About Outback Steakhouse

Outback Steakhouse is a restaurant located at 27 Possum Park Rd, Newark, DE 19711, USA. They can be contacted at (302) 366-8012 or +1 302-366-8012. It is important to note that despite being listed under the category of Chinese Restaurant, Outback Steakhouse is known for its steaks and Australian-themed cuisine, offering both dine-in and meal takeaway.

One customer who visited for lunch on a Saturday noted that the restaurant "Wasn’t too busy" and their "waitress was great" (though she was not involved in cooking). However, they reported significant problems with the food quality. Their daughter’s noodles were described as "freezing cold, freezer temperature." Both the "Alice springs chicken" and the "chicken on the Barbie" were "rock hard" and difficult to cut. This customer strongly advised others to "Save your time and go up 202 to the glen mills outback," suggesting that location provides a better experience.

In contrast, another customer specifically mentioned the "amazing" "2 pork chop dinner" which featured a "very very tasty" mustard rub. They also expressed their fondness for the "blooming onion," a popular Outback appetizer.

Based on these reviews, the Outback Steakhouse in Newark, DE, appears to have inconsistent food quality. While one customer experienced severely underprepared and overcooked dishes, another praised the pork chops and the blooming onion. The service from the waitress in the negative review was noted as great, but the overall food experience was poor. Local users considering meal takeaway from this location should be aware of the potential for quality issues, as highlighted by one reviewer who recommends the Glen Mills location instead. However, the positive feedback on the pork chops and blooming onion suggests that some dishes may be well-received. More information would be needed to provide a comprehensive assessment of the environment and services beyond the food quality.

The environment is implied to be a standard Outback Steakhouse setting, though no specific details were provided. Services include dine-in (mentioned in the context of the waitress) and meal takeaway. Features include the blooming onion (a popular appetizer), and the 2 pork chop dinner with a tasty mustard rub (according to one positive review). However, a significant concern raised is the potential for poor food quality, including cold noodles and rock-hard chicken. No specific promotional information is available in the provided text.

Went for lunch on a Saturday. Wasn’t too busy. Our waitress was great but she wasn’t cooking the food. The cook must of been mad or was recooking/using old food from the day before. My daughter’s noodles were freezing cold, freezer temperature… luckily my 4 year old knew something wasn’t right. I felt them and they were COLD!!! Apparently no one checked them or re-heated them. Sent them back and then I guess a manager brought them back out no apology or anything, then the Alice springs chicken along with the chicken on the Barbie, was rock hard couldn’t even cut it! Save your time and go up 202 to the glen mills outback. That location values customers and understands the outback experience this location doesn’t!!!

I recently had even better experiences here than 23 years ago when I first visited this chain. The steaks have really been on point, and I was lucky to have great service both times. Once, I was out for lunch with a friend and the other visit was dinner with my family. It's nice to know you can go into a reasonably priced restaurant chain to have a good meal and actually want to come back. Whenever I'm out of the area and see an Outback Steakhouse, I will feel more inclined to stop in there for a meal.

Went for the $14.99 Coconut Shrimp special. We used to go over a year ago weekly when they had the same special. The salad was half the size as before. The draft beer used to be ~ 30 oz, now ~ 20 oz. The 8 coconut shrimp were hugh, golf ball size! Not the smaller appetizer size. The baked potato was big. The bread comes with regular butter instead of honey butter now. The included cheesecake desert was very good sized and great. Optional Bloomin Onion was normal and great also. So, a great deal and great food, just the salad and beer are smaller. But I would rather cut back there rather than the rest...

I came here for dinner with a close friend without a reservation. It wasn't crowded so I thought it was normal for a Tuesday evening. We liked what we ordered for starters, but we had just started eating and our main courses arrived immediately. It came very quickly. It was as if they wanted us to eat and leave immediately. We looked around for the waitress for almost 15 minutes to order a second drink. We had had a tiring day and we didn't pay much attention to all this negativity. They brought the bill to the table before we even did not finished our meal and we did not asked for it. I found this extremely rude. The service was simply disgraceful. How can they be so bad? Totally disappointed. I will never ever back again.
