flavors with contemporary culinary approaches, which is characteristic of the P.F. Chang's brand.
Currently, the provided reviews do not explicitly mention any ongoing promotional information beyond the special offer that one reviewer tried. To obtain details about current promotions, happy hour specials, or any other discounts, it would be best to check the P.F. Chang's website for the Waikiki location or contact them directly by phone. Given that P.F. Chang's is a national chain, they often have various promotions running at different times of the year, so it is worth inquiring about any current offers.
In conclusion, P.F. Chang's in Waikiki Beach, Honolulu, offers a modern take on Chinese cuisine in a potentially appealing setting, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Customer experiences vary, with some praising the flavorful dishes and attentive service, while others find the portion sizes small or the overall quality not exceeding that of other Chinese restaurants. The Mongolian Beef and Singapore Street Noodles appear to be popular choices. The service seems generally friendly, with at least one staff member being particularly exceptional. While a special offer was mentioned, no comprehensive promotional information was provided in the reviews. Local users looking for a contemporary Chinese dining experience in Waikiki may find P.F. Chang's to be a reasonable option, but should perhaps consider the varying feedback regarding portion sizes and overall food quality when making their decision.

We tried their special where you get an appetizer, a side, and and entree for roughly 22-25 dollars. The portion of protein was really quite small - I’ve had more food at a food court. The spicy chicken was tasty; as was the Mongolian beef. Good ambiance outdoors but we were seated inside - service was average but friendly. Reasonable value for the price but I’ve had much better Chinese food elsewhere.
Absolutely loved my dining experience at P.F. Chang’s Waikiki Beach! The food was incredible, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. My top picks were the Mongolian Beef—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked—and the Singapore Street Noodles, which were packed with just the right amount of spice and savory goodness. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of the delicious items on their menu. Highly recommend! Carly is Great! 👍 Made our afternoon a special one.
Absolutely beautiful !! What a gem !!! The Staff, the Spot - the amazing fresh food. Loved it. Kevin was so helpful in us selecting our meals and he was 100% on point !!! And such a lovely friendly person to deal with. Their happy hour 1-5pm - only sad thing is we found it a day before we were leaving so won’t make it back. Dinner was on point - so fresh ! Great sizes. Can’t recommend enough !!
Travelling Aussies 🇦🇺 We enjoyed a fabulous family dinner at this venue in 2014, and had to return However, as often happens, we felt the food quality and service had slipped since that initial visit We ordered from the dinner specials menu, which offers a starter & main and we presumed a on alohocic beverage for around USD$21.99 It seems the beverage, pomegranate lemonade, was an additional USD$7 cost and tasted like cordial 😳 My soup arrived after the mains and the optional fried rice was bland. Thankfully, my hot & sour soup was great My wife’s spring roll starter was served on her mains plate and was undercooked 🥲 The kitchen replaced the spring roll with two more, but they arrived after we’d finished our meals All in all, a little disappointing for what we expected from this iconic restaurant
Shout out to Julia our server. Very quick, very professional. First time experiencing PF Changs. Had two lunch specials which were very tasty with sufficient protein and veggies. Tried the egg soup which I have also never experienced before, at Julia’s recommendation, and it was great. We had the terryaki Chicken with noodles and the sesame chicken. Both fresh and tasty
