Our New Place（新吉祥中餐館)

I went in and asked if they could make me sesame beef (which they didn't have on the menu) and without any further conversation the server walked away and then returned a few minutes later with fantastic sesame beef. Really quiet and clean place with lots of seating and nice restrooms. The food was fresh and crispy and the rice was really good too. Nice little oasis if you're hot/cold/tired/hungry and the prices are very reasonable.

I ordered the tofu with mixed vegetables (pictured). I requested that the tofu be steamed and come with a brown sauce on the side, for dipping purposes. The vegetables have little taste, but the tasty sauce made up for that. It comes with a choice of white or brown rice. The next time I was there I had their beef with broccoli (pictured). The tender beef had a mild beef flavor that I liked, it was enhanced by the brown sauce. The beef with broccoli ($21.95) comes with a choice of white or brown rice.

Our New Place is bright and spacious. My takeout order took only 15 minutes to come out. The food comparatively is slightly more expensive than other nearby Chinese restaurants, but not significantly better. Although I requested less sauce for the mixed vegetables, there was still quite a bit of sauce in the dish. The house special lo mein (with shrimp, pork and chicken) was a better choice.

Found out about this restaurant through a friend and she did not disappoint. It has a chill and friendly vibe with excellent service. Whenever my friend asked for more orders, they’d respond quickly. Not to mention, the food here is amazing. The Grand Mariner Prawns, my favorite, was crunchy, soft and chewy in the best possible way. If your looking for a new Chinese restaurant, then I’d definitely recommend this one!!

I was passing through the neighborhood and decided to go into this restaurant alone. The Shrimp Fried Rice was OK. I ordered Green Tea which was served in a used glass with lipstick marks on it. When paying, they were aggressively approached for TIP. I always pay TIPs but it is not mandatory. You can't force people to pay tip.
