Reasonably priced, not so expensive. Dishes are not as salty as many places. Traditional settings with food on carts. Smaller dishes start at $4.95. would improve if you add in more spices, like garlic, ginger...

This has become a staple in our restaurant rotation, and I truly wonder how we got by without it all these years. Authentic, good quality dim sum in Nassau. The food from the regular menu is also delicious. This is a great addition to the neighborhood. We have dined in and gotten takeout (many times) and the food is always delicious.

**Terrible Experience at Orient Restaurant** ⭐️☆☆☆☆ I recently hosted a Christmas Eve dinner at Orient Restaurant in New Hyde Park for 15 guests, and it was an absolute disaster. We dropped around $880, expecting a festive feast, but what we got was shockingly disappointing. The ambiance? It looked like a cheap Chinese takeout joint—definitely not what you want for a holiday celebration. First off, most of the dishes were excessively salty, bordering on inedible. It felt like they were trying to mask the fact that the food wasn’t fresh. The seafood soup was a complete letdown—tasteless and bland, leaving us all wondering if we were even eating anything at all. Then came the flounder. It arrived smelling and tasting so fishy that we couldn’t believe it was served in a restaurant. When we brought this to the owners’ attention, instead of an apology, they chose to argue with us! They outright denied that their fish was bad and refused to even taste it themselves. Talk about terrible customer service! This experience has left a sour taste in our mouths—literally and figuratively. We will NEVER return to Orient Restaurant, and I strongly advise others to think twice before dining here. Save your money and find a place that actually values freshness and customer satisfaction!

Been coming here for dim sum recently as it's pretty close to the house. Food does not disappoint. They have the typical dim sum assortment. First time we came, they have the carts that come around. Second time, we ordered from a menu and they brought out the food. Either way food tastes great. Plenty of seating available. Parking lot is small and can be an issue during their busy times. Will definitely be back.

Bad service, terrible parking situation, and average food. We have great expectations from this new Cantonese restaurant, but so far they haven’t lived up to our expectations. The first time we were there was their grand opening and the service was bad. We thought we would give them another chance hoping the service would have been improved since grand opening. Nope. Nothing has changed. Still bad service second time around. We had to ask for tea, then we got wrong tea; we had to pack our own food when we were ready to check out. I like the shrimp dumplings and fried fish fillet with tofu, other dishes just average.
