Oriental Cuisine Kainan

This restaurant is located in the University shoppes located to the far left of the strip mall. There is plenty of parking. The interior is spacious with seating cafe style - booths along the wall, cafe 4 top tables in the main area, and more in the adjacent room. There are food items for purchase in the adjacent room and along the wall to the right before ordering at the counter. I informed the staff this was my first time and they were helpful in assisting with food choices and explained the items. I opted for the white rice with 2 entree items. The lumpia were half sized and were great to get a few to try. The food and snack item all cost under $20 which was a bargain and the tray was packed with food. Everything was flavorful and delicious! The staff were helpful and made sure I enjoyed my first visit!

Great atmosphere and great service. Lots of option to choose from. We only order entree that we never cook at home as it could be tedious. Food was delicious, fresh and hot, not too salty or oily like some other Filipino restaurants. We come to VA Beach every year and this is our second time coming here and they never disappoint.

Went during lunch time with my mom and grandma and I am always pleased when I come here to eat! They were super busy but sooo kind and nice and worked as fast as they could. Restaurant is clean and food is classic lovable filipino dishes, they never disappoint! One of my fav filipino spots in VA beach

I thought this place was the farthest Philippine restaurant from my home, but it turned out to be the closest. Pancit/lumpia combo and rice with two selections; this time, it's dinuguan and lechon kawali. Well done all around. On the lechon kawali, the crispy parts were crispy, and the tender parts were tender, unlike another restaurant where there is no love on the lechon kawali as sometimes the bottom has overcooked, carbonized pork, not edible by any means. The dinuguan was good as well. I like the dinuguan at Susan's as well. The other dinuguan from the other place was pretty bad last time. Pancit was well seasoned, I wish it had more stuff in it besides noodles. The steam table looks inviting when you enter, different than the other places I've been. The layout of the place is nice. Most condiments are easily used, but you have to ask for a lid for the to-go ramekins. No mild peppers available like at Susan's. That's the missing star. Staff was nice, efficient, and helpful. I'm going back sometime, you should, too.

I’m not one that likes to leave review! But mannnnn, this place is so good! I got 5 different dishes to try and ALL of them taste amazing! Just told my friends that they gotta come and try it. Truly a gem! I had to stop by my friend’s house on the home from this place so she could try it too. My friend loves it too!!! We will be regular customer! I don’t know the name of the dishes but what I know is they taste amazing!
